I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

I'm dancing as fast as I can

Part of me thinks this next week will never end and part of me doesn’t want it to.  All teachers know the last week is nuts, it’s part of the job.  But incidents last week at school caused a moral crash, many hard feeling and more stress than anyone needs.  We still have testing to get though.  And I can’t get over this cold.

I miss being here – this is my relaxation and stress relief, but there is little time.  Mollie’s home and I love that! But having boxes, crates, and laundry baskets filling the whole house as she transitions from college to camp doesn’t make it more relaxing. We sometime end up storing the over flow in LJ’s room.  But I need to get in there and clean because LJ and Collin are coming home! They will be here Wednesday for a wedding they will both be in next Sunday.  I love seeing my boys, but this isn’t the best time for a nice quiet visit.

I know the school year will end!  The kids are done this Friday. Finally time to stop and enjoy my own children, except Mollie will be leaving Saturday and LJ and Colin fly out Monday. I’ll finally have time and their gone. All is not lost, I’ve gotten to spend some quality time with Mollie and the boys are always in and out when they’re here anyway.

As you can see blogging time is taking a back seat these days, as it should, but I still miss you all. A couple of time in the last few weeks I’ve had some time to write and I wanted to get a story done for Cassie.  But when I had the time she wasn’t ready to tell it.  I wanted/needed to get it done and I started writing.  I swear it was as if Cassie sat down crossed her arms, smiled at me and said, “Fine, write it yourself.”

I proceeded to write two pages that could have been written by an illiterate six year old! I could hear Cassie in my head laughing at me.  Anyway it taught me I can’t do a darn thing there unless she’s ready.  So of course now she is ready and I don’t have time to type it up for her.  And you all thought I was just a little crazy!

Anyway I squeezed out a moment here to tell you I’m alive and well and hoping to get back to reading, writing, and commenting once the school year ends.  Don’t forget me!

  1. As if we could ever forget you! I am glad you have had time with Mollie before she takes off for camp.
That is most important. Just think- the boys being around will distract you from the crazies of the last week of school.
You take care of that cold okay?

    1. Minelle,
The kids around are a good distraction from work, but I think having our empty nest back in a week will be nice too.

I know I'll survive - now I have to decide if I'm going to let my boss do the same! LOL!

  3. Hey PK,

We could never forget you ... silly girl!

Hang in there, you will get through the week ... and then you will have time to breath and maybe be able to write some of the story Cassie is keen to share.

Glad you have time with Mollie before camp and that the boys will also be home.

Take care of yourself and kick that cold in the butt.

    Hugs,
    Roz

  5. Hi PK, :)

Wishing you well as you wind down your school year! Sounds like you could use some lazy days of summer! :) Doesn't it always seem like colds come at the most inconvenient times? Feel better soon!

Oh I hear ya on the kids being home and having stuff everywhere, etc! We have two back from college, and one has already left for his summer job. Then there is our high schooler who is happy to have her sibs home (mostly)! Loving chaos exists once more. By the end of the month out other son will head off as well.

Glad that you were able to spend quality time with Mollie. It's funny but I ran into a mother of one of my boys' friends yesterday. She was telling me how different it seems when her kids come home after having been so independent when off at college. She said she has moments where she loves having them home, and those where she would appreciate it if they'd go off and give her some couple time with her hubby. Said they were everywhere! LOL! Funny- Rob and I can SO relate right now! Enjoy the quick visit with your boys! Hugs!

    1. Katie,
You got this right! Those of us with kids in college know that no matter how much we love them and love seeing them - we quickly get used to having our time alone. Do they seem louder than when they lived at home?

Hold on PK, think how great it will be afterwards when school will end.
    Enjoy your children, Pk.
In my country, we still have 3 weeks left. My kids are really tired of school now...lol..

    1. Mona Lisa,
This is the only year we'll get out this early - usually it's the middle of June. This year has been great, so they won't do it again. We have a ridiculous system here.

  7. Five more days - you can do it. My grandkids go until the middle of June. Enjoy the rest of the time with Mollie and the boys and s*r*w the rest.

People seem to think the beginning of the year is stressful, but that's a piece of cake compared to the end. Here's hoping we all survive!

  14. Glad everything is alright your end. It'll be lovely for you to have the boys at home PK! I remember well, getting our daughter off to various events during the summer, and then all the trunks she took to uni when she went backwards and forwards. It's a right of passage for them isn't it?

I am busy decorating and haven't too much time for the blogs either. Luckily Minelle elbows me into action if I need to respond to something.

You are 'extremely' lucky finishing school now. I don't finish until 19 July! Our last term is manic! The only consolation I have is that I have definitely decided to retire. I want and need to spend more time with Starman, and for us to do things together. I've loved teaching all my life, but now is the time to stop. I've already got other things planned, and will probably be just a busy, but in a different way. Sunny says she recommends retirement. Who am I to argue?!

Hope your cold is better. Summer colds are almost worse than winter ones.

    Hugs

    Ami

    1. Ami,
The boys and Laura are all here and it is nice! Tomorrow's the last day with kids.

This is the earliest we've gotten out in years and we won't next year. I'll explain soon, but this is the longest summer I'll get to have while I teach. I'm happy for you. I have no doubt you'll be busy, but much of the stress should be gone. I believe you'll like tomorrow's FF!
