Welcome to Saturday Spankings! In today’s snippet from Secrets on the River, Cassie and Sue are bored to tears as they heal from their broken bones. Since neither woman handles boredom well, they’ve been plotting pranks to play on Lily, something their husbands have told them not to do.
Sue’s timing was perfect. Just as Lily took a step toward the kitchen to put her supplies away, the rat shot out toward her feet and all hell broke loose. Lily yelled, but rather than running from the house as she had before, she flung the cleaning supplies far and wide and leaped onto the kitchen island to give another screaming yell.
Impressed with her agility, the ladies watched as Lily continued shouting and pointing down the hall.
“What is it? What is it?” Cassie cried, nearly bursting trying to hold in her laughter. Suddenly she and Sue were just as startled as Lily had been, when all the men burst through the garage door ready to protect their women from whatever evil had invaded.
“What’s going on? Who’s here?” they were yelling.
“What the hell?” Sue hissed to Cassie. “How are they back now?” Both women were caught somewhere between shock and hysterics.
Cassie could take no more. The laughter bubbled up in her and spilled out. Sue, incapable of stopping herself, joined in. They laughed, tears streaming down their cheeks, until they ran out of breath and sat doubled over gasping for air.
The men around the island stood in puzzled silence, until Tom and Ryan came back into the room, rat in hand. Lily screamed and dove for Henry’s arms.
“It’s okay, it’s okay,” Ryan assured her. “It’s fake, see?” He pulled the rubber rat from around the small, motorized toy car.
Lily shuddered watching him. “What…? How…?” She was sputtering. Then they all turned to glare at Cassie and Sue who were still trying desperately to regain their composure.
“We’re sorry, Lily,” Sue managed to gasp out.
“It was just a little joke,” Cassie added between bouts of giggles.
No one else said anything for a long moment. Lily started toward them, then stopped. “Don’t even want to talk to y’all,” she spat out. She turned to Henry before wheeling back around to Cassie and Sue.
Loudly she told them, “You don’t want me here no more, fire me! Don’t need to scare me to death!”
“Come on honey,” Henry said, putting his arm around Lily. “Let’s us go to our place for a while.”
“Lily, don’t go away mad,” Cassie pleaded. “It was just a joke. We were bored! We didn’t mean to upset you. Honest.”
Lily had almost made it to the door when she stopped suddenly. Turning back to the kitchen, she didn’t look at either Cassie or Sue. She went straight to a drawer and drew out the biggest, heaviest, meanest-looking wooden spoon in the kitchen. With a glance toward Tom and Steve, she slapped it down on the kitchen island, before leaving with Henry.
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
And, of course, the links -
