I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Another side of Nick

NOTE: I have nothing for Fantasy Friday this week. I just wanted you to know so that if any of you are polishing a story - polish fast. I sure would like to have one this week if we can!

Something happened at our house New Year Day that I haven’t blogged about yet. It was something I never expected to happen – ever – and it has taken while for me to get my mind around it. Eva was the only one to know when it happened and I found she had had a similar experience.

Nick and I have been married for 24 ½ years. I have known him for nearly 27 years but I had never seen this side of him. I never wanted to. I was in the bedroom when he came in and told me what he was going to do. I was shocked and just shouted “NO”. But he has already made up his mind.

I am still trying to adjust. I will tell you more later.

Alright, sorry – the delay was Nick’s idea and he said I should wait and post it tomorrow! You see how cruel he can be? What was the shocking statement he made to me? Here are the words that stunned me “I’m going to shave my beard.” Now you have to understand, I love his beard! He has had it since 1978. I have NEVER seen him with out it and had no desire to!

Eva told me she was equally shocked when Adam shaved his mustache. She pointed out that men probably grow facial hair and then shave it off for the same reason. They grow it to make themselves look older and then eventually shave it off because they think it does!

Thank heavens Nick left his mustache and goatee. So the side of him (both sides actually) I had never seen was his face. I am still trying to get used to it. It feels strange when I touch his face. It is still catching me off guard when I look over at him. I have given him one warning though in case he thinks he is going any farther. I have never had sex with a man without hair on his face. I don’t plan to start now! Just a little FYI for him!

  1. PK, you really had me worried for a bit.
I had a beard once, but I got tired of beard with everything, Mel was happy when I shaved it off, it was also very scratchy.
    Love and warm hugs,
    Paul.

After being with someone for a long time and only seeing them one way I am sure the change is an adjustment. It would be equally strange for me if my husband all the sudden grew a beard or mustache...though he does grow facial hair easily so chances are I will never have to find out. :-)

  5. I know how you feel, PK. Mine does this with some regularity. I think they do not understand it changes their looks considerably. That's not a bad thing!

My guy looks about 10 years younger when he shaves it off. That's great for him but I'm not sure which look I like best! (hehe) When he has it I call it his "mean look". I guess I like both looks but he usually doesn't warn me when the "mean look" is going to disappear. It freaks me out!

Oh well - its his face and his facial hair so I guess I'll just roll with the changes.

Good post; loved the drama of waiting. LOL

  7. I felt the same way... Dante's mustache went first, long before the hair on his head (he shaved it, it didn't fall out, lol). But I do like it, I think, but I still miss his mustache...

  8. I have experienced hubby dear only once without his mustache. He looked so funny. My constant giggles at him were a huge contributing factor to him growing it back. He looked like such a little boy. I love his mustache. It's there to stay and gets a dousing with "just for men hair color" every now and then.

  9. Mine has gone back and forth with a moustache. It is ok. I remember though that my friends husband cut off his beard and moustache one time and his daughter was about 3. She saw him and was TERRIFIED!!!! She didn't know who this man was who had daddy's voice! It really really freaked her out. It took a while and lots of coaxing on both mom and dads part for her to realize that it really was still dad. I still laugh thinking about it! I tease her now that she is a big nine year old too about it! hehe.. such a mean God Mom...

  10. Paul,
I love the way it feels. I think of it as a tickle!

    David,
So grow it back already!!! Mthc is the one who gets to see your face more than you do so let her chose.

    Terpsichore,
I don't take to change well. As long as he doesn't take any more off I guess I will be alright with it.

    Debbie,
I love it when you come by. I just love a beard on a man. Not a long bushy one. But a short neat one is very sexy!

    Mthc,
I am trying to talk him into it!

    Tig,
I just love that tickle - no matter where he kisses!

    Lori,
I just don't want to look like Nick's mother!

    Carye,
It really bugged Mollie too and she is 15!

I too got a start when I read the opening to this blog post.

My man constantly goes between moustached and clean shaven but it always takes a while to get used to it.

It is odd, he really suits a moustache but I am not keen on kissing him when he has it, of course it doesn't stop me. Yet when he shaves it off I miss it. But he has such a beautiful, kissable mouth I like to be able to see that too.

You'll get used to it hon.

    Hugs
    Mina

  12. First, I got an update on my blog, so you must have fixed your little problem with blogroll.

Second, Bossman has had his mustache since he was in 9th grade! He also has a goatee, but he has only had that a couple of years. I keep begging him to shave it all off, for I would love to see him without the mustache at least ONCE!

    He won't do it!

    Oh well....

You haven't mentioned, is the kissing better with or without?

    HUGS!

  13. Yeah this has happened to me with a few boyfriends and my brother. It is like you are with a stranger....yikes!

You do get used to it though, and when you do you think they are more handsome than ever.

Will is always clean shaven so hopefully I will never have to go through it.

Of course I see him so seldom each time I have to get used to how handsome he is all over again.

PK I think you will be fine. The goatee deal is so stylish and sexy!

    Huggs

  14. Mina,
Thank goodness he hasn't changed around the mouth just the side. I can live with it.

    Grace,
I didn't do anything so I guess it just started working again.

I'll take the kissing anyway I can get it!

    Theresa!
Yep he is still sexy and very kissable.
