Like
so many, many of us out here – I typed the word, I typed “spanking” on the
search line of my computer. At that moment, over six years ago, trumpets
sounded, the heavens opened and a shaft of light hit the screen as My Bottom Smarts came up!
I
had found what I was looking for with My Bottom Smarts and Bonnie. I had no idea
what it was. As far as I knew blogging was something teenagers did on the
computer. I read everything on Bonnie’s site and it was several days before I
even saw the little place at the bottom of each post that said “comments”. So I
clicked on it and was surprised again to realize that this was a back and forth
type of communication with real people. Everyone was talking about a topic that
I had thought about for years!! I had to get in on it!
I could see the comment box. I could see that
there was a place to click so that I could comment anonymously. I knew what it
said but I couldn’t help believe that if I left a comment, even anonymously, my
name, address, age, weight, sexual preferences, and mother’s maiden name would
show up on every computer monitor in the free world along with my picture with
the word ‘pervert’ written across it. Well maybe not every monitor, but at
least my boss, my colleagues, my preacher, my husband and my in-laws (and they
don’t even have a computer). Can you say paranoid? But finally I could stand it
no longer. I left a comment and waited. Two amazing things happened: the sex
police did not show up and Bonnie posted a response to my comment. That was it
I was hooked.
Everything in my life is better because of what
I found. With Bonnie’s help, I’m closer
to my husband, my marriage is better, I’m happier and healthier and even
looking forward to a possible writing career – all because someone out here told
me I was ‘normal’ and that someone was Bonnie.
PK,
ReplyDeleteyep, that's her!
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
Wonderful post PK! Bonnie has been such an inspiration and her helping spirit has touched us all :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Bonnie Appreciation Day!
That's a lovely post PK. We have a lot to thank Bonnie for.
ReplyDeleteLove,

Thank you, PK, and all.
ReplyDeleteI've learned that small gestures don't just add up over time, they multiply. The friends I've had the privilege to meet over the years have spread our message far wider than I alone ever could.
The message is that TTWD is normal, safe, and beneficial. None of us need ever feel alone again.
Thank you for your continuing support.
Hugs,
Bonnie
PK my experience is so close to yours it is scary! You said it all and better!
ReplyDeleteYes, thank-you, Bonnie. My Bottom Smarts was the first website I came to when I searched the internet, typing in that fateful word "spanking" for the first time. Bonnie was the first person I connected with and I am forever grateful. I remember that day...all the excitement and fear of entering a new world unknown to me in anything but my fantasy...and now the gratitude of the sharing and communication to make that fantasy a reality in my true life and the development of friendships like no others. And PK, you were the second person I met out here, and I thank-you,too!!! Hugs, Terpsichore
ReplyDeleteHooray for Bonnie! She gave a start to many of us bloggers and it is truly appreciated.
