I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Blame Eva

I’m working tomorrow and that’s the last of it. I sure am feeling good. I want to spend the summer reading, writing, and losing weight. To accomplish the latter I may have to do something besides the first two activities. We’ll see.

To all of you who remember our dear friend Bas, you’ll remember he was fond of the phrase, “Blame PK.” I’m happy to take the blame/credit for many of the things I’ve had a hand in out here. I’ve bullied encouraged many people to begin blogging. I harassed talked some into taking their writing to another level and we are all the benefactors of that. But there was someone who got me hooked out here. So if we want to get technically correct we may need to change that saying to, “Blame Eva”.

I had just found blogs, I hadn’t been reading a whole month before Eva slipped into my head, read all my thought and published them on her blog – Nothing Random. I commented that she needed to get out of my head, it was becoming entirely too crowded. That began a special friendship.

I met her in my most fearful days – terrified someone in RL would find my blog and ‘out’ me. Because of this our getting to know each other in RL was fairly slow. We eventually got up the nerve to exchange real names, what we did for a living… then a tentative phone call and finally meeting in person and eventually traveling to each other’s home and vacationed together.

Things change over the years. We began by talking, just a sentence or two by email, thirty to fifty times a day and we kept this up for more than five years. Even after she had pretty much stopped blogging. Then it went to a couple of times a day, then a few times a week, finally once ever couple of months. We were never angry with one another, but situations change and maybe there are times when your life takes you in another direction.

I’m happy to say we never stopped talking. And I’ve been delighted that Eva is doing some blogging now. I’d love for her to get the bug again and stay – her honesty and humor cannot be surpassed. But whether she’s here to stay or here for a few posts I wanted to reintroduce her to those who didn’t know her before. And to point out she is really the one to blame, she is the reason New Beginnings came into being and she was even the one to give me the name PK (read about it here). So if you get the chance to go by NothingRandom and say hey and don’t forget to blame Eva.

  1. I went and checked out the blog and once again I am not surprised that you have another fan and a good friend. Takes being a friend to have a friend.

Eva and I found this community at the same time. And for me it was the first time I'm really made a true friend in many years.
