I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Our Christmas

This has been a wonderful, calm, peaceful Christmas. Actually, we have a bunch of Christmases. The first was with my dad’s family this past Saturday. And the second was with Nick’s family on Christmas Eve. There were about twenty at each gathering. Yet at each party there was food for about forty. To say that there were tons of leftovers would be a huge understatement.

At the first gathering we were the only one’s not staying at the hotel, so we got the leftovers from that gathering and then still more at the next party. We decided there was no need to cook dinner on Christmas day – so I froze the pork roast I’d gotten and the three of us, and we relaxed all day. Although I did make a cherry pie.

We slept in, then fixed a nice breakfast and slowly opened our gifts and spent the day enjoying them. We played some games Mollie got and watched It’s a Wonderful Life. Mollie and I each got a new phone and she spent a lot of time getting everything transferred for us and teaching me how to use all the new features. Thank goodness for a child who knows technology.

Now we have two more Christmases to go. We’re going to my sister’s to celebrate with her family this Saturday and finally, finally my boys are coming from NYC on January 8th and we’ll get to have one more Christmas with them.

I hope each of you had a wonderful holiday season too!

Saturday Spankings - Diagnosis

Welcome to Saturday Spankings! In this snippet from Family on the River, Cassie and Lily got Allie to the doctor. They had worried about her on and off for weeks and she seemed to be getting worse.

Allie laid her head on Cassie’s shoulder as they waited in the doctor’s office. When they were called back Allie nodded when Cassie asked if Lily could come too. Both women knew Lily’s medical knowledge was superior to theirs. Cassie had always thought a lot of her doctor and she was pleased that he was being so kind and gentle with Allie as he questioned her in depth about how she was feeling and how long she’d been feeling ill.

“Okay, we’re going to get some blood work and then I’ll give you something for the nausea. It’ll make you feel a hundred percent better.”

Allie leaned against Cassie as the nurse drew several vials of blood. “Mom, something’s really wrong. I’ve never felt this bad in my life. What if I’m not around to raise my boys?” Allie began crying in earnest.

“Now you stop it! Whatever’s wrong, we’ll fix it. We’ll call in the best specialists from around the world if we need to. Now honey, just relax and let’s see what Richard has to say.” The words were spoken with confidence, but Cassie and Lily exchanged worried looks.

At last Richard returned. His look was serious, but not worried. Seeing Allie’s tears, he told her, “I think I know what this is and though it might take a little while, you’re gonna be fine. Now, medical information is confidential. Why don’t we talk in private? Cassie, if you and Lily will head back to the waiting room, I’ll call you back in a few minutes.” Cassie’s look of complete indignation caused Richard to laugh out loud.

“No, Dr. Bridges, I want them here. I’d tell them the minute we got back together anyway,” Allie insisted.

Richard took a deep breath. “I believe you need to get Ryan to the doctor too,” he began.

“It’s contagious? What about the boys and everyone else on The Landing?” Allie wailed.

“No, it’s not contagious. I just think Ryan needs to make an appointment with his urologist. It seems that his vasectomy has reversed itself. You are pregnant.”

The silence in the room was total for a few moments as Richard made note of the different facial expressions. Lily’s was one of utter shock, Cassie’s was joyous and Allie’s was one of true horror as she burst into tears.

Cassie is busier than ever with her growing number of grandchildren. And she’s delighted to learn another is on the way, though the news comes from a very unexpected source. Spending time with the grands and working at the shelter home she created takes up much of her time. Even with all this, she manages to sneak in time for a girls’ trip. Both the location of the trip and a chance encounter with an old friend cause Tom’s spanking hand to itch.

When a severely beaten woman shows up at the Shelter, she    inadvertently brings Cassie and Sue into a dangerous situation. Will Cassie be around to welcome this new grandchild?

Family on the River continues the heartwarming and often humorous story of Cassie’s life.

Cassie’s Space series

These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.

Cal’s Law series

Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.

On the River series

In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!

These books do take you through time as it passes, but please don’t think you have to read them in order. Start anywhere. Just grab one and give it a try. If you are a spanking enthusiast, I know you'll enjoy it.

I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.

Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.

Good and Bad

It’s that busy time of year. And I’m in the middle of it all. Last week was both very good and very bad. The good part was another Christmas festival where my sister and I got to go and sell our books. It’s always so much fun to go to those. Potential readers are easy to spot. They see books and their eyes light up. Other people see books and their eyes glaze over and I feel they haven’t picked up a book since high school. I really feel sorry for those folks. I tell them my books are about an older couple, because I’m tired of reading about twenty- and thirty-year-olds. And that there is plenty of romance, plenty of comedy, some Fifty Shades of Gray and a ton of strong women’s friendships. A little of everything.

As for the bad stuff. I’m not really ready to talk, or write, about it yet. It hurt me badly and it was all because of my own naivete or stupidity. In the overall problems in the world, it’s really nothing. I mean Nick and I and the kids are just fine. But I’m still hurt and sad.

I haven’t decorated for Christmas yet. Mollie is coming over this weekend for that. I have to leave everything up through the middle of January because that’s when the boys will be here for Christmas. But I’m really looking forward to seeing them. I hope everyone is getting ready for a wonderful holiday season.

Saturday Spankings - What's wrong with Allie?

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. In today’s snippet from Family on the River, Cassie’s worries for Allie are increasing. Allie's near constant nausea and tiredness, at first, had Cassie hoping it was an unplanned pregnancy. But after finding out Ryan had undergone a vasectomy a year earlier, Cassie worries  ramp up.

Everyone turned as they heard yelling coming from outside. “Grandma, Lily! Come quick!” River was running up the deck stairs. “Mama’s on the floor and she can’t get up. Christian told me to come get y’all.”

Lily was out of the house before River made it all the way up onto the deck and Cassie wasn’t far behind. Annie reached for River. “Let’s wait here,” she urged him.

“No!” the boy told her firmly and raced back toward his house. Sue and Annie followed on his heels.

Allie was on the floor of her bathroom. Christian sat with his mother, talking softly to her. Allie had told him she was sick to her stomach and he had helped her sit up to hang over the commode. “Grandma and Lily are coming. You’ll be all right.”

Lily was soon kneeling beside him. As soon as Christian saw them, he began sobbing and grabbed onto his grandmother. “I didn’t know what to do,” he cried.

“Oh honey, you did everything right!” Cassie assured him. “You took care of your mama and sent for help. She’ll be fine now.”

Lily turned to see everyone in the room. “You boys go on outside with Miss Annie and Miss Priss. Me and Missy will look after your mama. She don’t need a whole crowd starin’ at her. Go on now,” she told them gently and reluctantly they left.

Together, Lily and Cassie got Allie up from the floor and dressed. They got her comfortable on the couch and placed a bowl on the floor beside her in the fear she’d be sick again.

“Allie honey, I’m getting you to the doctor today. This just isn’t right.” Cassie told her.

“I know you sick on your stomach, but what else?” Lily wanted to know. “You runnin’ any fever? You achin’ in your bones? Any headaches?”

“No,” she answered. “I’m just sick and so tired. I feel exhausted all the time.”

“Well, whatever it is, it’s past time you went to the doctor. Lily and I are taking you today.”

“Should we go to one of them urgent care places?” Lily asked.

“I’m taking her to Richard.” Cassie spoke of the doctor who had cared for her for more than twenty years. “I’m calling him right now and he’s going to see her!” Once the receptionist realized Cassie wasn’t going to take no for an answer, she made Allie a late afternoon appointment.

Leaving Lily with Allie, Cassie went out to talk with the boys. She hated seeing their faces so drawn and worried. “It’s okay boys, I got your mama an appointment with the doctor this afternoon. We’ll get to the bottom of this and get her well again.”

Both boys were silent until Christian asked in nearly a whisper, “She’s not going to die, is she?”

“Of course not! She’ll be well in no time,” Cassie told him firmly.

“Jacob and Jessie’s mama died,” Christian whispered.

Cassie sat and pulled Christian to her, holding out her other arm to River. “I know. She had cancer, honey, and some cancers are very hard to treat. I think your mama has a stomach bug. We’ll get her to the doctor for some medicine and she’ll be feeling better in no time.” Cassie told them, praying that she was right.
