I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

The Stress of Thanksgiving

I know everyone is busy this week and probably won’t have much time to read but I just want everyone to know I feel your pain. I have today off and as I rolled out of bed after sleeping late I was hit with what to do first! Eat breakfast or blog or read the paper? Well I finally got them all done; I really needed a nap. Thank goodness I got all my Thanksgiving shopping done yesterday. I got the paper plates and the little plastic cups for punch for our meal tomorrow! Whew, glad to have that done!!

Now you know that getting ready for the meal isn’t the only stress involved with Thanksgiving, it’s the travel too. We will be traveling to my in-laws tomorrow. It’s a twenty minute drive and that barely give me enough time for a decent nap as Nick drives us there. Please don’t feel sorry for me, I’ll manage. But then you actually have the family to deal with. Okay, I can’t complain here, Nick’s family is a true treasure.

The rest of the weekend is not quite as hectic. The only thing I have to do Friday is to remind Nick he has an appointment for a hair cut at 11:45. I assured him that if I was up by then I would certainly mention it to him. I do hope you guys aren’t as overworked and stressed as I this weekend. Of course after Nick reads this there might be one or two things added to my list of things to accomplish. With a bit of luck I will need to do them all standing up!! A Great Thanksgiving to All!!

  2. Goodness gracious, how ever will you manage? I'm guessing Nick will be more than happy to add to your list of chores and obligations and stressors... of course, if you aren't careful, the meal alone could be enough to guarantee that at next week's weigh-in, he, he, he. But then again, you two can celebrate with showing your thanks for your toys... each and every one of them. And, since Thanksgiving falls on the 23rd, how about 23 whacks with each and every one, including his hands (both), of course?

Hugs and love and thanks for making me think of somehting creative to write!

Happy T-Day, Elis. Don't stress too much. It will be over before you know it. Oh...that's kind of sad isn't it? Enjoy the day.

Yeah Nick~ Spank her. I mean really. It's 5:15 the night before thanksgiving. I worked all day. I've baked 4 pies since I got home. I made the stuffing. Checked to make sure the turkey is adequately thawed (it's not), made a jello salad... and that's just the beginning!!

Spank her, Nick. Or spank me. I don't care. Just spank someone!! (Kidding of course, Adam is the only man to get those honors... and oh, yeah... He's SICK!!) Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Happy, happy Thanksgiving you two!!

    Hugs~

    Happy Thanksgiving.
I feel your pain. I dealt with all the Thanksgiving stuff last month and it was a heck of a lot of work.
Next is Christmas and that's always weeks worth of work ahead..yuck!
Hope you have a good holiday.
    BIG HUGS

  9. Hi, Elis,

Happy Thanksgiving! I feel so sorry for you! You won't have the pleasure of mixing up all that orange goo pumpkin pie filling? You won't get to run your hands through the hot stuffing and poke it up the bird's butt? You won't have to spend twenty minutes cutting meat off the neck for the giblet gravy? You won't have to cover yourself in flour rolling out the bread dough for the third time? Geez what fun is that? lol

    Huggs,
    Reesa
