I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Publix

I'm pretty sure it was my old friend Theresa used to blog about shopping at Publix. When a friend sent me this email about one of their new stores I thought I'd pass it on!

A new Publix supermarket opened in Hudson , Florida .

It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the distant sound of thunder and the smell of fresh rain.

When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the scent of fresh cut hay.

In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks and brats.

In the liquor department, the fresh, clean, crisp smell of tapped Miller Lite.

When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying.

The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread & cookies.

I don't buy toilet paper there anymore.

  1. I'm sure I can't think why....grins. I'm not sure I could shop there at all. All those yummy smells of food and drink would play havoc with an already sometimes tenuous willpower!

    love and hugs xxx

  5. That's such a funny ending. I love the concept, though.

Did you know that there's no such thing as a liquor department in grocery stores in Canada? All you can buy is non-alcoholic beer.

  7. PK, I'm not sure I'd go as far as roasting brats on the BRQ.
Toasting their butts, sure, but charcoal grilling them, surely that's a mite wasteful?
    Thanks for the chuckle girl.
    Love and warm hugs,
    Paul.

You and Ceeci both should have issued hurl alerts today!

Thanks for the invite! For the record, I lurk here regularly!

    Love you!

  9. M:e,
Wouldn't that be awful. I would eat my way through the store.

    Spanky,
That's the way I like to start my day.

    Mina,
You should be smiling anyway - looking forward to spring and summer!

    Ronnie,
Sounds like a plan to me!

    Hermione,
We have 'dry counties' so in one town you can buy beer in a grocery store and in the next town you can't. And sometimes the stores are less than a mile apart.

    FD,
Nick said he thought the same thing. He was wondering if I was going to get to the spatula section and hear smacking sounds!

    Paul,
ROFL! I guess you might be right on this one.

    Theresa,
Yep I think you would like this story. Nice to know you are often here. I miss you but lurk all you like!

Hey PK Funny post, loved your comment Paul! I'm just tossing in my request to see the scene from Animal House when Eric Stratton's talking with Marion Wormer and he holds up a large cucumber and says, "Mines Bigger".

Sorry I couldn't go with the smell thing - too many cloth diaper memories!
