I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

What I did on my spring break

I’ve had a wonderful week off.  I’ve got to spend time reading, writing, shopping and being lazy. Nick and I had time for each other and some good loving and even a little, itty bitty, tiny bit of spanking.  I feel I did prove my point that I should retire.  While off school this week I lost almost a pound and a half and my blood pressure was the lowest it’s been in years. Nick has some crazy idea that that had to do with his insisting I exercise every day and watched what I ate.  But he’s wrong – school raises my BP and makes me fat!

I did get the Cassie book dusted off and I’ve started polishing – I’ve also come to realize that it will never be right, but it does get better.  The first thing I found out for sure is – I love working on it.  Now I know if anyone ever actually want to publish it, and I get back the edits, well as one friend put it, “You’ll find out how horrible it really is.”  But I’ll face that when, and if, the time ever comes.  For now it’s just a joy. The second thing I found out is that polishing a book is very hard to do this unless you’re alone.  This summer I hope to get up and write for several hours while I have the house to myself.  I guess we’ll see.

Now about a change in our lives – for the first time in 21 years I no longer drive a mom-mobile!  I remember when we got our first van – January 1992 and the next month we found out that Mollie was on her way.  I remember Nick telling me that now we couldn’t afford to do up a nice nursery and the baby would have to sleep in the van, what a good dad!  But yes our shopping was car shopping – we had intended to just go car looking … but, this is our new baby.

One afternoon this week with Mollie safely back at school, we decided to make full use of our empty nest.  It’s always so nice not to have to rush; we were all alone and had all the time in the world. We started out playing our strip card game, complete with bonuses and penalties.   As the afternoon progressed we pulled out toys, vibrates, straps, lotions, plugs and paddles (but no canes).  We had an absolutely wonderful afternoon playing and loving and as we came back to ourselves we commented that we did do so bad for old folks.  It was then that we looked down to the foot of the bed and realized that, though the cat had moved a time or two to accommodate us, he never left the bed.  I sure hope that this speaks more to the cat’s laid back nature than to think we weren’t vigorous in our efforts.  If we get any more vigorous I’m going to need another week off.

And about the fact that we had the whole week and there was only 'a little, itty bitty, tiny bit of spanking' I have a plan I might try to improve that - Nick may not like it, but I guess we'll see.

  3. Good looking car. We're thinking of getting a new one too.
It was kind of the cat to accommodate you on its bed!

I thought that title would catch a few teachers. I don't think this plan would work for you, plus you seem to get plenty of spankings.

  8. Everything sounds perfect! That new baby is so sweet. I wish I had a 'new baby' ahem. As to retiring...keep up the good work and maybe it will happen soon..(I mean the begging/insisting)
You are talking about more spanking...not the cane, right?
    Fun Spring Break!

I NEVER talk about the cane, unless I'm discussing how to get rid of it!

  9. This was clearly a week well spent.
    It's an impressive new baby.
Who chose the type and who chose the colour?
If there's some money left, maybe you should invest in a BP monitor/recorder. You could wear it to school and collect evidence against this terrible institute.
I think I'll trade our dog for a cat. Whenever Lisa and I look at each other, she anxiously runs around to collect all her toys and keeps barking until we understand that playing is something we only do with the three of us together.
    Curious about your plans!

    1. Bas,
The car isn't brand new - but we got it down to two we liked and I got the final say since I'm the one that will be driving it the most.

Yes you definitely need a cat! I'll be sure to tell you all the plan soon - it's very simple if if works.

  10. I completely agree with you. Teaching raises your blood pressure, makes you fat, and gives you gray hair! I am glad you had a restful week off. I did too, but it makes the fact that tomorrow is Monday that much harder. The new car is awesome by the way!

I really, really need to retire. Being this close at least allows me to shrug most of the silly stuff off and just thing about teaching.

Isn't it a wonderful feeling! I remember ditching my giant Durango that seated 7 people and getting a sporty little Jeep that I could cruise around in - I loved it.
Enjoy it - you definitely earned it, Mum.

Thanks, if pushed all 5 of us in the family can ride - but LJ and Colin are only here about twice a year. Mostly it's Nick and me and it's great for us.

  18. Sounds like a nice week! I am glad you had a chance to write, relax, and play. The card time with toys sounds like a fun way to spend some time with your guy. And the car is very nice. I will be driving my mommy van for quite a while longer. And I can't wait to find out about your plan. I hope it works! And then please share in case it would benefit the rest of us out here... :-) hugs, Terps
