I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

More Sex... I mean Mo-sex

There was more to our New York trip than that a wonderful wedding. We also found time to go to the Museum of Sex, or Mo-sex as it’s often called. Mollie headed off shopping with her cousin and Nick and I, along with my sister and BIL, headed to the museum.

First off, we were greeted by this sign.

Although it was interesting, I was mostly disappointed. The first floor was mostly porn, not really to my taste. The second floor was devoted to Linda Lovelace who did the movie Deep Throat.  And the top floor was devoted to the sex life of animals, again interesting, but not exactly what I went for. These exhibits change frequently, but I did find one room that had had a few pictures that I did like and I thought you might want to see them.

Ha, we all know we aren’t alone in our desires!

Before we left I wanted to use the rest room – perhaps not the best idea I’d ever had. I headed down stairs by myself. Hmmm… very dungeon-like and here are a few shots I took down there.

All and all, I’m glad we went, but I don’t know if I’d go back.  I did get a few good pictures though.

  1. Thanks for sharing PK...looks like they omitted a goodly portion of 'sex' and sheesh...does a whole floor need to be dedicated to Linda Lovelace? Especially when she has gone on record saying that she was 'forced' to do Deep Throat and other porn flicks and did not want to be associated with them.

Maybe you just hit a bad rotation...still fun to see. ;)

    Hugs and Blessings...

    1. Cat, I don't know if the Linda Lovelace was a temporary exhibit or not. It was fun looking around, but it could have been sooo much better.

    1. Fondles,
My son was the one who told me about it. Not sure what that says about me or him, but I'm always opened for new experiences.

  3. For a sex museum... it didn't look very sexy.
Those pictures - a definite shade of purple on the butt.
I think such a museum was bound to be disappointing. The Linda Lovelace part seems to be a bit dated.
    thanks for sharing the pictures.

    1. DF,
I agree completely. I was hoping to see some history, like many of the pictures Ronnie finds for us. They should put her in charge.

I've seen better sex pictures in the Natural Science Museum. LOL.
    Love and warm hugs,

  5. It sounds like they have changed the museum quite a bit since I was there. The animal exhibit used to be on the first floor and there was no lLinda Lovelace exhibit when I was there. I don't think it is quite appropriate to feature her. I thought the 100-year-old porn films were interesting. It seems like as soon as film was developed, porn was one of the first topics.

    1. FD,
I would have liked to see the 100 year old porn, historical sex toys… come on we know they had them. I wonder how often the exhibits change?

Maybe we could start a traveling one! I know I have some good ideas for exhibit and if we got our friends out here to help it would be great!

  7. Yes, I am not sure I would have wanted to venture to that dungeon looking ladies room by myself... Oh well, sorry it was not all you expected...I guess they cannot cover everything - but still...

    1. Terps,
I was hesitant, but in NYC you don't pass up a chance to go to the bathroom. All that walking and few public restrooms.

  8. Not sure I would have ventured downstairs by myself, nevermind using the facilities. Although it is NYC and lots of places look that way, it is old. Sorry the museum was a disappointment. Remind me to tell you about a LL story sometime.

It was a little creepy, but the bathroom looked clean anyway. Tell, tell, I always want to hear your stories.

What a great question! I think I'll blog the whole answer, but my sister was the one who said, "Aren't you going to take pictures for your friends?"

There was an attendant in ever room, I think that that's what they were watching for.
