I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

I have a question

I have a question and I don’t know if anyone out there can answer it, but if you can I would be most appreciative. Back in the heyday of blogging when I knew everyone one and we all shared readers a good day might have 300 sometimes as high as 400 people came by each day each day. Now days I have an average of maybe 50 or 60 people by. That’s fine, I’m happy for anybody that takes the time to come by to read.

But in the past two to three weeks, I’ve had several days where I’ve hit over a thousand readers. That’s unbelievable. When it’s not over a thousand it’s still usually between 600 to 900. This has happened before for like one day, but this has been several weeks. I love it but, come on folks, I’m not saying anything that interesting! I know in the past that sometimes another blog would mention mine and that would send readers over. Or sometimes ever the use of certain words would spark a rush of people, but that’s not the case either.

For those that are coming from other places - thank you. But if you are being sent from another blog, please tell me who’s blog it is. I’d love to thank them. If anyone knows why the big jump in hits, please let me know. Leave me a comment or email me at pk.corey@yahoo.com and please keep coming by.

  1. Nothing with Blogger makes sense recently. Blogs have been removed, then reappear, some don't populate in feeds, hits or views are all over the place, sometimes seemingly delayed, so...this doesn't help but...no idea. :)

    1. I'm confused too. Safari won't even let me on my blog to update it. I have to go to google chrome. So strange.

    Hi PK,

Well, you know I've been visiting here for years ☺

I have no idea but agree, blogger is all over the place.

  4. Hi PK,

I think with the sudden rise in numbers, it might be an automated bot. If you go to Stats (in Blogger) then choose Last seven days (on the right side), then scroll down to views and click on More about this blog, you'll see where the readers came from. Right now I have 20K coming from SIngapore, so I know that's a bot, not a person.
    I hope this helps.

    Hugs,
    Hermione

    1. I'm sure you're right. But I still don't understand the purpose of the bots. I guess it doesn't really matter but it's just weird.

  5. Hi PK,
Hermione described exactly what is going on. Another tidbit, if you click on More about this blog, you will see the exact list of blogs you're getting the traffic from. And of course, Hermione and Spankedhortic will be the top referrers. When you're under the bot attack, the Other part (no referring blog) is even bigger than usual.

Another indicator are the countries. English speaking countries (USA, UK, Canada in that order) should cover most of the pie. The rest is mostly spam.
    Hope it helps!

    1. Thanks Sore,
It's all a curiosity to me. I just hope some real humans drop by just for the fun of it.
