I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Saturday Spankings - Secrets spilled

Welcome back to Saturday Spankings. In today’s snippet from my latest book, Undercurrents on the River, little Christian spills some of his mother’s secrets, landing her in a world of trouble. Realizing that ‘something’ is happening that she’s not catching onto Sophie, fifteen, ask her boyfriend, Ryder, seventeen, to let her in on the secret.

There was a feeling of great relief once Kate and Chris returned to England. The whole Landing seemed to relax, Allie most of all. The family was seated around the fire pit in the backyard after dinner. The temperature suited Cassie perfectly, just cool enough that the fire felt good but not necessary. After nursing River, Allie handed him over to Cassie for their last cuddle of the day.

Ryder and Sophie were entertaining Christian as the adults sat and talked. As Ryan watched his son playing, something caught his attention. What’s that kid doing?

Calling to the child, Ryan asked, “What are you doing with that stick?”

The boy took the small stick from his mouth and answered, “I’m smoking like Mommy.”

Everyone there, except Christian, froze at this statement.

“Come over here, son,” Ryan said.

Cassie stole a quick glance at Allie as the boy ran to his dad. Her face was reddening to an alarming color.

As Christian climbed into his dad’s lap, Ryan asked, “When did you see Mommy smoking?”

“When we play at Oliver’s house. Mommy and his mommy sit in the garage and smoke while we play on the ‘poline,” Christian told him, completely unaware that he was throwing his mother under the bus.

All eyes, including Ryan’s, were on Allie. She had slumped in her chair and had her face hidden behind one hand.

“Don’t pretend to smoke anymore, son. You could fall with the stick in your mouth and hurt yourself. Smoking’s not a good idea anyway. Mommy’s not going to do it anymore either,” he added.

“Okey-dokey,” Christian agreed as he hopped down and ran back to Ryder and Sophie.

Quiet lingered over the adults for another moment. Then standing and holding his hand out to Allie, Ryan said, “Let’s talk.”

Cassie could see the conflict in Allie’s face. She most definitely wanted to get away from the stares of her family but going in with Ryan at the moment was the last thing she wanted to do. Still, without a word she stood and took his hand. Embarrassment seemed to radiate from her.

~~

“What was all that?” Sophie asked as they took their seats on the dock. “I could tell something was happening that I wasn’t getting, but everyone else was.”

Ryder watched her a moment as he sat thinking. “Are you ready to hear the ‘family secret?’” he asked. “You can’t tell anyone that you know. They don’t even realize I know.”

“Okay, this sounds good. Spill.”

“Hmm… where to start?” Ryder paused as he thought. “You remember last summer when my aunt Charlotte got herself in all that trouble? Do you remember what I told you all the family wanted to happen?”

Sophie laughed. “I remember. You said your family wanted your granddad to spank her butt.” Sophie shook her head. “But she was too old for that.”

“Not really,” Ryder answered slowly. “Not in our family, anyway. My family believes in spanking.”

Sophie stared at him without speaking. At last, she said, “The kids, you mean.”

“No, not just the kids,” he told her. “I know for a fact that all my uncles spank their wives. I’ve overheard them talking about it. And I heard Cal spanking Jenny once.”

Sophie started to speak and then stopped. Suddenly her quick mind rushed ahead of the conversation. “Are you saying Ryan took Allie in to spank her for smoking? You’re crazy! None of the women here would ever let that happen! For that matter Allie would never stand for it. What are you talking about?”

Undercurrents on the River (A Cassie’s Family Story)

Book four in the On the River Series

Cassie and Tom are happy being grandparents, not that this distinction is calming Cassie down any. She is still loving her life with Tom and enjoying time with Sue and Annie. Other family members are moving to The Landing, with Drew and Jackson returning. And puppy love seems to have taken hold of Ryder and Sophie. After Ryder shares the ‘family secret’, that all the men on The Landing spank their wives at times, the young people try a little experimenting themselves. Is a third spanking generation in the making?

However, when Cassie falls into a serious depression, none of the extended family  know how to help. She won’t talk to Tom or Sue about the cause and continues to sink deeper and deeper into herself. Cal has a suggestion to help, but Tom is a firm “No” to the idea. Will help come from a very unlikely source?

Cassie’s Space series

These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.

Cal’s Law series

Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.

On the River series

In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!

These books do take you through time as it passes, but please don’t think you have to read them in order. Start anywhere. Just grab one and give it a try. If you are a spanking enthusiast, I know you'll enjoy it.

I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.

Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.

Saturday Spankings - Mother doesn't always know best

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. If you’ve read any of my books you know you’ll find some sexy scenes as well as plenty of spanking scenes, but there is also tons of interaction between friends and family. In today’s snippet from Undercurrents on the River, Allie and her mother, Kate, finally have it out.

“Allie, your dad and I came up with a perfect solution for all your problems. We talked it over last night and I’m excited to tell you about it.”

Looking at her mother suspiciously, Allie replied, “We don’t have any problems. What are you talking about?”

“You know your dad and I still own Mother’s house. We think it would be a perfect place for you to live. You need to get away from your childhood home and any baggage you might have with it. Young families are moving in as Mother’s generation passes on. Her neighborhood is full of young people with children. It would be perfect for you and Ryan and the boys. You need a fresh start and to get away from all these old people around here,” her mother told her. She went on to add, “You realize as these folks get older, you’ll be stuck. Are you ready to take care of six old people as they begin to decline? I tell you, it’s no picnic. You don’t want to be trapped into it by being next door. So what do you think of my idea?” her mother asked.

Allie stared at Kate before saying, “I think you’ve lost your mind. That is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard you say, and I’ve heard you say more dumb things than ever this week.”

“Why, Allie!”

“I don’t know who you are, but you aren’t the woman who raised me. You’ve been mean and rude to my whole family since you got here. You’ve criticized everybody and everything. I’ve had my fill and I won’t listen to anymore.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about, I…”

“Stop,” Allie said, holding up her hand. “Just stop. You have made it plain you don’t like the baby’s name, the color of his bedroom or where Christian sleeps. According to you, I don’t feed them right or at the right time and I put them to bed wrong. You don’t like the careers Ryan and I have chosen. And now you want us to move from our home to get away from old people we may have to care for some day? I think you’ve gone crazy.

“These old people are my family and I deeply love each of them. When they start to fail and need help, I would crawl across broken glass to get to them just like I know they’d do for me. They are always there for the boys too – reading, cuddling, playing and just talking with them, and that includes listening to them. This house, The Landing and all the people on it make this a paradise for us and we’re never leaving.”

“So, you’d crawl across glass for them, but would you come to England to look after me?” Kate asked in a venomous voice.

Allie looked at her mother steadily. “No, I wouldn’t.” She let a second pass before going on. “But I would bring you here, into our home if necessary and look after you the very best I could. But no, I wouldn’t leave my family to go somewhere else to care for you.”

“I knew it! I knew you resented me for caring for Mother. You feel like I abandoned you. But what could I do? She didn’t want to move here. I did the best I could.”

“Mom you are the only one who has a problem with that. When you went to care for Grandmother I was nearly grown. I promise you I don’t resent you for that. I’m glad you were there for her and I’m happy you and Dad went on to England because I know that’s what you both wanted. But don’t come back here once or twice a year and try to cram years of motherly advice and criticism into a week. Because I’m telling you now, we won’t put up with it again.

The two women stared at one another for a moment. Then Kate walked to her bedroom and slammed the door. The noise startled the baby who woke with a howl. Allie picked him up and held him close as they cried together.

Protecting your spouse

I guess right from the time you marry, you know it’s your job to try and protect your spouse. I believe Nick’s job is much easier than mine. I mean I rarely fall from my recliner.

The only warning he’s likely to have to give is, “If you don’t get off the computer, phone or tv you’re going to strain your eyes.” My job tying to protect him is much more difficult.

I feel like he is nearly always in danger at work. He often works alone, the owner and his wife travel often. So he is in this large building, often up on a 12 foot ladder working on something. There are dangerous machines around, chemicals, and just dozens of ways to hurt himself and so often no one there to know if there is an accident. That’s my work worries.

This is the way I picture it.

There are other worries at home – lawn mowers, chain saws, band saws, and any other tools you can think of. I thought I’d gotten him to agree to only go up on the roof when I’m home – making for a faster call to 911 if necessary. But when I told a group of friends about this agreement, he gave them a look that said, ‘That’s what she thinks.” So, who knows.

The other day I fell he was in a reasonable safe place as he headed off to play nine holes of golf. I was wrong. He was finishing up, putting some extra balls in his bag when one got away from him and bounced across the cart path. Institutively Nick leaped to grab it on the first bounce and in doing so leaped right into the path of an oncoming golf cart. It hit him squarely and sent him flying. His hip was bruised from the impact, and he managed to scrape his ankles, knees, elbows and palm as he went sprawling.

Nick’s dad lived to be a hundred. Health wise, Nick could probably do the same if I can just keep him from breaking his neck. My current plan is to keep him wrapped in bubble wrap. If you have any other suggestions please let me know.

Saturday Spankings - Snippet from the new book - Undercurrents on the River

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. Today’s snippet is from my new book Undercurrents on the River. Allie’s parents have arrived unexpectedly to see their new grandchild. From the moment she arrived nearly every word out of her mouth has been a criticism of some kind - don’t drink in front of the kids, I don’t like the baby’s name, don’t touch food until you’ve been sanitized, don’t nurse your child unless you’re in a dark cave… alone! This was the way Cassie heard it and that was in the first half hour of their visit.

After her parents went to bed, Allie came to vent to Cassie and Tom. Cassie gave her excellent advice, but then she needed to do some venting of her own.

Tom went up behind Cassie and put both arms around her. “You handled that beautifully and gave her some sound advice. Hopefully we can just settle down and ride this trip out.”

“Settle down my ass!” Cassie snarled, pulling away from him. “How dare that bitch upset Allie so! How dare she say Christian was spending too much time with me. I’d like to knock her damned head off and if I could find her in a dark alley, I would!”

“Cassie Jane, that’s enough,” Tom snapped.

Cassie whirled around to stare at Tom before what she had done hit her. Her hand flew to her mouth and a soft, “Oh…” escaped. “Now Tom, wait,” she began. “I didn’t mean… It’s just that Kate makes me so mad.”

Tom said nothing, his eyes never leaving Cassie’s. She sighed. That damned bitch, she thought. Now she’s gotten me in trouble.

Cassie knew Tom was upset with her and she knew exactly what he was going to do. Tom had always had a bee in his bonnet about ‘proper lady-like language.’ The first spanking he’d ever given Cassie, before they were even married, had been for this very thing. But over the years he’d relaxed – slightly, until Christian was learning to talk. His first two words were ‘ma-ma’ and ‘no’ but the third recognizable word had been an emphatic ‘damn!’

Most of the family had been out on Cassie’s deck together when he said it and the shocked looks were directed not at Christian, but at Cassie and Sue.

“I didn’t say anything,” Sue insisted.

“Me either,” Cassie agreed. “He could have picked that up anywhere.”

“Right,” Ryan had answered skeptically, giving his mother a squinty-eyed look. “He probably picked it up from Lily or Annie,” he’d said, knowing that they were the least likely culprits on The Landing.

Seeing the angry look on Tom’s face at that time, Cassie had started, “Honey, I didn’t…”

“We’ll discuss this later,” he’d said, ending the conversation for the moment.

That evening before bed, Cassie was over his knee for the hardest spanking she’d had in months. “Your use of bad language is not going to spill over onto that boy,” he’d told her firmly.

“Tom stop!” she’d begged. “I don’t cuss in front of Christian, you know I don’t. But sometimes Steve or Cal might,” she tossed out. Part of her wanted to point out that Allie and Jenny might let a bad word slip, but she didn’t want to get the girls in hot water. She tried to hear what he had to say as he finished with a flourish.

“I’m not going to listen to any more bad language from you. Are you clear on that?”

“Yes honey, yes!” she’d agreed. Anything to get him to stop spanking.

“And one more thing,” he’d continued, “anytime I hear a bad word come out of Christian’s mouth, I’m going to wear you out. Do you understand?”

“That’s not fa…,” she began, then stopped as Tom laid his hand on her bottom. Cassie hushed, figuring she wouldn’t address the unfairness of it until she was back on her feet.

That spanking had been months ago, but now she tried to remember exactly what words she’d used while fussing about Kate. From the look on Tom’s face, she was sure he remembered, verbatim.
