I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too. We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko. I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us. You must be 18 to view this site.
Welcome to Saturday Spankings. In this final snippet from Cal’s Law, Cal is waiting anxiously to find out Jenny’s decision. His chest is tight realizing what that final outcome will be.
He was so mad at Jenny for lying to him and he was mad at himself for the way he’d left things with her. He should have spanked her ass for the paper crap and then ended the probation and let pretty frat boy lick her wounds. All he’d done was confused her. It didn’t make any difference. He knew he wasn’t a choice she could make. Kyle was her people, he was young, good looking and rich. Kyle was her best, her only choice. Did he even need to know her decision? It would only hurt him more.
But he had to know. “Tell her,” Jake had insisted. Well, he’d told her alright. Cal pulled into a lot half-way down the street where he could see the front of the dorm. He checked his watch again and tried to focus on the traffic passing by – he didn’t want to keep staring at the door. He’d was driving himself crazy. He couldn’t wait. Glancing toward the dorm, he saw Jenny in tears, coming down the sidewalk toward him.
Cal stepped out of the car and Jenny flew into his arms. “I love you,” she sobbed. “Please don’t give up on me.”
Cal took a deep breath. He didn’t want his voice breaking. “It’s alright, Jenny. I won’t ever give up on you no matter who you want to be with. This Kyle kid is probably who you need. I’m too old for you and …”
“Stop it. Kyle’s a boy. He’s a nice boy and I like him. But I fell in love with a man and no boy can compare to him. Can we go home now?”
Cal’s face split into a dazzling grin. “We can, we have a million things to talk about. But Jen, I can’t let this research paper thing go – I’m mad about what you did, you know that don’t you?”
“I knew that when I made my choice. I’m not too happy about it, but I want it done with before we talk about us.”
And if you’re interested in the details of how everything worked out, you’ll have to get the book and read for yourself.
Jenny is the typical rich-kid, sorority girl. Getting good grades isn’t high on her priority list. In fact, that sits well below getting into the secret faction of her sorority. To do that she must pull off a daring bit of mischief.
Cal Bennett is the town sheriff. He’s a relatively young, no-nonsense, kind of guy – with a good heart. He is the moral center of this small town in North Carolina. But when his and Jenny’s paths cross unexpectedly, things get complicated and he questions his morals and his heart.
His plan to save Jenny from herself by enforcing strict discipline seems like a sound one. To both of them. At first. He enacts a touch of martial law and Jenny agrees to learn more than English Lit. Cooking, cleaning and laundry are but a few of her new subjects. Along with time-management, telling the truth and doing homework. Breaking any one in this new set of rules will result in a sound spanking. It all sounds simple enough when she signs on the dotted line of the contract between her and her sheriff.
But, life is messy and she is faced with one tough decision after another. She’s a college student! Shouldn’t life be easier than this? Less complicated? But she is pulled in two directions: her moral, upstanding sheriff leads her down one path, and a cute frat boy leads her down another. In one direction lies maturity, and a future. In the other, the simplicity of being a rich kid in college where Mommy and Daddy pay for everything. Now she must choose: Will she continue to let her parents pay for it all, or will she learn to pay the price for her own actions?
Cassie’s Space series
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
These books do take you through time as it passes, but please don’t think you have to read them in order. Start anywhere. Just grab one and give it a try. If you are a spanking enthusiast, I know you'll enjoy it.
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
Welcome to Saturday Spankings! In the last snippet, Cal was furious that Jenny had bought a term paper and passed it off as her own. In his anger her told Jenny he loved her, but he was no longer going to be her parole officer. She had to decide whether she wanted to be with him or not. He gave her the afternoon to decide if she wanted to stay with him—and get the spanking she deserved or she could have her complete freedom and he wouldn’t bother her again. Both of them had an afternoon of thinking ahead of them.
You’re an ass! Cal thought to himself. Some men use soft music, candlelight and rose petals. But not you, buddy, you practically bite the girl’s head off telling her you love her and then promise her the worst spanking she’s ever had. Yep, they’re gonna write you up in the fucking romance hall of fame.
Cal had come home to shower and change and try to calm down. I should have just left things the way they were, he fumed to himself. At least we were together some of the time. You didn’t have to sound like such a bully. He knew what her choice would be. He had given the pretty little prom queen sorority girl the out she had probably been looking for.
~~
Jenny had to think. She’d been telling herself she loved Cal, but did she really? She knew for sure she wanted to sleep with him. She loved being around him. He made her feel safe and… acknowledged. Her parents had mostly ignored her. Well, when her mother wasn’t screaming at her. Cal seemed to like to talk to her and he paid attention to her—he listened to what she was saying. Did she love him, or did she love the attention he gave her? Was that the same thing?
She’d never had a serious relationship. She’d dated a few guys in high school. She’d even slept with a few. But she had never felt much for them, they were more a way out of the house for the evening. A movie, a dinner, a little sex, it was all just a nice diversion from listening to her mother bitch. But when she’d grown bored, she’d walked away with barely a thought and none of the guys had seemed particularly upset when she’d left. She had a feeling it would probably be the same deal if she went with Kyle.
She knew, without having to give it much thought, it wouldn’t be that way with Cal. If he said he loved her, she knew he was telling her the truth. Was she ready for that kind of intensity?
“But what if I do love him?” she wailed aloud. It was nearly two thirty, she didn’t have long to make up her mind—who the hell could make an important life decision in a few hours?
Jenny was still sitting, her mind spinning, when her phone rang.
“Hey Jenny, it’s Kyle. I’m bored, come keep me company,” he demanded laughing. “It’s pretty outside. Let’s go for a bike ride, or on a hike, or a solid afternoon of lovemaking, or a picnic. Whaddya say?”
Jenny suppressed a sob, “I don’t think I’d be very good company.”
“What happened, what’s wrong?” Kyle asked.
What the hell, Jenny thought, does it matter who knows? “I bought a paper off the internet and got caught. The dean called me in and I nearly got expelled. They’re making me retake the damn course. It’s just a mess and I feel like crap.”
“That sucks. Come on out with me, you’ll feel better. Look I’m sorry you got caught, but everyone buys papers and usually nobody cares. Jenny think, when you graduate and get a job, if you want one, you think they’re going to care what grade you got on one stupid assignment? Shake it off. Life’s short, let’s go out and have some fun.”
Jenny sat silently for a minute. Kyle was right—it just wasn’t that big a deal to most people. Why did Cal have to be such a hard-ass about things like this? The two choices for her afternoon stood in her mind in stark contrast. She could go with Cal and get her ass spanked—hard, and then… well she wasn’t sure what was next. On the other hand, she could go with Kyle and have fun, forget her problems and relax. Seriously, was there really any choice?

Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
Donna Steele’s fiftieth published book releases September 3rd. Donna and I met as members of the Heart of Carolina Romance Writers. Donna is a real dynamo as you can probably guess with 50 books and countless short stories to her name.
When she was told girls can’t write science fiction, she made it her mission to prove the nay-sayers wrong. Donna writes many types of romance from sci-fi, paranormal and contemporary each with strong female characters and the men who have the courage to love them.
Donna Steele has mentored several newbie writers and given them the facts of life discussion for indie authors. Donna is the person you want on your side in a fight or when you’re learning to be a published author. She was the first author I interviewed for my Creekside Café Chats, and she continues to be the first to signup to help whenever one of her girls needs a hand or another pair of eyes. I am thankful to have this fierce woman in my corner and I hope you will check out one of her books. If you need some suggestions, I’ll share my favorites.
Recently Donna and I were talking and she told me the reason she wrote the book Red Shoes was because she’d spent years dealing with Weber-Cockayne Syndrome. Unfamiliar with the syndrome and what this meant for her, I had to do a little research.
Weber-Cockayne is a type of epidermolysis bullosa simplex. It is an inherited genetic disorder that results in blisters on hands and feet especially during extreme temperatures or changes in temperature. Donna said, heat is worse. When the temperature goes from cool to hot, she will probably break out. She is careful about choosing what shoes to wear and cannot wear rubber gloves.
There is no cure for Weber-Cockayne, and treatment focuses mainly on managing the symptoms. “After 71 years of dealing with this, I’ve learned how to manage it.”
While Weber-Cockayne isn’t life-threatening, those who deal with any form of EBS must be hyperaware of infections which can happen if blisters are untreated.
Donna, like many authors uses what is in her own life to enhance or inspire her stories. Knowing Donna, I’d never imagine she was dealing with anything like this. She is a beautiful person with a big heart and a lovely way of telling stories.
Some of my favorite stories have been her Conall Clan Series which Donna said she never expected to write a shifter romance, but this is a fabulous series.
If you like holiday romances, Donna does a different Christmas romance each year. I love holiday romances.
Her Unknown Tasks series combines paranormal romance with fated mates. Each book Brandy and Jason have a job to do, and along the way, they help other couples find their one true love.
Donna isn’t afraid to tackle the difficult subjects, but she does it in a way that makes the reader see the hope and love ever present in her stories.
Several of her books have been standalones but whether you are checking out her sci-fi series or one of her contemporaries, the result is the same, a good story.
I hope you will join me as we celebrate Donna’s 50thbook, Alien Embraces, the long-awaited sequel to Alien Embrace.
Alien Embraces
We met Lori and Mark, and Barry and Megan, but what about the rest of those sent here? Alien Embraces, sequel to Alien Embrace continues the story of the Vestilans sent to Earth to ensure the demise of their planet doesn’t become ours.
Meet Ashley, Ross, Connie and Larry and learn their part in the tale.
Julie was only on campus to have brunch with a friend. This summer was to finish up her dissertation, she wasn’t even lecturing. But she didn’t expect to nearly be knocked over by the most gorgeous engineering professor she’d ever seen. Ross was on campus to try to get his bearings—everything was different, new and appealing, especially the grad student he nearly knocked over.
Phillip was ready to walk out on a job if they didn’t get their act together. He’d already visualized the woman he’d be working with, then she walked out. Nope, not what he expected. Ashley had a new assignment she’d gotten only this morning. She was finally getting used to her new and unfamiliar surroundings but a new twist being thrown in had her scrambling, then she saw him.
Excerpt
Roson opened his eyes slightly wary of moving. He must have arrived. He should be on Terra, or Earth as they called it. His hands shook but he opened his eyes fully and looked around.
He was startled to find himself inside a structure. He shouldn’t have been surprised. He needed to remain hidden and appearing in the middle of a crowded area would have been stupid. His teachers hadn’t been stupid.
The room he stood in was large, larger that his parents’ apartment at first glance. Well, nearly the same size. Had he ever stood in a room this large alone before? No, he was Roson Fourteen Cleman, he’d never seen anything like this place.
He been trained the last two cycles away from his family and everyone else, but the room he’d lived it would fit easily in the corner of this room. It had held his bed, a desk and one chair. This room held a large sofa, three easy chairs, a piece of furniture that had a glass front and held small things he didn’t immediately recognize.
Instead of exploring, he eased himself down on the couch and just sat. He was on a different planet. He was as far away from his family as he could possibly get. That reality was hitting him now. When he’d been recruited, he now realized, he hadn’t fully comprehended that. Excitement at an unheard-of challenge had clouded his thinking, then he’d been studying and hadn’t had the time to contemplate it all. He would never see any of his family again. That was beginning to solidify as real.
Now he was on the planet Earth, trained and ready to help the Terrans protect their planet. It had sounded better in his head when he’d been in that little room. It had been scary then. It was terrifying now.
As far as he knew he was alone. The instructors had hinted that others from Vestila might also be sent, but who and to where? There was no one in his mind. No one. There had been fewer during his studies, due to his isolation, but he’d never been completely alone before.
He’d craved that at one time. He was rethinking it now.
No, he had work to do.
Roson rose from the couch and looked around. This must be a palace of some kind. Did the rulers of Earth have places like this? The colors caught his attention, the couch was a rust color, but pretty and the chairs had that rust as well along with a dark blue. He moved closer to the piece of furniture that had caught his eye. The little things in it were glass, globes, some clear, some with shapes within. As far as he could tell it was completely decorative. There was space here for decorations. Fantastic!
He moved toward the arched opening and saw a table. Six chairs sat around it but it was easily big enough for his whole family, except that the chairs were too large. Another glass fronted piece was in here and it held dishes and trays. Was that silver?
There was another smaller table to the side with a tray on it as well. The next door had no knob, so he pushed, and it swung open. Ross let it swing back toward him and smiled. At home they had no doors, only cloth that separated rooms when privacy was a must, like for his parents’ area of sleep. The rest of them slept together in the other part of their apartment.
Rosson pushed the door again and went through it. The room confused him at first, then it dawned on him. This was for meal preparation. Was there food here? He opened a cabinet but found glasses. Continuing around the room he found dishes in the next cabinet. Why were there dishes in here as well as the other room?
He came to what he realized was a spice cabinet, the aromas stopping him in his tracks for a long moment. His studies had mentioned this, that Terrans changed the taste of their food on occasion for the sheer pleasure of it. He would now have the opportunity to see if that was true.
Another door, smaller was in front of him and he pulled it open. His heart stuttered at the sight. Food. He had thought until this moment that the instructors were exaggerating, if not outright lying. There was food for his family for half a cycle stored in this little room and it wasn’t the calorie cakes. This was food the likes of which he’d only seen on vids or in his studies.
His da and three of his older brothers worked to manufacture the calorie cakes. They would never see bounty such as this. Roson dragged his hand across his face to wipe away the tears. Overwhelmed he shut the door and sank into a chair at a small eating area.
This was so much more than he’d ever imagined. Could he do this? Could he fulfill his mission? The arrogance of his youth had vanished when he’d opened that small door.
He was completely alone for the first time in his life.
Donna Steele, romance author ~ Women strong enough for love.
I write science fiction, paranormal and women’s fiction romance eBooks about women coming into their strength and having the courage to find and accept love.
As an empty nester with my beloved best friend and husband (who actually encourages this mad passion of mine) I write all the time – whether or not I have a pen or keyboard handy.
Ever since I learned to read—from Superman Comics, Dick, Jane and Sally held no appeal—I’ve wanted to write. The possibilities of science fiction have always drawn me and I’ve read them all. There just needed to be a little more romance in them. I finally got up the courage and I’m delighted that I’m able to share these stories with you.
