Welcome to Saturday Spankings. This snippet from Cal’s Law, Jenny is still confused. Her feelings for Cal are strong, but as he works more and more over time she begins to truly wonder if she is just a do-good project for him. After not seeing him for a full week she calls and ask if they can go to the festival together. When he explains his over time is done, but he still has to work all day Saturday, Jenny is pissed. She calls Kyle knowing he’ll definitely be up for a good time.
They did have fun. From the petting zoo to the bouncy house, Kyle had conned the guy in charge into let them in to play. They rode the little train circling the square, posed to have their pictures taken in period costumes and even competed in the three-legged race. They had fallen halfway through and Kyle had taken the opportunity to kiss her as they lay there together. It was nice Jenny thought, but no real spark. Twice she’d seen Cal walking in the crowd. She waved once, but he totally ignored her. Screw him, she thought fiercely and gave her attention back to Kyle.
“You still got the hots for the old guy helping you with your grades?”
“He’s not old, just older than me,” she snapped. “And he’s helped with a lot of things. Just shut up about him.”
“But you’re not sleeping with him. He’s not making you squirm in ecstasy. He’s not causing you to scream out his name as you rake your nails down his back. Just a few of the activities we could be doing a little later if you’d get your mind off this nerdy, bookworm.”
Kyle was standing close whispering these things into Jenny’s ear. Jenny felt herself blushing, but it wasn’t caused by Kyle’s words. She had just spotted Cal walking on the far side of the street. He was staring right into her eyes before he turned and headed into another part of the festival.
Jenny followed his back until he disappeared into the crowd. Kyle was still talking. He’d moved on to another topic. Jenny shook her head and tried to focus on what he was saying.
“I think you’re looking at college all wrong. You were so torn up about missing that exam a while back and you keep griping about a paper you have to write. Look, you’re not here on a scholarship or anything. Your folks are paying this place a buttload of money to teach you – not to make you work yourass off. The way I see it, I’m paying for the information they can teach me in class. I’ll go and I’ll listen. I’m not here to work for them. Screw the papers, they don’t even read them. Same with tests. I pay them to teach – not to waste my time proving I’ve learned it,” Kyle explained.
“And exactly how do you get away with that? I mean you have to jump through their hoops to get a passing grade or you get to take the course again,” Jenny pointed out.
Kyle grinned lazily. “Not really. My dad made a donation pledge to the school on the contingency that I graduate on time with nothing lower than a B. I’m on track to graduate next year.”
“Are you kidding? What a cheat! Why didn’t Daddy just buy you the diploma and you could have spent four years backpacking through Europe?” Jenny could just imagine what Cal would think of this deal.
“I’m not cheating,” Kyle emphasized. “I go to all my classes; I want to learn what they’re teaching about business. I usually take the tests and I do well on them. But I’m not wasting my time on papers and projects. College is supposed to be the best time of your life and I plan to see that it is.”
“Still seems like cheating to me,” Jenny told him seriously.
“That’s because this mentor of yours has your head all screwed up. Listen to me and you’ll have a much better college experience, I promise.”
As dusk fell, they headed back to Kyle’s Porsche to watch the fireworks. Kyle spread a blanket out beside the car and pulled Jenny down to sit with him. “You’re beautiful Jenny, I can’t look at you without wanting to kiss you. If I promise to keep my hands above the waist, can we do a little more exploring?” Kyle asked her, laughing.
Jenny’s eyes scanned the crowd once more. She spotted Cal, he was staring their way. “Sure, exploring might be fun.” As Kyle came in for a kiss, Jenny turned slightly, keeping Cal in her line of sight. Just before Kyle lay her back on the blanket she saw Cal turn and walk in the other direction. She tried to let the pain she felt wash away in the passion of Kyle’s kisses, but the pain didn’t go. It seemed to settle around her heart.
Cal’s Law, Book One
Jenny is the typical rich-kid, sorority girl. Getting good grades isn’t high on her priority list. In fact, that sits well below getting into the secret faction of her sorority. To do that she must pull off a daring bit of mischief.
Cal Bennett is the town sheriff. He’s a relatively young, no-nonsense, kind of guy – with a good heart. He is the moral center of this small town in North Carolina. But when his and Jenny’s paths cross unexpectedly, things get complicated and he questions his morals and his heart.
His plan to save Jenny from herself by enforcing strict discipline seems like a sound one. To both of them. At first. He enacts a touch of martial law and Jenny agrees to learn more than English Lit. Cooking, cleaning and laundry are but a few of her new subjects. Along with time-management, telling the truth and doing homework. Breaking any one in this new set of rules will result in a sound spanking. It all sounds simple enough when she signs on the dotted line of the contract between her and her sheriff.
But, life is messy and she is faced with one tough decision after another. She’s a college student! Shouldn’t life be easier than this? Less complicated? But she is pulled in two directions: her moral, upstanding sheriff leads her down one path, and a cute frat boy leads her down another. In one direction lies maturity, and a future. In the other, the simplicity of being a rich kid in college where Mommy and Daddy pay for everything. Now she must choose: Will she continue to let her parents pay for it all, or will she learn to pay the price for her own actions?
Cassie’s Space series
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.

ReplyDeleteSounds a bit like cheating to me on Kyle's part. He is the fun time guy and tempting and could get Jenny in a lot of trouble, but she knows where her heart lies.

Jenny's nineteen and confused. Kyle is so much fun and Cal is so rigid about some things. Let's just say Cal wouldn't think much of Kyle's ideas about college.
DeleteI feel for Jenny, but trying to rouse Cal through jealousy by allowing Kyle to kiss and keep his hands above her waist is probably not wise. Though I bet Cal is a lot more bothered than she realizes. He's just not willing to show her. Great snippet!
