I’m around, I’m lurking and I would like to do some writing
for here too – if I can ever finish with college! Bless Mollie’s heart she is
in final exams, which for her really means writing papers – long papers from 12
to 30 pages. I got a call Sunday afternoon.
“Mom I have two questions for you. First, do you love me?”
“That’s a crappy question,” I told her, “I need to hear the
second one before I answer.”
“Well I have a couple of paper I sure would like you to
proof for me.”
Sigh, of course I said yes. And truly she has improved a
great deal, but I still find a lot to correct and then, being an old math
teacher rather than a language arts teacher there is still many places where
I’m just not sure. Hers may not sound right, but I’m not sure of what is correct.
But I’m her mom and I’ll do what I can.
So I’m writing in a way – but trust me, it’s nothing you
would want to read.
This should be a much easier week at school so I hope to
have time to do a little blogging. My visit with my sister was very productive.
We were brainstorming ideas for better ways to promote my books. She had a
great idea and I’ll be sharing it with you as soon as I get them. If fact some
of you may be able to help me if you’re willing. I’ll be telling you more about
that soon.
It's funny - brother was telling me today Vista Print was the way to go.
ReplyDeleteLOL PK...don't ya love doing homework without the benefit of attending classes and learning anything. Look on the bright side...at least you don't have to take any tests! :D
ReplyDeleteBeen there...done that...this too shall pass. ;)
Hugs and Blessings...

My mom used to stay up until three typing my papers for me - guess I'm paying for my raisin'.
DeleteHi PK, ooh, best wishes to Mollie on her finals. Wonderful of you to proof for her. Glad you had a great and productive time with your sister. Looking forward to hearing more :)
ReplyDeleteHugs
Roz
We know she got an A in math, but nothing else has been posted.
DeleteHeck...I am struggling with 3rd and 4th grade math...what was wrong with the way we learned it??? I am sure there will be many years ahead of paper editing...the math I think I will have to turn over to my hubby (or give you a call). :-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteI only know it the old way myself! There was nothing wrong with that way.
DeleteOh gosh PK, what a responsibility for you, reading Mollie's stuff. Of course we will help, just tell us what you want us to do
ReplyDeletelove Jan,xx
Thanks Jan, you could be a big help. I'm wanting for something in the mail, then I'll tell you all about it.
DeleteOh yes I've been there, and still do it too. Wish I could keep earning college credit!
ReplyDeleteGood luck to Mollie!
We should be earning college credits!
DeletePK,
ReplyDeleteGood luck and best wishes to Mollie for her final exams.
Of course we will help. Look forward to hearing more about the brainstorming.
Love,
Ronnie
xx
Thanks Ronnie, I was definitely going to draft you.
DeleteBest wishes to Mollie for her finals! As for the proof reading, correcting and alternative suggesting - been there, done that!!!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy it while you can, further down the line one tends to look back and wish one's daughter was lots younger, because it then makes one younger too. LOL!!! My little girl will be 35 next week. Good grief how quickly those years have gone!
Many hugs
Ami
PK,
ReplyDeletejust for once I'm glad that I don't have children, I doubt I could help anyone out today with their schoolwork.
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
