Welcome to Saturday Spankings! Today we have another snippet from Suspicions on the River. For those of you still reading here, you know not all of my snippets have hot sex or hot spankings in them. I’ve always like know how my characters really feel about the spanking lifestyle for this week and next I’m going to give you a little of that.
While on their girls’ trip Cassie is looking for some excitement. Allie is not pleased with what she comes up with.
“What now?” Annie asked as she reached for the paper. Opening it, she laughed out loud and shook her head. She passed the paper to Allie. Jenny glanced over to see as Lane jumped up to look over their shoulders.
Across the top of the paper in bold print were the words:
Bucket List Skydiving
Tandem jumps daily
Allie put her head back and closed her eyes. No one spoke for a moment. Finally, Allie asked, “Mom, why are you doing this to me?”
“What? I just thought it would be something fun and exciting to do together,” Cassie insisted. “I’m certainly not doing anything to you. I talked to the concierge. She says it’s quite safe.”
“You know damn well Tom will kill you – assuming you live through the jump. And then he’ll come looking for the rest of us. And if he doesn’t kill me, Ryan will. You have the most overprotective husband and son in the world and you want to throw yourself out of a plane. That is insane.”
“Honey, relax,” Cassie began. “Once we’re down safe and sound the boys won’t be all that mad. I just want some excitement for our trip. And it’s not really dangerous. You’re strapped to the instructor.”
“Mom! If it’s so safe and exciting, why don’t you get Tom to go with you?” Looking wildly around the group, Allie begged, “Somebody help me here.”
“Allie’s right, Mom. I’m not totally against the idea. I’d like to do it myself, but let’s talk the guys into it and we can all go together sometime,” Jenny encouraged.
“You all know I’ll never be able to talk Tom into this. There are just some things I have to do if I ever want to experience them.”
“Annie, please,” Allie begged, “tell her she can’t do this.”
“And why would you think Annie would have the right to tell me I can’t do something?” Cassie asked indignantly.
“I am curious about one thing,” Annie stated. “I know you’re looking for excitement, but I’m wondering if, for you, the excitement comes from the skydiving or from Tom eventually finding out?”
“Yes!” Allie almost shouted as she eagerly agreed. “I’d like to know that too.”
Cassie turned to look at Annie, not answering her question. After a minute of silence, Sue spoke up. “If it’s just excitement you’re looking for, I hear that windmill hole on the putt-putt course is a terror.”
Allie suddenly felt her concern turn to anger. Rounding on Sue she shouted, “Why don’t you just stay out of it! We all know if Cassie decided to jump out of the plane without a parachute, you’d be right there linking arms with her. Do you two have a death wish?”
Sue’s eyes blazed with fury, but before she could come back at Allie, Annie said, “I propose we table the conversation for the night. We’ll all sleep on the idea and discuss it over a late breakfast. Let’s all meet in the dining room at nine.”
The younger girls saw this as their chance to escape and they left with muted good-byes.
Suspicions on the River,
Book Three
(a Cassie’s family story)
Cal and Jenny have a nearly idyllic marriage. There are rare trips across his lap for minor problems, but most of those trips are just for fun. Could that be changing? Pat, Cal’s former lover, has moved back to town and she wouldn’t mind giving it another try with Cal. She feels he can’t be serious about this little twit that he married so quickly. Pat feels that once Cal realizes she offers him a better option, he’ll choose her. But soon mysterious things begin happening to Pat. Is someone trying to run her out of town? Could that someone be Jenny?
Cassie and the whole river family try to keep Jenny occupied and out of trouble, but suspicions just go from bad to worse. Both Jenny and Pat want Cal and they’re willing to fight for him. How dirty will this fight get?
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
