I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Trying to be calm today

* See update at the bottom.

Please send me calm, soothing thoughts today. I was observed Friday – of course we’re observed by our principals and we all know one thing for sure about principals – they do not want to teach school for a living, and quite frankly I don’t think that they could. Yet they come in for twenty minutes at a time and want to tell me I’m doing it wrong.

When the vice principal observed me Friday – the man WROTE in my planning book. No one write in my book but me! So he began by pissing me off. We’ll have our post-conference today (or whenever he gets around to it.) I know exactly what I should do.

1. Keep my mouth shut.
2. Nod at the appropriate time, as if I agree.
3. Keep my mouth shut.
4. When asked specifically, tell him I'll be sure to try all his suggestions.
5. Refrain from going for his throat.
6. Keep my mouth shut.

See, I do know what to do. But I’m not in the mood. I’m in the mood to tell him to kiss my ass and stay the hell out of my room and stay AWAY from my planning book. I want to tell him I know way more about teaching than he does.  I want to tell him a lot of things.

So fingers crossed that I can be a good girl and get through it. If not, maybe I'll have a lot more time to write.

I went by his office when he told me to be there. He was no where around and I never saw him today. This means it will be hanging over my head for who knows how long. Sigh...

  1. Awww PK...crossing my fingers, toes and eyes for you. I know you would like more time to write but wouldn't it be better to leave on your own terms that because of a petty tyrant?

    Hugs and Blessings...

    1. Very true Cat, but sometimes just leaving any way I can looks pretty good.

  2. PK,
perhaps Nick should give you a stress spanking, you don't really want to be dismissed, go when you are ready.
    Don't give him the satisfaction.
    Love and warm hugs,
    Paul.

    1. I don't want to be dismissed, but I'm ready to go. I'd like to go after my bosses with a paddle - but I'd be hitting them around the head.

  6. PK,
Keep calm, most professionals have been there. Everything is in your hands, do not allow anyone to take your peace. You are an awesome writer and I am sure that you are an equally great teacher. Hugs and kisses, Sharon

    1. Sharon,
Thank you feeling support from here really does help. I love writing and I love teaching - I'd be fine if there weren't other adults at school. Thanks for coming by.

Anyway, I encourage you STRONGLY to keep your mouth closed, smile, and nod!!!! lolzzz!

    1. Bob,
You're absolutely right. Anything I say to try to 'defend' myself will sound like whining. Smiling and nodding is the only way and usually I can do it - but some days it's really, really hard.

  10. PK, Sorry your meeting was delayed, I know you would like to be done. I too have been in a position where I was observed and critiqued. Only advice I can give you was passed on to me, and that is you can respect the position without respecting the person. Makes keeping quiet a little more palatable. As much as we would all like to speak our mind, the better choice really is to just smile and nod....then go have a drink with a friend and tell them what you really think!

    Blessings,
    George

    1. Thanks George, I do know speaking my mind will get me no where. I have to just pretend to go along and then close my door and teach the best way I know how.

  11. So he is rude in addition to be a complete a**. Oh well, just picture him sitting there in his underwear while you are having the interview. I'm sure it will give you a better attitude.

  12. PK, I so hope the meeting goes as smoothly as possible for you. Good luck! I was going to say what Sunny did LoL. Take deep breaths and try and focus instead on meeting Sunny later in the week :)

  13. Oh PK I am sorry I am a day late so maybe by now the meeting is over. Over here lots of our teachers are able to take early retirement, especially it seems, when they are at the top of the pay scale. Does that not apply over there? Sometimes it is simply not worth it to get a bit of peace. Good luck, hope you are ok.x

    1. Nope, still no meeting. I'm less stressed, more like - whatever. No early retirement package here or I would surely take it.

  14. Hi, PK, wishing you strength and calmness. Promise yourself a treat for your good behaviour (that works for me). Have fun with Sunny!
    Take care,

  15. Give him hell! If you are union like our teachers are here, saying what is on your mind won't get you fired. Sorry to blast unions, it wasn't intentional.

    1. I live in the South - no union. I do have tenure, but they're trying to take that away too. Won't hurt me, I'll be gone when this goes into effect. But it could be a problem for Mollie in the future.

  16. I recently had a meeting with my boss once removed about something that made me very nervous! I chose the "have nothing to say" route. I let her talk and when she was done, I thanked her and stood to leave. She said, "You have to give me more than that." IT DROVE HER NUTS!!!! BEST 30 MINUTES SAYING NOTHING OF MY LIFE!!!!!! I highly recommend it.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

    1. I have done this and I love it too - hard for me, I tend to be a talker. But you're right, this is definitely the way to go!
