Mollie’s had an active job
search this summer. She has had numerous interviews and after each one she
would tell me the good and bad points of the interview process. In the two
schools she really wanted she said she thought she interviewed well, but the
positions went to others.
Last Thursday morning she had
an interview in the next county. As soon as she got out she called me. “Mom I
really want this one – they were all so nice, they really just talked with me
instead of asking tricky questions. They were just so friendly.”
I did my mother thing saying
that she should have a good chance then and not to worry. So she went on, “But
they have a total of thirty people to interview and you know some of them have
tons of experience and the interviews are going to go on through Monday.” She
headed on to her job and I said a little prayer that they would remember her
and offer her the job.
An hour and a half later they
called and offered her the job! The three teachers she would be working with
along with the principal had conducted the interview and they had all agreed
they wanted Mollie and stopped the interviews. She is thrilled and I’m so
excited for her.
Mollie was in the eighth
grade when I began blogging and now she’s a third grade teacher. The school is
about thirty minutes from our house so she can commute as she looks for her own
place. I think there are some third graders out there that don’t know how lucky
they are about to be.
Oh how wonderful...congratulations Mollie! Thanks for sharing the happy news PK. ;)

You must be so proud, Mom. She is a lovely daughter and you and your husband did a wonderful job of raising her and being role models for her. You deserve a pat on the back -- if not a good spanking.
