I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Wonderful gifts

Since I’m just barely out of Christmas mode I wanted to show you two of my favorite gifts, both from Nick. I’m not big on jewelry, especially fancy jewelry. I love to see it on other, but it never felt ‘right’ for me. Usually I only wear my wedding band and the occasional necklace. But this year I saw some rings that I really liked and I showed them to Nick.

He got them for me and I now have two beautiful, simple rings baring LJ and Mollie’s real names. I love them and have a feeling I’ll be wearing these for a long time. I’m also on the lookout for a new wedding band, our thirty-fifth wedding anniversary will be later this year so I might see something I'd like.

The second gift Nick got me truly does show that my husband knows me well. What do you think?

Thankfully this doesn’t happen too often. They talk, I just don’t always have the time to write all they’re telling me. Maybe as we all get back to normal I’ll have a little more time. But really, when does that ever happen? At least it’s a fun goal to work toward.

And while I’m showing just a few of the wonderful gifts I got, I don’t want to leave this one out. This came from a dear friend of Cassie’s and I have it on the side table in my writing room. I smile every time I see it.

Different Christmas

As many of you already know, LJ and Collin never made it. We were waiting anxiously to pick them up Friday night. They were supposed to land at 7:30. They called from the airport saying the arrival time had changed to 8:15. We were planning to have ‘Christmas’ when they we finally got them here and we live ninety minutes from the airport. The next text said the time of arrival had been pushed to 11:05. Argggg!

Normally Nick is in bed by nine so I asked him if he was going to be able to stay up and he said sure, Christmas only come once a year. So, if we had to we could be opening presents at two AM. We didn’t care. Now in addition to wanting to come for Christmas and see the families, there was that wedding that they were anxious to get to.

Then around 8:30 we got the word – flight canceled. They were caught up in the chaos at JFK. They were trying to get their bags
back as they were trying to make bus connections. But the bags were in the mass of the hundreds, maybe thousands of bags stacked around. Collin offered to drive through the night, since LJ let his license lapse.  But there were no cars left at JFK to rent and the other places they tried were closed and with great reluctance they gave up and headed home.

The next morning we had our Christmas. Mollie was upset, she really had wanted the boys to be there but we all tried our best to be cheerful. We Facetimes with them and it wasn’t having them home, but it was the best we could do.

Later the next day LJ and Collin both put on their suits and their friends helped them Facetime into the wedding and they got to participate from afar.

It was definitely an unusual Christmas and we really missed the boys but they are going to try to come in a month or two.

Now I’m ready to begin the new year – just a bit late. I hope 2018 will be a wonderful year for everyone.

Birthday spankings are taking longer

I think I liked the concept of a birthday spanking when I was in my thirties – and not getting any, more than I do now that I’m close to doubling those numbers. But it still sweet for Nick to remember.

I survived my second sixtieth birthday just fine! Now Nick not only remembered, he decided to have some fun with it. I was folding my laundry – let’s all take a moment to be amazed by that, when I looked up to see Nick with a variety of implements in his hands. He was calmly placing them around the house. Once he finished he told me I’d need to take a few minutes to make sure I knew where everything was.

He told me once we began I could choose the implement I wanted for each decade. I’d bring him the first one and at the end of ten spanks I’d have thirty seconds to bring him the next one and I’d also lose one article of clothing each time. I was laughing as I scouted out the lay of the land. He had put out some fun ones, some serious ones and a few horrible ones.

I had to think fast – you think about starting out light, but then that would leave some nasty one to deal with once I lost all my clothes.

Here are the ones I chose in order:

1-10

11-20

21-30

31- 40

41-50

51 - 60

For some reason, he didn’t accept the fact that I was sixty again and sixty-one and the one to grow on were with his belt. I told him if I gained any weight it would be due to the one to grow on!

After we moved on to some MFL I began to put the implements away, knowing Mollie would be here soon. He had pulled out more than we would use, so that I would have some good choices. That’s when I hurriedly slipped Sunny’s devil paddle under a blanket before hiding it further back up under the bed. I need to get that  horrible thing winging its way to Ray!

Update on Christmas: The boys were supposed to come in on Thursday, but that nasty storm had other ideas. As I type this they are supposed to arrive around seven thirty Friday (tonight). We shall see. I want to see them, but I also want them safe. I’ll let you know.

The end of a beautiful friendship

I hope you all had the New Year's Eve you wanted - dancing and partying or snuggled in watching the ball drop at Time's Square or sleeping peacefully. I did a combination of the last two and I was just fine with that.

I wanted to have my first post in 2018 have something to do with spanking and Nick obliged.

You all know that Sunny and I, or as Mollie calls her - the Serial Killer, have been friends for several years now. But this friendship may be coming to an ugly end. That is unless she come and takes back the horrible, ass annihilating paddle she ‘gifted’ me with several years ago. Now I’m a girl who likes having her ass warmed, but this paddle doesn’t ‘warm’ an ass – it takes a blow torch to it.

Here it is pictured with other horrible implements -
it's the huge horror in the center.

It all began the day after Christmas. Mollie had gone to a movie with a friend and we had the house to ourselves. Nick picked up a small wooden spatula my sister had given me for Christmas and made a few practice swats. He then told me it was time to address the ‘smart comment’ I put in the notebook where I am supposed to record my weight each week.

It was not a smart-ass comment! It was tried and true advice from my beloved father. Nick said it did not contain the information he was looking for. Instead of the actual numbers I simply put,

If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.

There was definitely nothing nice I could say about my weight, so…

I was accompanied to the bedroom where he asked the dreaded question, where did you hide ‘the’ paddle?

“What paddle?”
“What makes you think I did anything with it?”
“Am I responsible for you misplacing something you’re wanting?
“What happens if we can’t find it?

Sadly, Nick wasn’t buying any of this and the look I got when I ask the final question made me not want to know the answer. So, I scratched around and reached far under the bed to find where I’d hidden it after my birthday spanking – I will be telling you about that soon.

That damn thing hurts! And I have no doubt Sunny could hear me mentally cussing her from across the country. If he keeps using that things she may get to hear it in person via a phone call.

Okay, it’s not really the end of my friendship with Sunny. I love her dearly, but I will be cautious about any of her gifts or spanking implement suggestions from now on. And I suggest you all be equally cautious.

Another view of the paddle in use.
