I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Happiness!!

Can you see me grinning?  Do you see me up doing the happy dance?  There are high fives, hugs, kisses and happiness in the PK household these days.

LJ and Colin are getting married!!

I’m so excited! My baby is getting married. I’d had my doubts.  LJ himself had told me he didn’t think he was the marrying type.  Several years ago he had said ‘I’m an individual – I don’t want to be half of anything.’ I told him that I understood and he was not ready to marry.

I told him, ‘That’s fine.  When you feel like you are only half without the other person - that’s when you’ll be ready to get married.’  Over this past year he said he realized he did want to spend the rest of his life with Colin.  No details have been worked out yet.  They are thinking sometime in October or November, maybe.  It will be in New York City for sure – can’t very well do it here in the south.

A brief history for my newer readers, LJ shared with me that he was gay when he was fourteen.  After I got over my fear of AIDS, or that he would be beaten up in school, I was fine.  It was simply the way he was born and I wouldn’t change him for the world! He met Colin when he was sixteen and they have been together ever since, almost eight years now.  Here and here are a couple of posts I’ve written about them over the years.

So if you hear a popping noise and feel a button whizzing by your head, don’t worry, it’s just me!

These guys were so lucky to have found each other so long ago. They've already been together longer that the average first marriage lasts.

I know how you feel, PK my son just married the love of his life and I understand how wonderful it is to be bursting your buttons! It is such a special time in a parent's life to see that their child is ready to commit to another person, and amazing to know that the one they found is so wonderful.
After the wedding, I really felt like we had another child in our family.
