I’m enjoying this two-day Love our Lurkers extravaganza! If
you didn’t get by to read my post yesterday I hope you’ll read it today. I
really mean all it says. I wanted to add my thought about answering comments.
Its something I’m very passionate about. I can’t guarantee I’ll answer every
comment left here, but I can promise I answer them more that 95% of the
time. If you take the time out of you
day to come by and read what I have to say and then go one step further and
leave me a comment, you better believe I’m going to answer that comment!
And if after reading all these invitation out here if you
are still hesitant to comment on blogs, but you would still like to make some contact,
I would love to have you email me. I’ve been around a long time and I’ve never
broken a confidence yet. So if you want to talk or you have questions I’d love
to hear from you. You can write me at elisspeaks@yahoo.com
Love our Lurkers day – I’ve had the good fortune to be here for all of them. Nine years ago we often talked about how to get people to talk to us and LOL Day is the results of these musings. I remember feeling very self-conscious about commenting in the beginning. To me it seemed that those commenting must have known one another forever, and who wants a stranger butting into your conversations?
Out here no one is a stranger and we want to talk to
everyone – if we didn’t our blogs would be private. We mostly all came here for
the same reason – the idea of spanking intrigued us. We felt a little weird and
strange about it, but we knew it was true. And we also knew – instinctively –
that it was something you NEVER discussed with anyone! That’s why I felt like I’d happily fallen
down the rabbit hole when I found blogs.
Suddenly I was among like-minded people who freely and
openly discussed spanking. The statement, “My husband spanked me last night and
I’m still sore!” was met with congratulations rather than horror. Before blogs
I would eye the wooden spoons in stores and secretively glance over at the
paddleball paddles in the toy section. Now I can not only discuss pervertables
– belts, hair brushes, wooden spoons, slippers, bread boards and the like, but
we can discuss the merits of wood vs leather. My friends (Blondie) make and
sell the best paddles ever and I’ve shopped with on line friends for everything
from floggers to straps.
This is a special community of very special people – our secret desires might be looked down on by the general public, but here if you have an interest in spanking you are already one of us and you belong to the club. If you haven’t commented before please take the time to say hello today. You can stop with hello, or you may decide to blog yourself, either way you are completely welcomed into this community and we’re very, very happy to have you.

Happy LOL day, PK. You know better than anyone that it changed my life when I stopped lurking and started commenting and got to meet wonderful people like you, who "encouraged'' me to start blogging and made it easier by setting up my blog. I can never thank you enough.
ReplyDeleteFD
FD, I think of you often. About how your life has changed by opening up out here. I'm so happy you took that first step.
DeleteYou said it all PK! I started out lurking on your Fantasy Fridays...looked forward to reading every Friday when I got home from work but never commented. Now look at me...ya can't shut me up!!! Happy LOL Days! ;)
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings...
Cat
Yes ma'am, look at you now! Blogging yourself and well loved by all!
DeleteI'm here for the very same reasons!
ReplyDeleteI de-lurked thanks to you. I've never looked back!!
It really is an amazing community. Wouldn't it be wonderful is everyone who came by just said hey.
DeleteHappy LoL Days PK! Lovely post, I was a long time lurker too and am here for the same reasons :)
ReplyDeleteHugs
Roz
Glad to see you here Roz, we all need somewhere where we can be exactly who we are. There is no need to hide our desires here.
DeleteHi PK - I'm new(ish) to your blog - and since I haven't commented yet, I guess I qualify as a lurker, lol. I think you said it all so beautifully in this post - who we are, why we are here, the wonderful sense of belonging & acceptance we have and the special friendships we can make when we take a moment and reach out. Hope you enjoy meeting many other new friends - Happy LOL Day!
ReplyDeletehugs,
Cali
Cali, I love seeing you here. We may not know each others real names or addresses - but in many way we know each other better than the people we see every day.
DeleteHi PK, hope you have a lot of lurkers pop round today, I am betting you have a lot of visitors , especially on Fridays!
ReplyDeletelove Jan,xx
I hope you do too Jan. You and I are so much alike, we really do understand one another.
DeletePK,
ReplyDeleteLovely post.
Not a lurker more like one of the family.
Happy Lurkers Days.
Love,
Ronnie
xx
Definitely family and we have been for years!
DeleteHi PK. I comment so seldom that I think I still qualify as a lurker. I found Blogland by accident (didn't most of us?!) a couple of years ago and it was so good to find a whole bunch of people who don't think being spanked is only for freaks. Hope you get lots of visitors today.
ReplyDeleteRosie x
Thanks Rosie, yep I think we mostly did discover blogs by accident and what a great accident at that!
DeleteHi PK I am new to your blog and love your fantasy Fridays. New to spanking as it took a while to get my husband interested. He is still a bit hesitant but I am loving it. Happy LOL day from Lindy in Australia :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear from you Lindy - I know all about the time it take go get husbands interested. Well, I guess Nick jumped right in at first, but it's definitely been up and down on his interest. I hope I hear from you more.
DeleteLooking over my list of blogs, I checked Rogue at Roguesawakening off and ambled on over to PK. I need a few moments to catch my breath. To be in the presence of one of the original creators of LOL Day was tantamount to be able to come close to the Queen of England. My heart was a-flutter.
ReplyDeleteThe sun was coming up so I no longer needed the night vision goggles I wore to find my way to Rogue's and de-lurk for a surprise visit. That didn't go as planned and I scared her into spilling her wine. The neighbors in PK's community would probably call the police, so I quickly changed (behind a bush but please don't tell my husband) into my sexy black dress and heels. Adding a bit of lipstick and puffing my hair, I was ready.
I calmly walked towards PK's place, New Beginnings. Looking around to make sure I wasn't seen, I pulled the gift out of my bag and left it for her to find. A gift certificate to her cabin in the mountains where she did all her writing and a note that read, "Dear PK. I hope you enjoy the 9th LOL Day! Love a lurker."
Time for a giggle, grin and maybe a reflection over at Cat's. I walked off with a saucy giggle in my step.
ROFLMAO! I love this comment. I certainly home you curtsied and kissed the screen before you commented! I love the sexy black dress and I sure would like to hit that cabin for a little writing! Now I might need your hubby's email address. SOMEONE needs to tell him about you changing outside in the bushes!
DeleteHi PK.....It is thanks to you that i joined this wonderful world of bloggers....and you have encouraged many others. I have been so excited for you to publish your beloved Cassie books. Been lax in commenting lately, but I do always visit.
ReplyDeletehugs abby
Abby, I think you and I are in the same place - reading regularly but not always commenting. We can work to do better.
DeleteYou are so right! It was amazing to find this community and be able to just join in. Happy LOL Day!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm glad you are here! Please come by more often!
DeleteHappy lol day PK! I always enjoy your blog
ReplyDelete- a loyal lurker
Thank you, please come by any time.
DeleteI don't think I've missed a post yet... :-) Have a fun day celebrating! Hugs
ReplyDeleteWe've been friends a long time Terps - always love seeing you here.
DeleteHi PK. I'm here because of you. It would be interesting to take a poll to find out how many of us are your doing.
ReplyDeleteA lurker no more.
Leigh/Sunny, I treasure you friendship. There are few bloggers I'm willing to fly to see (I really don't like flying!). No matter how you got here, I'm really glad you are!
DeleteThanks for what you do PK. Jon
ReplyDeleteThanks Jon, I appreciate you coming by.
DeleteHi PK,
ReplyDeleteWonderful post! :0) Happy LOL day to you...
Hugs,
Irish Lucky
Glad to see you here Irish!
DeleteHi PK,
ReplyDeleteWow! All of them! That's got to be a record.
Hugs,
Hermione
I could be wrong but I think the only one here for all 9 are Grace, Bonnie and me. Well Cassie too, but maybe she doesn't exactly count.
DeleteHi PK, well here I am, my first Lurker comment - guided by you!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your blogs, stories and of course the books.. I will now come out of my Lurker cave a leave a few more comments on the other sites I regularly read and love.
Anon! Good for you! I promise it gets less and less scary the more people you feel you know.
DeleteHi PK,
ReplyDeleteHappy L9L Day! We have "spoken" once before and I still lurk here and on Cassie's blog. So, "hi" again!
R.
R, I'm really happy you came by to say hey. And I adore anyone who visits Cassie!
DeleteHi PK,
ReplyDeleteDon't know what to add to the above comments except thank you for your wonderful blog. Hope your LOL day is filled with Peace and Happyness
Thank you Don, it's a happy day in blogland.
DeleteHello, I guess I do qualify as a lurker, but as an older not to tech savvy man I am uncomfortable with commenting. I of course go to almost all of the spanking sights and I do not usually comment because I feel uncomfortable in doing so. Part of it is also about being rather introverted as well. I hope you all understand.
ReplyDeleteBarkleygh, you continue doing whatever you are comfortable with. You are welcome no matter what, but we would still really enjoy hearing from you. We don't have many men reading and I for one would really like to know your thoughts. Think about it. You might chose a blog or two and comment, if it makes you uncomfortable stop - but you might find you really like it. I hope you'll keep reading no matter what.
DeleteHappy LOL day PK from another one of your fans
ReplyDeleteThank you Janey, I love having you here.
DeletePK,
ReplyDeleteI have missed your comments and wondered why you went silent on my blog. I am glad you commented. How is Cassie?
Mererdith
Meredith, I've been quieter than I should be several places. Thanks for asking about Cassie - she's great and ready with another book!
DeleteWell said, PK! Blogs have made me feel so much more comfortable with my spanking interests.
ReplyDeleteEL,I knew my spanking interest would never go away. I'm just so glad I found the community in blogland that made me feel normal. I'm glad you have felt the same.
DeleteHi PK, I have enjoyed lurking on your blog for weeks. Thanks for helping me realize that I am not alone in my fantasies.
ReplyDeletePittsburgh Pam
Pam, you're right - none of us are alone! I'm still surprised at how 'normal' our 'strangeness' is. I hope you'll come by often.
DeleteHi PK --- decided this LOL Day to stop by all of my favorite bloggers to let them know how much I have enjoyed reading their blogs. And, of course, you are on the list. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteLurker/USA/OH
Lurker/USA/OH, Thank you for including me in your reading. I appreciate you coming by today.
DeleteHappy LOL Day to you, PK!! Well, you know how grateful I am to have you for a friend! I love reading here, and I loved meeting you even more! I look forward to the next time!
ReplyDeleteI am on a quest to catch up with everyone! I want to hear more about all the spanky activities that you and Nick have had lately! HURRAY!!! Does that spatula get a work out? LOL! Many hugs,
<3 Katie
I did love meeting you too! Yes there is a substantial spanking every Friday, the spatula hasn't come out yet and I'm not sure I'm going to remind him just yet.
DeleteHappy LOL Day. I hope this comment doesn't disappear. A few times I've commented but it doesn't show up. I enjoy your blog and read it all the time.
ReplyDeleteKaki, thank for keeping on until this showed up. That happens to me sometimes. If I write a comment and I'm not signed in it disappears when I do sign in. Frustrating!! Please keep trying, I love hearing from you.
DeleteHugs sorry I haven't said much. Your blogs gr8. Have been busy. I like lol day :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting, glad you like the blog and please come by any time you feel like.
DeleteStill here and reading :) There have been a lot of blogs that have come and gone or have gone private, but still come by for Fantasy Friday and to see what happened to Cassie.
ReplyDeleteAnon, thank you. I'll admit Fantasy Friday is struggling with few stories coming in, but Cassie is going strong! Book five coming soon.
DeletePK, you're an inspiration! Lookit, you gave us Bas! Oh, I miss him. Thank you, dear, for ALL the support and heart you give us. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd I never miss a post... Happy LOL Day!
Dear Bas, we were so very lucky to have him. What a sweet gentle soul. Thanks Rogue, I never, ever thought I'd be blogging over eight year after I first found Bonnie, but I still enjoy it.
DeleteHappy LOL Day PK! Not a lurker but surely a fan♥
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, come by anything.
DeleteI'm exhausted just scrolling to the bottom of all your comments - which proves what an asset you are to Blogland, PK! So glad we met! So glad I de-lurked! What would we all do without each other?!
ReplyDeleteHappy second LOL Day!
Hugs
Ami
Bless your heart! I would be lost without this community.
DeleteDear PK,
ReplyDeleteThank you for giving me the opportunity to be a lurker. I like your stories very much, but you know that already.
appy
Thanks Appy, it sure makes me feel good to hear that.
DeleteCongrats on 9.LOL day, PK.
ReplyDeleteTake care,
Mona Lisa
Thanks Mona!
DeletePK, hello and happy LOL day.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy your blog and everything you have to say about this community is so true.
Ami has been mentoring me with a story I wrote and as soon as I can make the last changes to the final draft, I will send it to you. I never realized how time consuming writing can be! However, even though it is a lot of work I find writing to be most cathartic.
Hugs and blessings,
George
George that is wonderful! Writing does take a lot of time, but I really love it. I'm looking forward to reading your story!
DeleteI'm late, but wanted to say hello. I always read here and have been enjoying your books. Happy LOL Day!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcomed anytime! I'm so glad you like the books - #5 was just accepted. It should be our in a month or two.
DeleteI've been here to read, but yes I did wonder how do I jump in when you all know each other already. I even tried a blog but that feels strange too. Guess you just take a leap of faith and say hi PK, clara (sorry I'm so late)
ReplyDeleteI don't mind you being late one bit, I'm just glad you stopped by. Just remember, we all left our first comment sometime and we all felt we were interrupting. You're NOT! Please pop in whenever you see something that interest you. If you want to give blogging another try let me know. I can leave your information on my site and send a few folks over.
DeleteLate too, but want to say hi! Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteStill glad you came by!
