Welcome to Saturday Spankings! In today’s snippet from Secrets on the River, things on The Landing have settled down to near normal as they wait on the arrival of Allie’s baby. Annie seems back to her old self as everyone gathers at her house for coffee and muffins.
*Note to readers: I finally, finally have the rights to all my books back! I’m working to get them all back out on Amazon. I finally have all the On the River books ready to go and you’ll find their links below. Please follow my links. I haven’t gotten my old publisher to take the old ones down completely and some are double posted. Just follow my link or be sure the book was published in 2026. Suspicions on the River has a new cover – which I think is beautiful, but the book has not changed. I’ll begin posting snippets from it in a couple of weeks.
Allie had no sooner taken her seat, than she was struggling to rise again. “Just sit!” Lily commanded. “I’ll get whatever you need,” she insisted.
“Great,” Allie agreed. “I need to pee. Have at it Lily. This baby thinks my bladder is a kick ball or something to stand and bounce on.”
“Well, I reckon that’s all on you after all,” Lily told her, laughing. She brought the hot peach muffins to the table and refilled Cassie and Sue’s coffee cups. “You want any more of my delicious green tea?” she asked Annie, before filling her own coffee cup and joining them at the table. Annie wrinkled up her nose at the offer and pushed the sugar to Lily as the rest eagerly reached for a muffin.
Just as Allie came back into the room, Lily seemed to choke. Then she spit the coffee back into her cup and raced to the sink. Turning on the faucet, she took in a gulp of water from her cupped hand and spat it into the sink. She did this twice more before taking another drink and swallowing it. All the ladies watched in wonder.
Straightening up and wiping her mouth, she turned to Cassie and Sue with fury in her eyes. “I’m gonna switch you two myself, see if’n I don’t! When did you even have time to put salt in the sugar bowl? Y’all ain’t never gonna grow up!”
Shaking their heads Cassie and Sue began sputtering, fear in their eyes. They cried out, “We didn’t do it!”
“Lily, I swear it wasn’t us!” Cassie managed to get out. Sue vigorously nodded her agreement.
“Done told you two I ain’t puttin’ up with no more your foolishness. I’ve a mind to call Mr. Tom and Mr. Steve right now. They get y’all fixed!”
“It wasn’t us!” Sue insisted again, quickly looking at Cassie to confirm that she hadn’t done it without including Sue.
“Lily, I promise. It was not us!” Cassie cried.
Lily hesitated a moment, fire still in her eyes. Looking away from Cassie and Sue for the moment, her eyes lighted on Jenny.
“Unh-uh, don’t look at me! I haven’t even been here in days,” Jenny said firmly.
Lily’s eyes went suspiciously to Allie who held up both hands. “I’m innocent.”
Annie could hold back her laughter no longer. “I did it, I did it! I got you and you and you!” she said triumphantly pointing at Lily, Cassie and Sue. “I not only got Lily, but you two look like you’re about to wet your pants!”
Everyone watched Annie in surprise. She was positively gleeful.
Hands on her hips, Lily demanded, “And why you feel the need to ‘get’ me? Miss Annie this ain’t like you.”
“I’m guessing that tasted just as good as this tea! And you were the cause of Andy,” dropping her voice to whisper the ‘s’ word, “spanking me when you pitched a fit and quit talking before Elizabeth’s visit. And I have a million reasons to get Cassie and Sue. This was so much fun! Now sit, I’ll get you a fresh cup and the real sugar,” she told Lily. Lily sank into her seat shaking her head as Annie trotted off to get Lily more coffee.
While she was away from the table, Cassie reached over to grab Annie’s plate with her untouched muffin on it, placing it next to Lily with a raised eyebrow. Lily grinned, then nodded.
Annie set Lily’s coffee and the sugar bowl before her then took her seat. “Where did my muffin go?” she asked in surprise.
“You don’t get none of my muffins,” Lily told her.
“But… but you said the peaches were perfect. Lily, they’re my favorite,” Annie said, giving her a pitiful look. Usually this could get her anything she wanted from Lily. Cassie and Sue had always felt sure that Annie was Lily’s favorite. But it didn’t work this time.
“You done good, kid,” Sue teased. “I’m proud of you.”
“Me too,” Cassie chimed in. “I have no doubt you’re still Lily’s favorite, but at least when you pull stunts like this, it keeps Sue and me in the running.”
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
And, of course, the links -
On the River (book one)
Secrets on the River (book two)
Suspicions on the River (book three)
Family on the River (book five)
Sunset on the River (book six)
I hope to have the Cal's Law series back up soon. And then the books that truly hold my heart - The Cassie Space series not long after.
