I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Catching up in real life

I haven’t posted anything about me lately. Let’s do a little catching up. Back in January Nick and I decided to redo our back bathroom. I’d only been asking him to do it for the past 42 years and I have learned that I can make any changes I want in the house as long as I don’t mind waiting, and waiting and waiting…

But here you have a before and after. It’s no bigger, but it sure is nicer and I love the new look.

I went on my writing weekend up in the mountains and it was wonderful. On a good day, a really good day I get about a thousand words written. I was in the mountains for three days and got over nine thousand words. I think I may have to move up there to get this book finished. But seriously I believe it will be out before the end of the year.

I’ve had good luck with my plants this year. I love the color of my hibiscus and here are a few cuttings with my beautiful Sophie.

The kids are doing well. Mollie had a great summer. She and her friends took a trip to Florida, she went zip lining with her dad for his birthday (no I didn’t go) and there’s a beautiful lake nearby that does moonlight canoeing during the full moons in the summer. She and her friends did that, Mollie took her paddle board. She just started back to school, but she doesn’t really seem to mind. She really likes teaching.

LJ and Collin are doing well also. They stay very busy but they both seem to like their jobs very much and LJ has even gotten to do a little acting this summer. They got two new kittens back in January and I don’t think they could be any more proud of them it they were human children. I’m always content when my kids are happy.

We had our family reunion last weekend. After weeks of brutal heat, suddenly when we got to the lake house the temps were in the low 70’s and NO humidity. It was sunny and beautiful the whole weekend. One cousin – a world class cook took care of the meals and everyone else brought a dessert. She put all the cakes, cookies, brownies, lemon squares, and rice Krispie treats on the bookshelf. We called it our wall of sugar. Here are a few of her meals.

I guess that pretty much catches you up on things here. Nick and I are healthy and happy, and so are the children. I can’t ask for much more than that.
