I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Holding my breath

Quick post today – busy time for me. Nick was gone this weekend golfing. Mollie came Saturday for her week off and later today we’re heading out to visit some family near the coast. It’s a quick trip and we’ll be home Tuesday. That’s when the real work starts, that mad dash to get the house ready for our family reunion.  You all know how much I love cooking and cleaning.

After the reunion next weekend about eight of the cousins pack up and head on to another cousin’s lake house for a few more days.  As I said, busy time, fun, but busy. Cassie’s been talking to me so I’ve tried to get some writing ahead.

And speaking of Cassie, both my kids know the book is coming out in December, but neither of them have read any Cassie stories. To the best of my of my knowledge neither of them have any idea that there is a spanking theme. Even without reading it they have both said that they’re proud of me.  I told them both that I’d like them to read it. Especially if they are going to tell any of their friends that mom wrote a book.

LJ said he’d be happy to read it provided it wasn’t an autobiography. I assured him it wasn’t and that he’s be able to tell that in the first few pages, but I haven’t sent him anything. Mollie said she wants to read it. She’s had the chance to read some Cassie stories before, but didn’t (as far as I know). She asked specifically again and I printed off the first three chapters and handed them to her about an hour ago. I assume she’ll read them, I don’t know if she will say anything to me about it or not, but I feel she will eventually.

I’ll let you know what she says, I let you guys know everything.

    1. Paul,
I really do know my kids. They will love and respect me even if they think I'm strange. I could be so brave if I didn't have such great kids.

    1. Roz,
This book is so important to me, it's such a big part of my life and what I spend my time thinking about I realized that since they are adults they need to be in on the secret.

    1. Minelle,
Well I've been writing for over 7 years. You can see I didn't jump right into telling them. But I'm enjoying it more and more.

    1. Sunny,
I think if Mollie were living several states away with her husband and kids I might not have had the need to tell her right now, but we talk several times a day and the book is something I want to discuss.

PK, what should you do, if Mollie will get a shock and feel that it is incredibly embarrassing all this "spanking stuff, and comes with lots of questions, if you , her mom and her dad "DO IT"?
I do not think she will, but have you thought through it and you do you a have Plan B for : "What if ...."

    1. Mona,
The thing about Mollie (I can't say if it's good or bad) is that if she has these questions in her head she would never ask them, at least not until she mulls them over in her head a while.

But should she ask if we 'do it' I'll laugh and say 'yeah, and I giggle every time he walks by and pops my butt.'

  10. Hi PK, :)

I think that it is neat and interesting that you have discussed this with your kids. I think that they will be proud of you for writing. Period. I think given the whole 50 Shades era, young adults and even adults are much more accepting of these kinds of topics.

Our kids, it seems have heard a slap or two. My older daughter has read 50 shades. We have discussed it and have an open dialogue about sexuality, trust, expectations of how a woman should be treated- all those things that are important to know. More recently, and it was in Minelle's comments that I wrote about how the younger one slapped her leg laughing and asked her older sister if she heard anything like that. I told them that sure, we do a little spanking, and it's fun and it is only because we have been together so long and have trust and love. That's all they need to know and now Rob and I will be a bit more careful, though the random swats continue! It was all very matter of fact. The other day my older daughter wanted me to fund her activity. I knew Rob would not be thrilled and told her so. She said to me, "Mom, you could let dad give you some spanky fun"! Oh brother...

This is open and honest and that's always a good thing, PK. I look forward to seeing how it went for you. In general I think we know our kids and adjust accordingly. Hugs to you!
