Sunshine Award

Minelle was kind enough to nominate me for the Sunshine Award. The idea is for bloggers to present the sun-loving flower to other bloggers who “creatively and positively inspire others in the blogosphere.” I can’t think of a better description of Minelle, she is forever kind and supportive to everyone.  I thank her for the nomination and for her friendship.

Favorite Color: Purple – it’s a bright, fun color.  It makes me happy.

Favorite Animal: I worked for a vet for eight years.  I love all kinds of animals, but these days I choose cats as the animal I’m currently willing to have in my home.

Favorite Number: Eight, don’t know why.  I remember liking it always.

Favorite Non-alcoholic Drink: Sundrop, a soft drink most haven’t heard of.

Facebook or Twitter: I like Facebook pretty well, but I’m not hooked on it as I am in blogland.  I enjoy being able to keep up with my kids through it and some old friends.  But I’m usually more of a lurker.  I don’t tweet.

Your Passion: I have more passions than I used to. I have passion for Nick, for our marriage – more now than in the past.  I am passionate in my love for my children, Mollie, LJ and Collin.  I also have a passion for blogging and the friends I’ve made through my blogs.  And lastly I have a passion for writing.  I may publish someday, it may not happen – but I’ll always write.

Giving or getting presents: I’m still a kid at heart and I love getting presents. But when you find that perfect gift for someone you love and you’re able to give it to him or her, that’s the best feeling.

Favorite Day:  Hmm… I love the Christmas season, but as the kids have grown up we don’t always get together on Christmas Day.  So as I think about it I believe the last day of school has to be my favorite day!

Favorite Flowers: I like Hyacinth the very best.  They smell like springtime itself! You just can’t smell them and not smile
