I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Books for sale!

There is another craft show this weekend and I’ve managed to round up enough books to have a good showing. My sister will be here to spend a couple of nights and we’ll even have time for a little shopping together. I think the show will be good, but probably not as lucrative as the last one. Someone asked me how I described my books to others. It can be a little tough. In our little southern town many of the people walking up ask, “Are they Christian books?”  “Well…” I answer honestly, “they go to church most Sundays, but no, there’s not a strong Christian theme.

When they ask what the books are about, I tell them they are mostly romance, but that I got sick of reading about twenty- or thirty-year old’s and that my romantic couple are in their sixties. That gets their attention because, generally, it’s an older crowd. After that I point out that I have also brought in younger people to interact with my older couples. If they still seem interested, I go on to tell them, “It’s like this sweet older couple meets Fifty Shades of Gray.” So, then they have the twist, and many seem very interested. As I put on my Facebook today, “My books may not be for everyone, but if someone wasn’t reading in this genre the Fifty Shades trilogy wouldn’t have sold nearly forty million copies.”

I haven’t asked Mollie any more questions. I started to ask some stuff when we were on the phone the other day and she got a little snippy so I just stopped. She can tell me or not. I’ve stopped probing for the time being. I have a letter circling in my head that I might email to her if I get it written. I’m half mad and half hurt. But I do know that they’ve been going out for at least eight months and she seems happy. I guess that’s all I really need to know.

Saturday Spankings - Allie's dilemma

Welcome back to Saturday Spanking! I’m putting up snippets from the fourth Cassie book, Cassie’s River Living. In my last Saturday Spanking Cassie was trying to explain the lifestyle to Allie. In this week’s snippet Allie continues the conversation by share a little of what’s going on in her life.

“Cassie, Ryan came to pick me up at work a couple of weeks ago.” Allie had been working as a waitress at one of our local restaurants this summer. “I was standing outside with the girls waiting. Both of them were smoking and when they offered me a cigarette, I just took it. It was no big deal, but Ryan nearly had a fit when he pulled up. He fussed all the way home and when we got out of the car, he popped me on the butt. It was hard. Then he said I need a good spanking and that if he saw me smoking again, he’d give me one.”

Hmm…

She went on. “The next day we talked. That’s when he told me some of what Tom had told him about how it’s the man’s job to protect the women they love. Even from themselves if necessary.”

That was certainly classic Tom.

“So what did you say?” I asked her.

“Not much. I just didn’t know what to say. Cassie, you know I love Ryan, but this is just … I don’t know.”

“Well, I know one thing. You two have to talk about this. I have no opinion of whether this would be something that would be right for your relationship, but it is something you both have to agree on. If you don’t agree, then it would be dead wrong for him to spank you. I know Tom would agree with that too. You and Ryan will have to do a lot of discussing.”

“Do you always agree when Tom spanks you?” I laughed again. The girl is quick.

“Let’s just say I have agreed in theory that Tom is the head of our family and yes, I have consented for him spanking me when he feels it’s necessary. That doesn’t mean I don’t often object and nearly always try to talk him out of it at the time.”

When we got back to the house, I offered to fix lunch for Allie but she had plans later to meet friends. She gave me a hug and said, “Cassie, I’m really glad we talked. I feel a lot better. I love Tom too and I didn’t like the way I was feeling about him last night. I think I understand about you two now, but I’m still not sure what I want to tell Ryan.”

“That’s okay, honey, you don’t have to know what you want to say, you just have to talk to him. Oh, and one more thing,” I told her as she headed toward her house. “If I find out you’ve been smoking again, I might spank you myself. That’s the one vice I managed to stay away from all my life and you better not start. You hear me?”

Allie laughed at me. “Don’t you have to get my permission, too?” she asked.

“No,” I told her. “I’m old and I can get away with anything. You mind me now.” She went into her house laughing and shaking her head at me.

Cassie and Tom are happily settling into River Living. Cassie hoped that this peaceful setting would be enough to keep her out of trouble. But how can she stay out of trouble with Sue living at the river too? Staying out of trouble proves just too difficult.

Cassie is happy that Tom and Ryan are growing so close, but she is concerned about what relationship advice Tom may be giving him. Overheard conversations and statements from Ryan have her worried. Is Tom sharing his thought on adult spanking with Ryan? It seems so and when Cassie realizes that Allie is hearing these thoughts too, she’s worried. Cassie realizes she is going to have to try to explain things more fully. Can Cassie explain this way of life to eighteen-year-old Allie?

Cassie’s Space series

These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.

Cal’s Law series

Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.

On the River series

In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!

These books do take you through time as it passes, but please don’t think you have to read them in order. Start anywhere. Just grab one and give it a try. If you are a spanking enthusiast, I know you'll enjoy it.

I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.

Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.

Children can be so difficult!

Sadly, Mollie has grown tired of my questions. Since she didn’t get my writing gene, I really think it’s that she doesn’t want to write out her answers. But she did throw me a bone. I had asked what he looked like. When she pretty much told me she wasn’t going to respond to my questions, I asked for a picture. Her reply was, “I don’t have a good one.” To which I answered, “That’s fine, I’ll take a bad one.”

A few minutes later I got the picture. The picture of the Viking I put up in my last post was pretty accurate. We had the following text conversation.

Me: Two weeks ago I told Daddy that I thought he looked like. I said I’m guessing red hair and a full beard. I’m impressed with me! Nice looking fella.

Mollie: How in the world would you guess that?

Me: You always said you thought the minister’s son was good looking and that that was your ‘type’ so that was what I was going by.

Mollie: Ah gotcha. Although red hair is not my first choice.

Me: At least he has hair.

She sent me back a thumbs up and laughing/crying emoji.

Then the other night I thought of something else and sent her the following text.

Me: Hey girl. I had a thought. I’m thinking you’ll say no, but a yes might be fun. If you are at all ready for us to meet D would you think of inviting him to the family Christmas party? Don’t have a heart attack yet, just think.

There are lots of people so no one is going to corner him for long, and meeting in a crown might be better than one on one, these aren’t people you see all the time, you can come and leave when you want to, you know #1 cousin is the nicest person around and she will make him feel comfortable AND best of all, Sister won’t be there.

It’s just a thought. If it’s not something you would be interested in now that’s fine too.

Mollie: Probably not…

Me: That’s fine. It was just a thought.

I was thrilled that she didn’t say absolutely not!

I really don’t expect her to invite him, but who knows. We have a few weeks, and the idea might grow on her.

For those of you young parents out there who may be experiencing the terrible two’s – just wait until they hit their 30’s then they get really difficult to deal with.

Saturday Spankings - Explaining to Allie

Blogger hates me and I've known this for some time. And evidently there are NO humans who work there. I can no longer sign into my other two blogs, Cassie's Space or PK Corey's Reading Room. I suppose soon they will block me from this one also. Anyway, I usually post my Saturday Spankings over at the Reading Room but until this is resolved I'll post them here. You can pop over there to see some previous snippets if you like to get you caught up.

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. In this snippet from Cassie’s River Living, Cassie is talking with Allie. Once Cassie realized Ryan had told Allie about Tom spanking her occasionally, Cassie knows she will have to try and explain the lifestyle to Allie.

We sat quietly at first, each waiting I think, for the other to speak. I know I would have been more comfortable if she had just asked me what she wanted to know, but I can only imagine how hard that would have been for her, so I began first.

“Sweetie, I was in bed last night before it dawned on me why you were so upset. Let me give you my best guess.” I took a deep breath and plunged in. “I’m guessing Ryan told you that Tom has been known to spank me on occasion and I think that’s upset you. I realize now that some of your questions, when we were talking about my first husband, were really you fishing for the truth to what Ryan had told you. You feel I wasn’t honest with you. So how’m I doing?”

Bless her heart, she was still so upset and couldn’t even speak without crying so she just nodded.

“Oh Allie, don’t look like that,” I pleaded. “You have to understand that when Tom and I were younger and first married, this was a very common practice. Tom didn’t hurt me and I’m certainly not angry with him. Now I knew full well what he would do if he caught me taking the boat out yesterday. Of course, I didn’t think he’d catch me, but I took the risk with the knowledge he would spank me if he caught me.”

“But, Cassie, that’s just awful. I can’t believe that Tom hits you. That’s not okay! I can’t understand it at all,” she told me, her voice still cracking with emotion.

I bristled at the word ‘hit’, but I let it pass for the moment. “First off,” I began. “I can just imagine the picture you have in your mind of what happened yesterday after you left. Let me change that to a more accurate one. Child, surely you’ve seen all the old ‘I Love Lucy’ shows.”

Allie looked puzzled at the change in conversation, but she nodded.

“Well if you’ll remember there were several shows when Ricky took Lucy over his knee when he was particularly exasperated with her, remember?” Again, Allie nodded. “Well, picture that when you think of Tom spanking me, just an annoyed husband who needs to make sure he has his wife’s full attention.”

I could tell Allie was really thinking. She finally gave me a little smile and said, “That isn’t as bad as the way I was picturing it.”

I smiled at her. Perhaps I was misleading her on the severity of some of the spankings I have received over the years, but that was nothing she needed to know.

“Now, young lady, you said something about Tom ‘hitting’ me. I don’t ever want to hear that from you again. Tom does not ‘hit’ me and never has. I’m sure you’ve seen men yelling at their wife either in real life or on TV. It’s not a pretty sight. My first husband yelled at me. He screamed, cursed and called me ugly, foul names. Many days it went on for hours. Tom never yells at me. But suppose Tom was several houses away when he saw me standing in the road with a car coming. You have to know he’s going to raise his voice to whatever level he needs to give me a warning. So, where he is technically yelling, you still wouldn’t say, Tom yells at his wife.”

Allie nodded and I went on.

“That’s the same difference between hitting and spanking. My first husband hit me. Tom would never, ever do that. He would, and does, spank me occasionally to get my attention and keep me safe. But you have to understand hitting and spanking are two totally different things.”

Super weekend!

I have asked my November questions to Mollie, but no answers so far… yet I still got some new information. More later.

This was such a fun weekend! My sister and I took our books to a local Christmas craft show. We’ve been to a few others over the years and they’re always fun. A good day for me in the past has been selling seven to eight books. For Sister maybe fifteen or so because she usually has some Christmas books. This weekend I sold twenty-seven books, and she sold fifty-eight! If I really wanted to be completive I could say I sold fifty-two because each of the original Cassie series has two full books in them, but either way, I’m thrilled!

We have another show in December, and it will be the last one I can go to. Since Blushing won’t speak to me at all, won’t answer any of my emails and won’t sell me anymore books I’ll have nothing to take. I guess I’ll enjoy it while I can.

But I got a real bonus at this show. One of Mollie’s friends works for the city that hosted the craft show and she helped put it together. This friend stopped by our booth to visit. One of her first comments to me was, “So what do you think of Mollie having a suitor?” I love the way this friend uses vocabulary. I was a little worried because I hadn’t mentioned it to sister. Sister doesn’t keep secrets well. She’ll plan to, but then she says things she thinks are subtle, but they’re NOT! I explain firmly she was to say nothing to anyone until Mollie choses to talk about it.

But back to Mollie’s friend – she had seen a picture!! A couple of weeks ago I had told Nick what I thought this guy looked like, based on the kind of guys I know Mollie finds attractive. I said I pictured him like a Viking, tall, broad chested, red headed with a full beard. According to the friend I nailed it! She said that was exactly what he looked like. I’m dying to see a picture now. I did ask Mollie to describe him in this month’s questions, but again I’ve had no answers. When/if I hear from her I’ll let you know.

This is my guess.
