I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Don't touch that dial!

Sorry, no excitement to report here. Nick was away for the weekend.  I spent my time doing what all little old ladies do during a weekend alone – I sat buried among the 4 cats (trying to convince them I couldn’t type well with them lying on the key board or my arms), I over ate a bit, I left the fire on as long as I wanted to with out Nick saying, “Feels like a heat wave in here.”  I stayed up outrageously late and slept late too. And of course I spent a great deal of time reading and writing soft lady porn – or what ever it is that I write. Like I said, doing what all little old ladies do on the weekend.

In the past I would have included watching TV most of the time, but honestly there is nothing on to watch these days.  I like a few of the comedies – Big Bang Theory, How I met your Mother, Two and a half men, Mike and Mollie – I like them and I watch them, but I don’t worry if I miss one.  I still watch Survivor, but again I’m not that wrapped up in it. I watch Law and Order, SVU, but I miss Elliot and it’s not the same.

Could you imagine a good series about us?  What if someone had the nerve to do a drama about a community where domestic discipline is used?  Not a comedy, not a parody, but the real thing.  Incorporate a really strict HOH mixed with a few more moderate ones; some couple who are just in it for fun and then some true vanillas who think the rest are crazy. Imagine the action, the bratting, the worrying, and most of all the conversations!  I can’t see this show being made – but imagine the rating if someone did have the guts to do it.  It would be the most talked about show in the country, in the world.  All the critics would hate it, women’s right’s activists would have a stroke, there would be marches on the streets in front of the studio and every talk show host would have discussion after discussion about it. And through all of this the ratings would be going through the roof.

When this happens I want me, and several of my friends out here, to be hired on as technical advisors, because vanillas will get it wrong on their own. Now lets put our heads together, anyone out there know someone in the television industry? Tell them if they are worried about sponsors we can put then in touch with Eden’s Fantasies or Cane-IAC or so many others.

I know, I know a good wife would have spent this weekend cleaning closets and cooking to stock up the freezer – but you see where my mind goes.  Hope you weekend was fun too.

  1. PK,
I think such a show would have yo be broadcast from way beyond the Moon.
That would be the only way to keep the actors and others safe.
Too many people think that they have the right to tell us what to think and how to behave.
    Love and warm hugs,
    Paul.

  2. Oh my goodness...Kat and Natalie on national TV and the entire country saying she is too bossy. I quake at the thought! *giggle*

  3. I love the idea, PK - and it is perhaps not out of the question....I was really surprised when the tv series about polygamy was aired.
Perhaps it would have to be cable, and I don't watch tv, but I would watch that one ;)

You are a great writer, whip up a script or two and send it to HBO - you never know.

  5. PK, it's not good, Nick leaving you alone over the weekend. You're extremely fast in learning bad habits.
Oh, and by the way: You're not OLD.

Well, we do have enough volunteeer writers for the new TV series.
Now, just to find a producer.

But you're right about the need for technical advisors. They would certainly rewrite the story, just to turn the characters into psychological wrecks with an abusive and troubled youth.
As a group we would not benefit from planting these ideas in mainstream public.

  6. Well I would certainly watch. Who determines what is PC?
Let's make a show with Cassie and Tom!
    Woo Hoo!!

  8. Paul,
It would be the most controversial show on TV and it would take people with guts to put it on. I’m not going to hold my breath.

    Ana,
And they would!! But they would be an asset on the show.

    Lillie,
Wouldn’t that be something! So many would watch ‘us’ secretly loving it and those who hated it would be watching so they could claim they were horrified.

    Sunny,
And I wonder what we would all say in public if we were asked out opinion.

    Bas,
I’m perfect – no bad habit here! Yes we have to some of us as the advisors, to show we are sane, strong, happy, ordinary people who choose this lifestyle.

    Minelle,
PC – hmmm… they will show rape, murder, torture, but not consensual spanking. Strange. You know I’d love to see Cassie and Tom on TV – be happy to write it for them!

    Faerie,
They probably won’t accept shows that aren’t old hat.

Sounds like you had a lovely relaxing weekend.

    Love,
