Lots of awarding going on these day and I was tickled to be nominated by Minelle, Rogue, and Dana.
The rules:
1.When one
receives the award, one posts 11 random facts about oneself and answers the 11
questions asked by the person who nominated you.
2.Pass the
award onto 11 other blogs (while making sure one notifies the blogger that one
nominated them!)
3.One writes up
11 NEW questions directed towards YOUR nominees.
4.One is not
allowed to nominate the blog who nominated one's own blog!
Eleven facts
about me:
I really like
spending time alone.
I would
rather be dipped in hot tar than hit a black Friday sale – and I’m sickened by
stores opening up on Thanksgiving.
I hate
wearing coats.
I played
clarinet in my high school band. At
least I owned one, I’m not sure I ever really learned to play it.
Several of my
close friends in real life were people I really didn’t like when I first met
them.
I feel closer
to many people I know out here than I do to most of the people I see every day.
I am sick to
death of driving a mom-mobile!
I would
rather have a gift cert. to Staples, or Office Depot than nice clothing stores.
If there is
only one women’s and one men’s restaurant in a store I have no problem using
the men’s room.
If I had the
choice of winning 5 million or 500 million, I’d choose the 5 million.
I’ve always
believed in reincarnation.
For those
kind enough to nominate me –
Minelle questions
1.Who was your first kiss? Alan, 7th grade boyfriend.
What is your favorite family
tradition? Opening Christmas gifts one at a time,
going in a circle so we can see what everyone gets and their reactions.
What is your favorite ethnic food? Lasagna
Do you exaggerate when telling a
story? Who me? Well perhaps, sometimes.
What is the worst practical joke you
ever played on someone? I used to work with a girl
terrible afraid of snakes. Several time
we bought in dead snakes to hide and terrify her. BTW, she is now my SIL.
What is your favorite cologne? Never use any.
What is the most daring thing you
ever did? Tell Nick about TTWD and ask him to
participate.
What is the funniest movie you ever
saw? Airplane
Favorite junk food, salty or sweet? Love both, but salty is probably best.
Favorite trash read? I read no trash, only blogs and really good books.
Do you exercise? My fingers.
Rogue questions
What
is the first thing you notice about a man you just met? Eyes
What
celebrity do you resemble? Sally Fields (really I wish
more than I do, maybe after she gained 30 pounds to play Mary Todd Lincoln.)
What
is one thing you swore you would never do....and did? Quit my job as a veterinary technician and go back to college.

tall are you? About 5’3”, but getting old enough to
start shrinking now.

What
is your nickname? PK of course.

What is
your favorite movie? Same Time Next Year
If you
were shipwrecked, what three people from blogland would you like to be there
with you? What person from blogland would you most like to meet? No way, you’re not
limiting me to three – that’s like asking which kid you like best. There is not a person out here I wouldn’t
want to spend some time with and get to know better. But if you have to know I take the one with a
great boat, or the one with a large supply of food and water and the one with
an emergency beacon.
How many
pets do you have? Too many! Four cats at the moment.
What is
your greatest fear? Something happening to one of the
kids.
If you
could go back in time and change one event in your life, what would it be? Hmmm… there are times I’ve said things I wished I hadn’t or
when I wasn’t very nice. I like to go
back and change those little things or apologize, but mostly I’d leave things
alone because I like how things are now.
What is
your favorite color? Purple
I’m late to
the party so I won’t be nominating anyone.
But I have loved reading everyone’s answers!
Hi PK,
ReplyDeleteI could almost say ditto to your facts, except the clarinet.
I have often seen women coming into the men's room. it can be a bit painful when you suddenly hear some women talking behind your back ;-). I don't really mind, but I keep wondering what they would say if we did the same.
Ok we'll share the 500 million among the rest of us.
Sally Fields? Oh my! You've got wits and you are a beauty too? That Nick is a lucky guy!
Hugs,
Bas
Hi PK,
ReplyDeleteI played the clarinet too, for a while. I have to ask, what's a mom-mobile? (Something by Fisher-Price comes to mind.)
Hugs,
Hermione
I was late as well, but it was fun reading your answers. Wishing you the best for your Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteThank You! And I am so happy you played practical jokes on people now I do not feel like I am a total meanie. I am not real good about wearing coats either.
ReplyDeleteI am very social so is my darling hubby....when the kids were little they lamented when we'd meet a friend!
I loved Same Time Next Year too. It is such a heartwarming story.

ReplyDeleteLoved reading your answers. Thanks for sharing PK.
ReplyDeleteYes, what's a mom-moile?
Love,
Ronnie
xx
Bas, I only go in when it's a single bath room and I can lock the door behind me. Now remember - that Sally Fields thing is more like a wish.
ReplyDeleteHermione and Ronnie,
A mom-mobile is a hugh van we got when the kids were small and we needed it to haul them and all their junk around. Now I want something a little less kid oriented!
SNP,
I hope your Thanksgiving is great too.
Minelle,
I think we have quite a bit in common!
Sunny,
I read the book to which add just a little more to the story.
