Welcome to Saturday Spankings. We’re still trying to find out what’s going on with Annie in this snippet from Secrets on the River. Cassie and Sue get the address where she is staying and despite a broken wrist and broken ankle, they left a quick note and head out to help their friend.
When they finally stood in front of Annie door, Cassie took a deep breath and knocked. When there was no answer, she knocked again calling, “Annie, it’s us. Open up.”
When there was still no answer, Sue took over. Pounding with the side of her fist, Sue called, “Open this damn door or when we do get in there I’m going to kick your butt. And I have to pee!” she shouted even louder.
The door opened and Annie stepped back to let them in, her hand flying to her mouth in surprise as they entered. “I forgot! How could I have forgotten that you two are broken? I should never have asked you to come! I’m so sorry.”
Sue wheeled the knee scooter into the bathroom. “You need help?” Cassie asked.
“No, I got it. You just start kicking Annie’s butt. Then I’ll take my turn.”
Cassie grabbed Annie in a tight hug to stop the rest of her protest. “Thank God you’re all right!” she cried. “Don’t worry about us, we’re fine. But you scared the crap out of everyone. What in the world is going on?”
Sue wheeled in and went to hug Annie as well. Then taking a moment to inspect her, she said, “You look like hell!”
“Thanks,” Annie said quietly with the faintest hint of a smile. But Sue was right, and Cassie was worried. How had they missed the extreme weight loss? Her clothes hung on her and her nearly unlined face seemed to sag in a way Cassie had never seen before. Her skin was still so pale and the dark circles under her eyes made it look as though she’d been beaten. Her appearance was shocking.
Cassie and Annie helped Sue settle in a chair with her foot propped on another. Annie continued to apologize. “How could I have forgotten that you two were hurt? I just think of you both as so strong all the time. Can I get you anything?”
“Just stop,” Cassie demanded. “We’re fine and the only thing we need is an explanation.”
“How’s Andy?” she asked, stalling.
“How do you think he is?” Sue asked in a hard voice. “He’s terrified and hurt.” Annie lowered her head as the tears began again. “I’m not trying to make you feel worse,” Sue said in a softer voice, “but you asked and that’s the truth. It’s time Annie. Tell us everything.”
Annie nodded. “I’ve got to tell you, it feels like I’ve carried it alone forever. It’s a long story.”
Cassie sat with Annie on the bed. When Annie didn’t start, she prodded, “Does it look like we’re going anywhere? Tell us.”
Annie took a deep breath and began…
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
And, of course, the links -
