I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Fantasy Friday - Cherry Picking

I’m very happy to tell you that our own Minelle is getting back into the writing and drawing business. A few of you newer folks might not know Minelle but she is fantastic at both writing and drawing. She lives a busy… let’s make that hectic… well actually let’s call it chaotic life. I think she is a very happy woman, but a demanding and stressful job along with a lively family contributes greatly to this busy, hectic, somewhat chaotic whirlwind! But maybe, just maybe she is now finding time to pursue some of her interests again.
This story was showcased as a Fantasy Friday years ago, but I’m sure it will be new to many. It’s a nice long story so if you don’t have time to read it before rushing off to work, don’t forget to come back. And the best thing – it’s in two parts so you’ll be able to finish it tomorrow on Minelle’s blog - My Breath. And as you enjoy the artwork, remember, Minelle did them all!
Enjoy…

Cherry Picking

The day was sunny and calm looking, outside of the large kitchen window, where the image of several cherry trees completed a charming visage. Claire and Michael were sitting at the table and enjoying an afternoon cup of coffee while discussing the plans for the new deck that would take the place of their old fashioned and rickety back porch. That porch was off limits for anyone and Michael was absolutely resolute that neither of them ever goes out on the dangerous structure. The wood was rotting and probably couldn’t safely hold 50 pounds. Unfortunately, the house had been vacant for 6 months prior to her purchase. That was certainly something that did not help the condition of the porch.
Not that Claire would do anything foolish, but Michael stressed painful repercussions would be visited on her behind if she disregarded his wishes.  That was never going to happen.
Claire noted that she hadn’t had a spanking for over a month. They most often experimented with the good erotic kind. Yum, she and Michael certainly enjoyed those sexy in the bedroom spankings. Last night was a great example. They were both quite satisfied this morning.
She hadn’t done anything that would constitute a different kind of spanking. One she was not anxious to feel. Michael had out lined his “spanking” belief system.  He made sure they discussed it enough that she realized his assertion that he was not controlling. However, she better run for the hills it she ever directly disobeyed him concerning her safety. She smiled and thought there will never be a reason for him to spank me. I do not do dangerous things ever. I am an angel.
They hadn’t moved in together, but considered all their possessions as jointly held. Michael spent most of his nights with her anyway; however with him being an administrator at the school, they felt too many tongues would be wagging about them not being married. September 29thcame soon enough.  They planned on saving some money by having the reception here at their house.
So far they had made few changes in the house with the exception of opening up the kitchen by removing the pantry and mud room.  Now they could enjoy the large kitchen and look out to the lovely back yard. Claire and Michael considered the kitchen to be the heart of a home so they were concentrating their energies in creating that space.
“Michael I am nervous the deck will not be finished in time for the wedding.” Claire worriedly looked at her future husband, as she nervously chewed her lower lip. They planned on tying the knot in late September and they had so much to take care of before then, considering it was already the end of July.
“I called them and the carpenter said he would hire extra employees in order to complete the project two weeks prior to our big day. If something changes, we are not going to make ourselves sick anticipating every problem. We just need to make sure no one walks out on that porch, ever!”
Changing the subject Claire said, “well the best part of all this stress is that we can have everything but the church ceremony here, with the icing on the cake being how we transform our yard into a classy reception. I really am happy we chose the party planners we have. Myrna, Nora and Maureen have proved themselves indispensable!!”
“They really are fantastically talented.  I love the idea of each person lighting a lantern and releasing it after our last dance.”

“They are creating a perfectly romantic mood.” She leaned over and kissed him on the lips.
He kissed her back and said, “I understand they got themselves in a bit of serious trouble several months ago. Michael grabbed the coffee pot and poured them each more coffee. Something about a mob scam and some company called ‘The Cats Meow.’ “Their husbands are Ex FBI agents and now private detectives. Although I understand they are still consulting for the government. Anyway, I guess they had to rescue Myrna, Nora and Maureen, after some crazy mob criminals captured them. I can’t imagine what they were doing at that rundown factory.  Michael frowned as he took a sip of his coffee.
“Claire smiled and raised her eyebrows saying, “oh yea the ladies told me all about that! I heard they were able to extricate themselves BEFORE their husbands arrived. I think they were very brave.” She sliced them each a large piece of homemade banana bread to have with their coffee. She knew they both had a weakness for the treat. However she rarely indulged trying to retain her slimmer figure for the wedding. Oh well she thought, tomorrow I will go for a long bike ride.
Michael frowned replying, “I heard the story a bit differently, it was extremely dangerous for them, and they are lucky to be alive. I would have laid down the law on their behinds.” He happily enjoyed his first bite of the homemade bread, quickly finishing the piece and reaching for more.
“I do believe their husbands are of the same thought process as you Mr. Neanderthal,” Claire teased. She thought she recognized the signs of a sore behind on her new friends one or two times. “They sure are a feisty group, she stated with admiration in her tone.” Walking to the fridge, Claire took out the half and half for their coffee. She looked longingly at the rest of the bread, thinking how unfair it was that men burned calories just sitting on their behinds, while she only looked at a desert and needed to work it off.
“You have become quite friendly with them, Michael replied, as he poured some half and half in his cup. Unfortunately or fortunately you seem to fit right in with the ladies! Good thing I love your crazy spontaneity,” he declared, kissing her softly on the lips. She sure had gotten some crazy ideas in her head, which didn’t always turn out for the better. He couldn’t help hoping… and leaning toward believing, she was past that craziness.
Claire smiled thinking about some of the harmless mischief she, Colleen and the ladies entertained each other with on occasion. They often met for drinks at Marley’s to hash out ideas for the yard. Her mind began to drift to an incident last week, when Michael’s phone interrupted her thoughts.
Claire was half listening to Michael’s conversation when she realized he was talking to her brother Steven.  She hoped it was news about the Global education conference Michael wished to attend in Washington DC.  Her brother had been working hard to have the School Board approve the expense. Unfortunately that would mean he would be gone an entire week this summer, but it also meant a little girl time, maybe with Myrna, Nora and Maureen.
As Michael hung up with Steven he was smiling broadly. Her heart gave a little jump, she really loved this man. “Good news honey?” Claire loved seeing him happy.
“They are completely supportive recognizing that it would only benefit the school. It is truly exciting when you have parents and board members who value a teachers experience and knowledge!”
Michael explained that he would be leaving for the conference the following Monday and returning Saturday. Claire would be driving him to the airport and picking him up upon his return.
After dinner later that night Michael left for his apartment; Claire was sitting at the kitchen table working on an illustration for a children’s book. Rubbing her eyes, she happened to glance up and notice a moving light near one of the cherry trees in the back yard. She quickly turned off the light in the kitchen so she would be better able to see what was happening. Her heart was pounding in her chest, but she walked to the back door and stepped out on the rickety porch. She knew Michael would be upset that she was on the porch, but assured herself this was a justifiable exception to his rule. The warmth of the summer evening was stifling after being in the air conditioned house. She thought is my imagination playing tricks on me as she looked at the moving light?
Getting angry about her indecision, she walked to the rail and shouted in the direction of the light. “Hey, what’s going on? Why are you in my yard?!”
The light was quickly turned off, and she heard scuffling and fierce whispers over near one of the cherry trees. After a few seconds there was silence, but unfortunately a large rock came flying up to the porch causing her to startle and twist, scraping her arm on a protruding rusty nail. Then the rail gave way and beneath her foot the rotted wood bowed down. Crud!  Ouch she thought, as she turned too quickly and next twisted her ankle! Well, this is certainly a mess she noted feeling her ankle throb in pain! Stupid, stupid she railed at herself, what was I thinking?
Shaking and limping Claire hurried back inside, closed and locked the door. She was lucky she hadn’t fallen off the porch. Her left forearm was dripping blood but she limped to the phone and called 911! The next call was to Michael, and before Claire finished hanging up he was running back to the house.
Claire was beginning to think about how Michael would view her actions. When he burst through the front door she thought… here we go! Before He could demand an explanation, they heard sirens outside, and seconds later Michael opened the door to the Chief of Police.
Claire’s brother Sean walked hurriedly to her side. “What the heck happened?”
“Since when does the Chief of police come out on a minor call?” Claire commented exasperatedly. She noticed the two other detective walking around outside.
Sean growled out his response, “when his baby sister is the victim!”
“This is my own Damn fault.” I shouldn’t have gone outside on that dangerous, condemned porch!” Both Michael and Sean looked at her as if she was daft, knowing the condition of the rotted wood.
“Why don’t you explain what happened word for word and step by step, Michael calmly stated. He did not look happy thought Claire, reading his frowning countenance.
Seeing her bother and Michael so upset, warned Claire to make light and justify her actions. To keep herself busy she started to clean her wound and put several bandages across the deep cut while taking them through the last half hour. Michael stopped her and had her sit while he finished bandaging her arm.  Neither of the men looked happy with the excuses for her actions.
Oh for the love of testosterone she thought.
“It may have been some crazy kids on a dare. I just don’t like the fact that they threw that rock at you when they felt threatened. They should have just run away. Hopefully this was just a onetime random occurrence. Sean began. However Claire, I am not sure you should stay here alone until we know for sure.”
Just as the lecture was beginning the two other detectives walked in from the backyard. They had set up some flood lights to illuminate the surrounding area.
Sean asked his men to share what they discovered, if anything, in the yard.
“It is a bit strange sir; there were shovels and picks by the cherry tree. It looked as if they were digging pretty deep holes near the base of the tree. They actually look as if they were creating a circle of holes, each about one foot in diameter, around the trunk.
Michael looked at Claire and said firmly, “I am moving in for good tonight.”
“Well darling I am certainly on board with that.”
“Not so sure you will be as happy in the morning, whispered Michael, when I spank your behind for the danger you placed yourself in tonight! I warned you not to go out on that porch for any reason, didn’t I?
She blushed furiously when Michael spoke, suspecting Sean knew what he was saying when her brother smiled and winked at her.
“I am sure they were harmless kids I just wasn’t taking any chances…” her voice faded when she looked at Michael’s expression.
Sean leaned down and kissed her saying, “you need to go and get a tetanus shot little sister.”
“No way, they have made my arm hurt and swell! I will call and see when my last one was, tomorrow. If I need one I will go after I find out!” How could she be so brave accosting the sneaky flashlight wielding person, one minute, but afraid of a shot the next minute,” she asked herself.
“Claire?”
“Yes Michael?” She answered gritting her teeth.
“It will be better to take care of this tonight, and then we can get an x-ray of your ankle at the same time. Of course if you would rather talk about what happened….”Michael suggested raising his eye brows questioningly?
Claire thought, ok… ding, ding, ding, not stupid, he is clearly suggesting I take the lesser of two evils.
“Alright, ok, let’s go to take care of everything now.” Her smile was like a scary grin.

When they returned home late that night exhausted from the whole process, all they could think about was bed. Yet when Michael climbed in beside Claire, he kissed her with a passion that ignited her own as she found herself turning to him in eagerness. Sleep came much later for the two of them.
Claire woke early the next morning and quietly moved off the bed and hobbled on her sprained ankle into the bathroom to shower. Her arm was bandaged so the wound was protected for a few days. She knew that sooner than she imagined she would need the wound to get some air for healing purposes. However, now she needed to keep it dry, and covered.  Difficult shower coming up!

Michael turned to cuddle Claire and noticed she was up already. As he became more aware he heard the shower going and Claire’s aggravated cussing. She was in a bad mood. He sighed with purpose knowing Claire was going to fight her spanking for yesterday’s remarkably BAD decision. He was not going to let her away with this. She was going to regret not thinking. When he saw the fallen railing his heart stopped, she could have broken her neck.
Claire put on her purple boy cut panties and a t-shirt. She opened the bathroom door entering into the bedroom and found Michael sitting on the edge of the bed. He looked at her with determination in his eyes.
She stopped. “NO WAY Michael I have suffered enough! You cannot possibly mean to spank me. I will not tolerate that one bit!” She felt her face redden in anger at his audacity.
“Claire I AM spanking you. I told you what to expect if you even imagined going out on the rotted rickety porch.” He saw in her eyes that she was going to walk away and before she made it to the door, he moved quickly and had lifted her off her feet and over to a bench in front of the bed. Michael firmly, but carefully settled her across his knees, as he sat down. “Do not spank me,” She yelled, struggling as she was face down over his knee, “I didn’t ask someone to come in our yard, I was just making sure they knew I was aware of them!!”
“Seriously?” he said as he tightened his arm around her waist making sure she wouldn’t be able to fling herself off his lap. Then assuring himself she wouldn’t hurt her arm or bang her ankle, he yanked down her underwear to her knees.

That, SMACK! SMACK! SMACK! , is why you are getting spanked. “Why didn’t you just call 911?” SMACK! SMACK!  SMACK!
“Because I wasn’t even sure that something was happening at first.” She was twisting and turning trying to avoid his smacks. STOP spanking me you… you… JERK! She knew her bottom was turning a bright pink!
“What? Claire not smart when you are across my knee.” Five more fierce smacks fell on her rounded cheeks!
“Ouch! That hurts Michael!” Oh why did she have to fall in love with a spanker she asked herself as he continued reddening her behind? Each smack built on the one before and it was getting harder to stay on his lap!
“You could have broken your neck!” SMACK! SMACK! SMACK!   Ouch! Ouch! Michael put his right leg across both of her legs to keep her from wiggling so much.
“You do not seem one bit sorry Claire! I told you the porch was dangerous!” Spank after spank fell on her sore behind.
“Owwwwch she shouted!”
“I am sorry I worried you,” that was as far as she could concede! He quickly brought the spanking to an end, cautiously satisfied she wouldn’t put herself in danger like that again.
When he pulled her up to sit on his lap she was not happy and she refused to meet his eyes, and crossed her arms sitting stiffly. “Claire? Come on look at me. This should not be unexpected to you. I told you I would spank you if you went out on that porch.”
“No I am really upset with you. Spanking me was an overreaction to your worry.” She pulled her pants up and got off of his lap. She wouldn’t give him the satisfaction of rubbing her butt. I hurt myself, which should have saved my butt!”

“Alright then let’s go take a look at the porch,” he said. She looked at him and said, “okay” thinking she would show him! He would see that it wasn’t that bad out on the porch. Then he would feel guilty for making her suffer even more. Hmph!
They walked downstairs and into the kitchen. Michael held Claire’s hand as she looked out the large window. What she saw made her cringe. The front railing was gone, and it was right above the concrete basement stairs. Where she twisted her ankle the wood was cracked and almost created a hole in the porch floor. That was bad enough, but as she continued she noticed places where the wood decay looked like white powder. She really was foolish to have walked out on that death trap. It was easy to see the danger in the morning light.

He looked like he was getting scared and angry again. She knew she needed to give over on this. Then she thought, God if someone larger walked out on that porch they may not have been so lucky.
“Well I still am not happy and still a LITTLE upset you spanked me but maybe I understand your reaction a bit better. I really am sorry for being impulsive. I understand why you were so scared and upset with my actions.” Claire softly touched Michael’s cheek and kissed him, looking directly into his eyes. “However trying to lighten the mood, she smiled, if you ever spank me and I do not deserve it…run for the hills!”
“Claire I will spank you whenever I feel you need it, and that is a promise. However, I will always listen to you and not think I am omnipotent.”
“That isn’t exactly reassuring, dear!” Mood was not lifting she thought.
He pulled her close and hugged her tight kissing her passionately enveloping her with his love.
“Well enough of this, let’s have a big breakfast and start our morning off right.” He smiled. Claire answered back with a smile of her own, starting to feel her anger melting away.
“I can think of a much better way to start off our morning…..unless you are not up to it?” she suggested.
“You sure your bottom is up to it?”
“As long as you are”….Wink! wink!
Michaels answer was to sweep her off her feet and make his way back to the bedroom for some morning fun!

TBT - How I became PK

When I began blogging I chose the name Elis. It was the name I was going to use if I ever ran away as a kid. I never wanted to run away, so the name just sat there in my head gathering dust until I needed as alias for blogland. That is who I was supposed to be but it didn't last long. I say Eva, dear friend and blogger from long ago gave it to me. She insist I did it to myself. As you read here, I think you'll see we're both right. I will say that if I'd known at the time I was going to be a published author I would definitely have found something more elegant and romantic. But when I started writing PK was how I was already know and this is the way it happened.

The original Fantasy Friday was a guessing game. The idea at the time was for several of us that had become friends to write fantasy stories and send them in. Then everyone could guess who wrote it. Many of us had begun to recognize each others writing styles so we worked hard to try to fool each other.

I had become close friends with several bloggers at the time. Friday morning as soon as I got to school Eva – my best buddy mind you, emailed me about the Fantasy Friday story. Her first words were “It’s got to be Grace!” I had to agree it did sound like Grace so when I got home that night Grace got my vote. Eve and I talked about it a couple of times over the weekend and then Monday morning I got to read the reveal. The author wasn't Grace – it was that sneaky Eva herself!

So… well I’ll let you read what Eva posted later that day. (Her words are in red and she is quoting my emails and comments in blue.)

******

I was so excited to wake up and see my story. And yes, I definitely had some fun with Elis over it. Guilty as charged. I saw Elliscomment on the reveal post. It said:

"I'll tell you what Elis' face looks like right now! Pissed!

(Really? Kinda like this mean little kitty?)

I'll get her! LOL! What kind of friend intentionally leads someone to the wrong
 answer!?

(One who wants to mess with your mind a bit?)

The first email I got from her last Friday said "It's got to be Grace!" It was
Nick that said "I don't know it could be Eva."

(That Nick, he's a wise fella~ you ought to pay more mind to him.)

Just wait, just wait. I'm plotting now!"

(Should I be skeered ?)

And actually, I was the first one to post on the Fantasy Friday reveal this morning:

"Yes, I too would love to
see Elis face when she sees this today.....

I suppose I should ask her to forgive me cuz I did mess with her head a b
it on Friday, pretending it HAD to be Grace and all.....

Forgive me, Elis?"

Oh, but wa
it. There's more. I got to work this morning and sent her a "Good grief, is it Monday already, Have a nice day" kind of email. It was really nice and all but what do I get in return? Have a look.....

"I'll get you."

(As in "I'll get you, my pretty?" Oh, dear.)

Its one thing to jump to the wrong conclusion, but you PUSHED me!

(Yes, but I'm a good guy. It was for your own good. Yeah, that's it. It was for your own good.)

And what really makes me mad is that Nick said he thought it might be you.

(Told ya, he's a very wise man that Nick)

Dog-gone-it!

(Yes, dog gone it... isn't Elis cute when she's "pissed?") And if I seriously thought for one second that Elis was REALLY upset with me, I'd be on my knees apologizing. We'll see what her response to this post is though. ROFL

*******

LOL! It was all in fun and we got a big kick out of that day. Several of my friends started calling me 'Pissed Kitty' - even Nick when I got on a roll, so it ended up sticking. I got a kick out of it and eventually the PK became permanent. I felt like I had been re-christened by my buddies. So now when I hear Elis it sounds like a stranger. I never intended to be PK but for better or worse I feel that's who I am.

~o~

And speaking of Fantasy Friday, I have a great one going up for you tomorrow. Be sure to come by!

1, 2, 3 ... Life Changing

As a kid, I did something I bet many of you did - I looked up spanking in the dictionary (for you young people, the dictionary was an ancient form of google.) That dictionary told me:

Spanking is a common form of corporal punishment involving the act of striking the buttocks of another person to cause physical pain, generally with an open hand. More severe forms of spanking, such as switching, paddling, belting, caning, whipping, and birching, involve the use of an object instead of a hand.

That was as titillating as it got back then.

I moved on from those ancient time, but my interest stayed the same and in 2006 I typed spanking into my computer search bar. Approximately 150 million suggestion were generated in .3 seconds. From this 150 million I chose to click on ‘My Bottom Smarts’ written by Bonnie. And in the time it takes to click a button my entire life changed.

I devoured Bonnie’s blog and many I found on her links like a starving man devours a banquet. Then I realized you could comment, then the bloggers commented back! From these bloggers, I got the strength and courage to come out to Nick. And from that we developed a closeness that had been missing for the first twenty-three years of our marriage. I changed my hairstyle. I began sleeping in the nude. I began writing spanking stories – I felt like I was coming out of a cocoon and I could be my true self, at least here on the blogs where it was safe.

I had no idea what I was doing and no idea where this blog might take me. At that time, I didn’t know that it would lead me to the best friends I’ve ever known. I didn’t know it would give me a voice and the courage to use it. I didn’t know it would give me my long-held, secret dream of being a writer. And I didn’t know it would give me a deep, rich marriage instead of the ‘marriage lite’ we’d had for years.

The idea of spending so much time writing a spanko/sex blog would seem amusing to some and a monumental waste of energy to others. But I’m so grateful to Bonnie and those other bloggers I found back then. I can only hope that I’ve been helpful to others who have stumbled across my blog over the years.

Yesterday, July 22, was my twelve year blogging anniversary.   I won’t blog forever. An even dozen might be a good place to stop. But I think I’ll try for a baker’s dozen and then see what happens.

Big plans for the weekend

I’m on my own this weekend. Nick is off golfing until Sunday. I don’t know about anyone else but I like my alone time. I don’t want him gone long, but a weekend a few times a year suits me fine. Now my experience isn’t like Baker’s. You can read about that here. My weekend is one of glorious solitude. Going to bed when I like, getting up when I like, eating what I want when I want it. I get to write for as long as I like and when I’m tired of writing I have
the TV to myself … all do to the fact that my beloved kids live on their own and my sweet Nick loves golf.

I was in a very foul mood Wednesday. Nothing really wrong – just frustrated and not able to get anything done. I was better Thursday, but not in a great mood yet. When I got up I had an email from Nick saying we might need to have a session before he left, to help me keep on track with the weight thing and as a little stress relief.  To be honest, I wasn’t really in the mood.

However, I don’t see saying no as an option. When Nick gave me my walking orders, I headed to the bedroom. He wanted everything off and me on the bed. In order to be accommodating I’d laid out an implement as he sometimes asks me to do. I put out one I got from a dear friend this summer. He decided to choose for himself.

He did not go easy! In fact he spanked pretty hard as he talked of the importance of continuing my regular gym visits. We have some big eating events coming up over the next month. His directive was for me to not gain during that time.  And honestly that is more than reasonable if I make the slightest effort. He then pulled out some of our worst implements as a painful incentive/threat to ‘encourage’ me to make this goal.

I wasn't in the best mood when we began and I was almost surprised that my mood was greatly improved after the spanking. That doesn't always happen these days. I think the hard spanking helped. And I think it will stay in my mind.

If you need me, I’ll be at the gym.

TBT - Ode to a Repair Man

Throw back Thursday again today. I first wrote this in 2006, but it's certainly still true. I wonder if anyone else can relate. The question is, have you ever helped your HOH try to install an appliance or repair pipes or such? I have to do this occasionally and it is not one of my favorite activities.

‘Ode to a Repair Man’

or

How to help your HOH replace a dishwasher
while the pipes under the sink fall apart as he touches them.

Have you ever tried to help install or replace a dishwasher, or some other appliance? I have some tips:

Rule one – Shut up. He does not want your help verbally; he does not want your opinion, your suggestions or anything else from you that requires speech.

Stay close. This is not the time to sit at the computer and laugh your ass off at someone’s post, relax in front of the tube or chat on the phone to a friend. This is especially true if the phone conversation includes how long it is taking to get the appliance installed. (see rule one)

Other helpful hints would include learning the names of basic tools. If he asks for a wrench, he does not want the needle nose pliers. Do not ask “Well, can’t you just use that?” (see rule one)

Realize that 99% of his questions are rhetorical and do not require an answer. Questions like, “Where did I put the damn screw?” “Why is this piece of shit falling apart?” and “Who needs a fucking dishwasher in the first place?” should not be answered. (see rule one)

Try to keep the flash light shinning in the direction he is looking. If you stare longing back toward the computer the light will veer away from the correct spot. If he grabs it out of you hand, don’t say “Your head got in the way.”(see rule one)

Lastly but not least - all finger gestures must be done out of sight of the HOH and comments like ‘Bite me’ and ‘Kiss my ass’, while perfectly acceptable, must be said in you head, not muttered aloud. (see rule one)

Pup approved spanking

You all know I was dead set against Mollie getting a puppy. And I still maintain I was right. But, of course, she got one anyway. And the one she got is as close to being perfect as you could ever want.

Mollie and friends are tooling around southern California as I write this. Nick and I are babysitting both the cat and the dog. Mollie’s cat has always hated me for some reason. If I reach to pet her I’m usually in danger of having my hand ripped open. My strategy for this visit has been to completely ignore her and it seems to be working. For the first four days she was here, I put down food and didn’t even speak. Never tried to approach or pet her. On the fifth day she rubbed against me and I ran my hand over her side once and then stopped. She did not turn and try to rip me to shreds. That’s major progress.

But this puppy, Maggie, is an angel. So sweet, so laid back, so obedient – she is a true joy. I open my front door to let her go out and tell her, “Go potty” she strolls out, squats, pees and trots back to the door. She sits on command, shakes, and waits when I put her food bowl down until I tell her she may have it.

One of her favorite spots.

I do love Goldens and I’ve toyed with the idea of getting a puppy once or twice. I think now I won’t. As good as Maggie is puppies do take up a lot of time and you sure can’t shut the door and head off for a weekend away. I think I’ll like keeping Maggie for Mollie when necessary and I won’t feel any guilt about asking Mollie to come look in on the cats when we take a week-long trip we’re planning for fall. But I think it will work best for Nick and I to enjoy the grandpup. Spoiling her a little and sending her home.

And one more wonderful thing about this pup – the sound of a good spanking and fine love making don’t affect her in the least! Nick had a birthday Saturday. When we got the time to celebrate I waffled about putting her in her crate but decided against it. Through different implements, various vocals and the ups and down, bending over and other movements on and around the bed she lay peacefully in the floor occasionally lifting her head, cocking it to the side and observed us without interfering. To which I say, Good Dog!

I don’t think I’ll report this last piece of good behavior to Mollie – I think I’ll just let her discover this on her own one of these days.

TBT - Spicing things up

I told you yesterday that I was babysitting Mollie's cat and puppy while she flies off to the other side of the country. She's all grown up now and quite independent when the mood strikes her. Nick and I love our empty nest now that the children have flow the coop - but as you can see here there was a time when Mollie was all up in my business. I first posted this in December, 2006.

I listen to people out here.  Really I do, so after reading Tiggr and Theresa and a few other places I just decided that I would get some ginger root when I was at the store.  Mollie was with me but what
does she know about cooking, except that I don’t do it? She asked me what in the world it was and I just told her it was a spice.  I wrapped it up and stuck it in the fridge.  I hadn’t given it any more thought than that.  I didn't know if I was going to try it, I didn’t know if I was going to tell Nick I had gotten it.  It was just there, wrapped up and tucked in the back of the crisper drawer, and then forgotten.

Last night I was sitting quietly blogging away. Nick and Mollie were in the kitchen when Mollie shouts to me, “Mom your ginger root is still in here what are you planning to do with it?”  Well to
me it sounded like “Mom you left your dildo on the counter in here, do you want it”.

Now if you have been reading here you know I am pretty good at thinking on my feet fending off Mollie’s questions.  But my mind was totally numb.  I knew I was blushing, I could feel it, but I was trying not to burst out laughing!  Unfortunately trying unsuccessfully to hold it back caused it to burst out more like a sob and Mollie ran in to see why I was crying.  Of course I was laughing so hard that tears were running down my face. She wanted to know what could possible be so funny.  I couldn’t come up with a thing. I just kept laughing and shook my head at her, which of course made her mad.

I really need to remember what Bonnie tried to say in one of her posts.  A belt or hair brush on the couch is not a dead give away to the average vanilla person.  I am sure some people cook with ginger.  But I’m not some people!  Would anyone out there be interested in a teenage?  We could work out some kinda time share maybe.  Think about it and let me know.

TBT - Early morning naked gymnastics

When I put up these TBT it's not to be profound or anything. They're just post I think you might enjoy.   This one was first posted in October, 2006. Mollie was thirteen at the time and visions of an empty nest were far in the future. I dedicate this to all of you trying to do your own version of TTWD while your nest is still full.

This will be a bit of rambling and not nearly as exciting as the title would indicate. First you need to know about one rule in our house that in my mind should never be broken. It ranks up there with the sun rising in the east and setting in the west. The rule is - Nick always gets out of bed first!

This started out naturally enough when we were first married.

He had to be at work at 6:30 AM and I had to go in at 9:00. He had mentioned, before we were married, that his mother always got up and fixed his dad a big hot breakfast before he went to work. I, of course, asked if he thought she would get up early enough to come to our house and do that. But evidently that wasn't the point he was trying to make. When it finally dawned on me that he was hoping that I might do something along this line, I offered to rise up on one elbow and point toward the kitchen. Actually that never happened, I just slept.

I am not the only one to depend on Nick rising first. The paper carrier depends on him too. It throws the poor man off on the rare occasions when I have gotten up first. When Nick gets up first the paper carrier always throws the paper on the arm of my chair where it belongs. But when I get up first the dummy throws it way out at the end of the driveway! This is extremely inconvenient on cold or wet mornings. I was a bit worried about this when Nick got laid off for a while last year. What would the poor paper carrier do? Nick being the good guy that he is still got up before me. The paper carrier was happy, the paper landed on my chair and I was happy too because Nick often had breakfast ready when I got up.

Last night was a wonderful night. Mollie actually got to sleep early we felt comfortable making a bit of noise so the locked briefcase (aka toy chest) came out and there was a small fun spanking followed by some great loving, so great that we neither one had the energy to put away all the toys. No problem, Nick is an early riser and Mollie is a typical teenager and is never awake before 10:00 on a Saturday.

But the bed felt so good this morning, and he felt so good, and he felt me up so good that one thing lead to another and it was a really good morning. But we drifted back to sleep, not late - 8:30, but that's very late for Nick and of course it never occurred to me to get up first. Panic did not ensue until he headed for the shower and I heard him talking to Mollie. I knew if she was up that early she was headed to my room. All I could think of was, 'Keep her talking, honey.' So in a panic I am flipping across the bed, buck naked, throwing toy

in and slamming the lid and twisting the locks. Fast as I could I flipped back, with my butt up in the air as I tried to get the case back under my side of the bed and my butt back under the covers before I had company. I am really not used to gymnastics when I first wake up but it was worth the effort.

Mollie came in for a quick good morning without the trauma of the knowledge that her parent's collection of spanking sex toys were feet away . I taumatize the poor child enough by teaching at her school, this is a trauma she can do without!

I need your advice

I have a slight dilemma and I’m hoping you all, with your incredible wisdom, can help me solve it.  I wrote this post and this post a while back talking about getting together with some friends/acquaintances from high school. While I’d had some true insecurities about meeting with them everything went well.

Months later we got together for lunch and it was less enjoyable.
They reminiscing were about sneaking out of their parent’s home late at night, riding around and drinking. I wasn’t with them for these events. I had enough sense to avoid them even at seventeen-years-old. I think I grew up before they did. So, most of what they talked about at this luncheon was foreign to me and  very boring.

They’re talking about getting together again at the home of one of these ladies later this month. Besides not wanting to sit through boring conversations of the stupid things they did in high school, I
know through FB that at least two of these ladies are so opposite from me in their political views it makes my teeth hurt. I would never bring this topic up to them, but neither would I be able to quietly listen if they did.

My question how do I politely refuse an invitation to this definitely boring and possibly explosive gathering? They are asking in advance for dates we’ll be out of town so they can plan around people’s vacations. I don’t want to alienate these women, but I don’t want to visit with them either.

Suggestions?

Now about my third husband...

In Friday's post, I told you about two of the personalities dwelling within my husband, Nick and Spanky. Today I’ll tell you of the third. I’m not as fond of this one as I am the other two. This one often annoy me.

We’ll call this guy Obie, for oblivious. I'm a spanko. Through and through from birth. I want some realism in TTWD. I crave it.  But none of the three aspects of my sweet husband understands this in the least.

I read carefully on other blogs to see reasons why other husbands spank, not counting sexy or just for the fun
of it spankings. Mostly it seems to be for momentary lack of respect  for their HOH - bossing him around , talking over him, back seat driving, not letting him lead, not listening and being generally snotty.

Well, guys, I don’t do any of those things. No, I’m not a saint it’s just easier for me to go silent, thinking ‘whatever’ rather than to argue. But occasionally I do things that I bet any HOH out here would have me marching straight to the bedroom for a sound spanking. But not Obie. He never even seems to think of it.

My example, Nick has asked me to turn on the pool pump each morning. We need to run in long enough each day to keep the pool clean, but not 24/7. I can’t seem to remember to turn it on. I forgot three days last week. On the third day he asked,  ‘Is the pump on?’ I told him I was so sorry, I’d forgotten again. Each time I’d say ‘I’ll run turn it on right now.’ But by then he’d just give me a slightly annoyed, slightly disappointed look and be halfway down the stairs to do it himself.

I love that he’s not picky and punitive about every little thing, but if I’d been the HOH, it would have gone something like this, after my hiney was bare and bent over the bed.

“I’ve asked you to do something simple and easy to do. I can understand your forgetting one day – but three days in a row? You could have put an alarm on your phone or you could have just remembered I asked you to do it. I’m betting you’re going to remember after this or your backside’s going to wish you had.”

I bet I would have remembered too! Like Ella said in her post the other day when she spoke about the connection ‘between the brain and the bottom.’

But ‘this thing we do’ never once occurred to Obie. I even waited a few days before writing this because he was busy that night. I wondered if he’d think to spank for it later. But no. He never seemed to think about it again.

Some of you might be thinking that I could have pointed this out to him and he would quite possible have spanked. But once again, that would have put me in control. It’s the control I’m trying to lose.

I think I’ve remembered to do it the last few days because I was thinking about writing this post. To the best of my knowledge Nick has never spanked me about anything that really annoyed him. It what makes me know he only views TTWD as a game. When he’s talking about laundry or teasing about little things he’ll spank. But when it’s something like being lazy and forgetful of something important or he’s really mad at me about something, spanking never seems to enter his mind.

I’m not saying I'm anxious to have an angry husband grab me up and spank me, though I would submit. I don't think I'd have to worry for one minute about this happening often with Nick. But I do wish he wouldn’t be so oblivious to legitimate reasons to spank.
