I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Saturday musings...

It seems like Saturday’s night is my time to reflect on my week. It was a good one. I had 2 nice compliments on my weight loss this week. The first came from my brother-in-law. Now BIL and I have a long history of teasing, tormenting and picking at one another from way back, we enjoy these activities. But last Sunday he said “You are really looking good. I can tell you’ve been working hard and I’m proud of you.” He left the room then almost like he was embarrassed. It really did mean a lot coming from him.

The second compliment came from a cafeteria lady at school. She said I looked good and asked how much I have lost and then asked the hardest question I get asked about my weight “How in the world have you managed to stay motivated for almost 2 whole years?” What do I tell people when they ask this? “If I don’t keep losing my husband is going to turn me up and spank my ass!”? I just never know how to answer. So I just tell them my husband is a great motivator. It’s the truth, just not the whole truth.

My boy turns 20 on Monday. Twenty!! I just can’t believe it. I am going to be down to one teenager. And everyone knows that’s really plenty! He was going to be working in the theater all weekend so we didn’t go down. Collin went down to paint LJ room and hang pictures and just in general make his room look better as a birthday gift to him. I think it’s a gift that LJ is really going to love.

If you haven’t read Fantasy Friday this week please go here now. The voting is as close as it has ever been so please, if you haven’t vote now!! The reveal is coming tomorrow!

  1. Sounds like a wonderful week.

How lucky to make it through one of the teens, one down, one to go!

I wish I could get as motivated as you. If only Bossman wouldn't keep buying donuts!

(blaming others has always been my strong suit!)

    HUGS!

  2. PK, hi baby doll, twenty years makes a big difference.
Congratulations on the weight loss, maybe your evil twin will get to feel your choice.
Wow, a twenty year old son, looking at you who would believe it.
I hope that Nick gives you at least twenty good girls to celebrate LJ's birth.
    Love and warm hugs,
    Paul.

  3. LJ will always be your baby boy even 20 years from now.

I can hear all the wolf whistles now when you walk the boardwalk this summer.

    *hugs and grins*

  4. Wow congrats on the weights loss and keeping it off! That's the real accomplishment!

My boy will be 20 too this summer. I can't believe he will no longer be a teenager. Our boys are all grown up!

  5. Congrats on the compliments. Sounds like you got one from someone that doesn't pass them out real often... so that is great. You've done an awesome job though, so you certainly deserved it!

How have you done it... lol. Yea, that's a tough one, because it's not possible to give a totally honest answer. Might be the one disadvantage of the spanking diet. You can't share it with many people.

Congrats on trading a teenager in for a young adult too.

    :)

  8. Those weight loss comments make it all worth while don't they? When I get them, I just want to keep going. It's a motivator. Dealing with the "how are you doing it" question is rough. I am hoping that I don't blush when asked because I tend to get a mysterious smile on my face. I end up shrugging my shoulders and then they answer for me..."you just cutting back and knocking off snacks?" yeah, that's it. I'm doing that. Congrats PK. I can also relate to the 20 yr. old son thing. I still don't feel any older no matter how old the boys get.

  10. OH, And I think you should say my hubby motivates me by spanking me-- just real tongue and cheek! They'd never beleive it and you'd get away with it! I bet if someone was a spanker though you might get them to come out to you!

  11. Nick isn't really into snacks and that really does help but if he does get himself a snack he always give me a bite. Often thats all I need.

    Paul,
Thanks! I am going to win the evil twins challange! And yes I was feeling pretty different 20 years ago tonight.

    David,
you are right he will alwasy be my baby! But about the bathing suit... I don't know.

    Theresa,
If we are only about 30 how did they get to be 20?

    Todd and Suzy,
I am finally getting proud of myself! But I can't tell any of my friends how I did it, such a shame.

    Twin,
They do feel good and you're right about the teens but I am enjoying Mollie these days too.

    Terpsichore,
Thank's for the birthday wishes for both of us.

    Lori,
We have to let them think what they want to think.

Now how do we think of our sons as adults.

  12. Carye I have said something like "Nick would beat my butt if I ate that". Your are right no one thinks anything of that.
