I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Paul, David and a new friend

I want to take a minute to update everyone on two of our favorite men. I have been keeping up with both Paul and David and I want to let you know how they are doing.

Paul has been under the weather for a while but he is now recovering from pneumonia. Problems with cataracts have kept Paul from reading and commenting comfortably lately. But his first cataracts surgery is tentatively scheduled in about four weeks. Then the estimate is four to six weeks after that and he will be able to read and comment as much as he likes.

David has had a pretty rough time. After being plagued with headaches for several months he did have a stroke. Since that time the hospital has been working to control his blood pressure, his diabetes and his kidney problems. He was able to leave the ICU several days ago and on Tuesday he was transferred to the rehab side of the hospital. Wednesday he began working with a physical therapist to continue his recovery. It’s been tough and it going to continue to be tough for a while longer for both Mthc and David. But the therapist is very hopeful that they will soon see some real progress.

Okay so they might not be ready to handle the nurse in the picture. but I sure will be happy when they are both well enough to be back here with us.

There is one more friend I what to tell you about. Many of you know YaYa’s Delight from her comments and she has also written for Fantasy Friday. Recently her husband has undergone surgery for colon cancer. Surgery is behind them now but there will probably be chemo in the future they will get more information on this later in the month. Yaya has her hands full worrying about her hubby, as well as tending to three little ones under 8. And I am sure Hubby is worrying about the kids and Yaya in addition to his health concerns. They can use all the prayers they can get right now.

Yes, a big thank you for the update. I hadn't seen Paul's comment anywhere for a little while and was starting to get concerned. Also, Mthc popped onto Aspects with a quick comment last night. I'd been wondering how David was doing but didn't want to bother her for news and was pretty certain you'd let us know how things were going.

Bless you for this lovely one...please pass on my love to Mthc and David, and Paul when you're next in touch.

I haven't had the pleasure of getting to know Yaya but will definitely keep them in my thoughts and prayers too.

    love and hugs xxx

  4. Thank you for updating us. I'm so sorry these three gentlemen have been struggling to regain their health. I think of Paul. and David often, and will now add YaYa's husband to those prayers for health and healing.

  5. PK - I'm glad you updated us on our three friends.

That's the downside of concealing our identities as bloggers and commenters, and something I've often thought about. How do you let everyone know when you are ill or unable to visit blogs? I guess it might be wise for bloggers to leave their logon ID, password and instructions with a significant other to let the blogging community know in case of emergency.

    Hugs,
    Hermione

    Hi PK:
You are such a good cyberneighbor...keeping us all updated. I am glad that Paul is doing better. I wish him all the best with his cataract surgery and can't wait til he is back commenting again. And I am also glad to know that David is on the mend and is no longer in the ICU. I am sorry to hear about Yaya's husband. I will continue to keep all of them in my prayers.
    Take care

Hermione - that is a great idea. It is so upsitting for someone to just disappear. I hope we all have someone that can tell other what is going on.

PK, thanks for the update and I my thoughts are with David and Mthc as well as Paul. I have missed Paul and wondered where he was since he usually pops by my blog.

David and Mthc stay strong and positive and you will make it through. I have had experience in this and it will be a very difficult and demanding time. Patience and love will help.

    Hugs and thoughts.
    Mina
