I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Just a little rant

Okay it is time for a rant, maybe a mini-rant. And it is all Nick’s fault. He has a habit that drives me crazy! He knows it bugs me; he could certainly stop doing it if he was willing, but no, he is not even trying to change! When I was fussing about it today he just grinned and said “If it’s such a big a problem for you why don’t you just blog about it?” Ha! He didn’t think I would do it, but I was sure I could count on your support!

Now I want to say again Nick has more good qualities than you can shake a stick at. He has is a wonderful spanker and a fantastic lover! When it comes to being handy no one could asks for more. He is a good cook that doesn’t seem to mind doing it, he does the laundry and always puts his away (not mine though). He mostly does his own ironing. He paints, fixes things, he has made me some beautiful furniture. Outside he takes care of the lawn, the pool and keeps the cars washed. Not that I don’t do stuff too! You won’t find any dust on my keyboard! And I … humm… well I do lots of stuff too! But this is a rant about his bad habit not me!!

Okay here it is -- don’t you think an intelligent accomplished man of this caliber should be able to open an envelope without tearing it to shreds?? When he opens a letter or a bill or what ever it looks like the dog chewed it opened! It drives me crazy.

Alright there! I’ve outted him! Now help me out here folks! Please let him know that this is unacceptable and that I should not be forced to put up with mangled mail! Thank you for your support!

  1. Mangled Mail? Does he put the envelope in the garbage or does he leave it out? I can understand having pet peeves but mangled mail? You're a hoot! Of course, my pet peeves are no better! And PS is much like your hubby, but he does put my clothes away :-) He also does my Ironing if I really need it (maybe once every other year).....

    Now wait....

    are you KIDDING me?

For crying out loud, Nick... spank her now or else I will do it myself and like I just said on Theresa's... I'm not a switch... but maybe just this once.

  3. All right, PK, now I'm not going to diss your peeve, because God knows, I've gone nuts over trivial things before! I'm just going to ask you - WHY do you feel this way? What is it about the mangled envelope that is abhorrent to you? Once you answer that question, then we'll ask Nick, what is it about the mangled envelope that he likes so much? What does he feel as he RIPS, SHREDS and MANGLES that poor little envelope? Huh?

  4. PK, I have to admire your creativity, but go straight to Dante's blog... don't pass GO, don't collect $200... if you WANT a spanking, just say that you want a spanking...

Sure hope you get one, or two, or three... am doing my best to help things along over at Eva's place.

  5. PK dear, I feel your pain. Sometimes husbands can be so hard to train! I see you have taking on quite a challenge here. I wish you success in bringing about change and solving this dilemma.

  6. it's the y chromosome thing...We just can't help it sometimes but I go along with your evil twin...Nick smack that thing!

  7. Oh gosh I can't help you out on this one. I open mail the same way! Sigh sorry PK!

  8. PK, sister dear, it seems to me that you need a spanking badly.
Afterwards just get the letter opener, you do have letter openers in the U S,and open the mail neatly if it means that much to you.
I'll quite happily give you some Arnica and pillows if needed. WEG
    Warm hugs,

Hang him! lol... too funny. Here we were waiting for the big bomb to drop... and... it's how he opens envelopes! Eva is right, you're begging for a spanking.

  10. Nick asked me tonight if you all had blasted him in the comments. I assured him you had and there is no reason to look for himself!

He leaves them out! Sometimes laying around by themselves sometimes with the bill in them!

It's not my fault he gives me so few faults to choose from! I have to work with what I got!

I don't know what he is feeling when he is opening but if it is something he is keeping it just looks so messy in a file or laying around. My house might be a wreck at times but my pictures are hung straight and my phone cord is not twisted!

Honest it just bugs me. Sometimes a banana is just a banana!

I am glad that someone as wise as you agrees with me (here and at Eva's)

Even those with Y chromosomes can learn.

    Shame on you!!

I used to keep a letter opener by his chair! He never used it!!

    Todd and Suzy,
It's not my fault he has so few flaws to complain about!

  11. Anonymous8:57 PM

i obviously got in on this one late, but it's not really his fault. I open envelopes the same way, and I don't want to - in fact, I get mad every time. THEY JUST FIGHT BACK!

  12. Anon! Bless your heart, maybe I could give lesson!

  13. Sorry PK, but I'm with Nick on this one.

    1. It's too much hassle to find a letter opener.

    2. Who carries a letter opener on the way from the mail box to the house?

    3. Why do the letters have to be sealed with super glue?

    4. Does it really matter what the envelope looks like?

    5. Damn girl, YOUR TOO PICKY!!

  14. I agree with Grace on this one..and my house looks like yours only my pictures aren't straight.

  15. Grace,
The way I see it if I can be perfect why can't he??

As long as the board of health finds out about us I feel pretty safe!

  16. Anonymous5:25 PM

    PK :
Yes, please, a lesson, but no tools!

And perfect?...do you really want to go there...? Very dangerous for us brats ;-)

  17. Oh my Gosh, Elis! I totally feel your pain here. I will never understand my husband's aversion to neatly opening an envelope. But that's not all - after ripping up and crinkling and just generally mangling the envelope, he proceeds to STAPLE it to whatever it's contents were. But wait - there's more - he doesn't just staple it - Noooooo - he staples it on the RIGHT side of the paper and not in the corner but somewhere in the middle - and NOT straight, just willy-nilly wherever the stapler lands. I'm sooo sorry I'm not the only one who has to live with this tragic occurrence but - at the same time, I'm kinda happy that I have company in this woeful land. LOL. ;)

  18. TJ,
Finally someone who understands! I'm afraid your guy sounds worse than mine! I've about got Nick to use a letter opener mostly lately. And I hide the stapler from him!
