I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

I miss you!

I’m here, I’m alive – but it’s EOG week and if you think it’s a tough week for the kids, double that for the teachers! There is so much pressure on the school, the kids and the teachers. I could rant for days on the evils of testing, but I won’t here. I’ll just remember that by the time many of you read this I’ll be well into the very last EOG I’ll ever have to give. I’ll try to keep from singing when we’re finished.

I’ve been clomping around in a boot for three and a half weeks now. The doctor re-x-rayed it Wednesday afternoon and said it was doing great. I’ve gone down from the dreaded boot to a fracture shoe. Much smaller and lighter, but I still may wear the boot to school tomorrow because I’m loving wearing shorts every day.

Still fashionable!

Coming home Wednesday afternoon I told Nick that the doctor said the foot was doing well and I should just be careful not to do any housework, cooking, laundry, or yard work for the next three months. I was swiftly warned about the possible results of lying to one’s husband. Okay, maybe the doctor didn’t say it, but I know it was said in the doctor’s office while I was there.

The stupid laundry got me spanked last week – it wasn’t the first time and the spanking was pretty hard. Nick said, “I’m going to have to do something about this laundry situation.” I’m so happy I didn’t blurt out the first thing that came to mind, which was, “Thank heavens, I thought you were going to make me do something about it!” I don’t think that would have lightened or shortened the spanking any.

School is soon out and I really do hope to be here more. I miss being here. Summer is definitely on the horizon and I can’t wait!

  1. Standardised testing oh yea! We gotta feed the machine. The scientist in me loves the data. The scientist in me wonders whether the narrowing the scope of our kids education is worth it.

    1. My daughter teaches third grade - the worst one for testing. She waste nearly a fifth of her hear on mandatory testing. Time she could be teaching. I just hate all this over testing.

  4. Hi PK, hang in there, you are almost there, and summer is almost upon you :) Of course, that means winter for me :(

So glad to hear your foot is healing well, very fashionable footwear. Good on Nick for sorting the laundry situation. Very wise not to have uttered the words you were thinking lol

  6. Glad the foot's healing well, the shoe is an improvement. How long did you have to leave the laundry before it irritated Nick enough to earn you a spanking?

    1. Nick washes and drys the laundry I just have to put mine away. Now do you think I would ever try to irritate Nick into... yeah, maybe so. About 24 hours.

  8. Congratulations on last EOG! Since you still have a bum foot, I'll do my happy dance for you. Nick's response to the laundry situation had me giggling but your thoughts had me ROFL. Sure do love a smart a$$. ;) Hope your foot continues to heal well. Oh and I'm sure the doctor meant to tell you not to do any housework, cooking, laundry, or yard work for the next three months. LOL

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

  10. Hello, long time reader of your blog, first commenting. I just finished binge reading the first 4 Cassie books and I loved them! So fun and unique. Can you point me towards the blog post where you listed the actors and actresses you'd cast as your book characters? Thank you!

    2. Here's where you can find the cast close to how they appear in my head. I never did get the words to do just right. Let me know what you think about my casting http://elisnewbeginnings.blogspot.com/2016/01/the-cassie-cast.html

  11. PK, so happy for you that your foot is well on the way to healing. Making a fashion statement in the new footwear and pretty nails. Well at least you got spanked, just as well you didn't say all the other things to Nick. LOL! Enjoy your final weeks before your summer break. Winter time here, although this week has been beautiful.
