I wanted to let you know that Renee Rose was kind enough to do an authors interview with me on her site today. I hope you'll click here and check it out.
I hope your weekend is going well. I am anxiously waiting for Mollie to arrive so that I can show her her whole new house! Well half a new house anyway. But at least I can give you all something to do as I wait. As promised, the rest of Minelle's story. Enjoy...
A New Day, part two
Colleen walked into the house at exactly noon. She was ready
to defend her actions earnestly and adamantly. It wasn’t like I wasn’t paying
attention, I was, she thought. I think I should be able to make my choice to be
on the phone based on the situation. She was shoring up her arguments to
present to Allen.
Allen watched his beautiful, smart wife wrestle with the
idea of getting spanked for her decision this morning. They had gone over this
problem she had for talking on the phone when driving so many times recently.
She agreed in principal that it was dangerous, but just thought the rule
applied to everyone but her. He wasn’t having it; her life was of paramount
importance to him. He was going to burn her bottom!
“Come here Colleen, no stalling. I am not going to rehash
this issue at all.”
“No Allen, you can’t spank me for being excited and talking
to Claire on my cell!”
“Really? Try me dear!” With those words Allen lifted her off
her feet and walked over to their leather couch, sitting down in the
middle. Before she could rebel she was
across his lap her pants and panties at her ankles. He started spanking her
bottom with stinging smacks all over, pleading with her to recognize the
danger. After her bottom was bright red, he held her closely his voice a tad
shaky and asked her to watch some videos about this with him. “I am not trying to be unreasonable let’s
learn together.” he whispered.
All her mad melted
away when he said those words. She really knew he was right and could have
easily pulled over to talk to Claire. If he did what she had he would have
given up driving and walked everywhere until he made up for his poor decision.

An hour before I was going to meet the family at Marley’s
Pub my cell rang. My caller ID indicated
my oldest brother Steve was on the line.
“Hey Claire welcome home!”
“Hi Steven, how are Erin and the girls?” I knew I would be
seeing them shortly but I couldn’t help my excitement.
“There is never a dull moment in this household.” He was the
principal at the college prep HS in town and very, very busy.
“I was at school today and ran into Michael, just giving you
a heads up, I invited him to Marley’s tonight.” Michael was a co- administrator
at Steven’s school for the past 5 years so they also had developed a close
rapport almost as strong as Allen’s friendship was with Michael. I wondered if
he knew about Michael and me. Then realized that was stupid, everyone was sure
to know.
“Are you kidding me? Why are you just letting me know now?” Then, before I could censure my voice, I
asked, “Was he upset I hadn’t called him yet? ”
“He was just confused Claire. Since he lives near you he said
he’d touch base with you before meeting at the pub and see if you wanted to
walk together. Haven’t you spoken at all this week?”
Oh no! I wasn’t answering most of my calls. “He probably
left a message.”
Yep! Michael had left several messages. I listened to his
last voicemail he was definitely exasperated.
“Claire where are you? I was hoping to pick you up and go to Marley’s
together? I thought we were finally starting something when you moved back
home. I am not sure why you are avoiding me, but we need to talk.”
Argh! My face flushed as I hung up the phone, and looked
down at my outfit. I was wearing a short dress that hugged my curves. It was
sexy certainly, but I didn’t think outrageously so.
My phone rang again; I answered knowing it would be Michael.
“Claire you need to
stop avoiding me!”
“I just needed some time to adjust to your autocratic ways
Michael.” I knew I was being a trifle snotty. “I just needed to get out my
insecurities before we settled down.”
“We practically grew up around each other Claire. This is not about me expecting certain smart
decisions. I am no different than your family regarding understood
expectations. However, I will not stifle your creative fun impulsive nature. I
am not going to allow you to ruin a good thing, so wait for me and I will pick
you up in 10 minutes. We need to really figure out why you are running away
from us.”
Well that just put my dander up! I knew I was going to leave
since he didn’t ask me to wait, he ordered me to be ready in 10 minutes!
I grabbed my bag and left quickly, locking the door behind
me. As I walked down the stairs I realized my keys were sitting on the kitchen
table! I turned and looked up to the second floor remembering how I left the
window in my bedroom open. I thought about how I would just pull the ladder I
spotted on the side of the house up to the overhang, and climb in through my
bedroom. I could use my cell for light.
I made my way early to Marley’s figuring I could have a
martini while I waited for everyone to arrive.
In the quiet of the walk I realized I was being stupid, I
was sabotaging something great. All my sister-in-laws were autonomous
independent thinking women and marrying my brothers changed only what they
wished to change.
Yes, I thought, my brothers may be annoying to them at
times, with their over protective nature, but I’m sure they wouldn’t change
anything about them.
I was beginning to understand, that you couldn’t grow
without letting your heart be open to something new, and in my case, wonderful.
I think I had loved him for so long that I was afraid my fantasy wouldn’t match
up to reality. Oh well, I needed to eat some crow and apologize first thing!
I walked into the cool interior of Marley’s pub. It was pretty much empty right now. So I waved
to the owners as I inhaled the atmosphere and admired the place. The décor was
an eclectic mix based on the interest of David the owner and his wife Sharon. You
could pick out antique road signs from all over the world, next to pictures of
movie Stars in black and white, as well as color. However what I enjoyed the
most were the paintings and drawings they collected from those of us in the
community. I had several of my paintings adorning their walls. My paintings
were very emotional and colorful, while sometimes employing the most
traditional subject matter. This felt like home to me. Families came for dinner
while a younger crowd came later for adult partying.
The door opened quickly behind me and I turned to see a very
angry Michael. Before I could say hi honey… I was over his shoulder, his arm
carefully protecting my modesty since my skirt was so short. I was so startled
that I barely squeaked out a ‘hey’ before he called out to David.
“Hey David, can I use the office for a few?”
“Wait, I am sorry! Let me explain while we have a drink! “I
looked up to see a smiling David and a wide eyed Sharon. Then to compound my
immense embarrassment Allen and Colleen walked in just as David said, “sure….
take your time.”
As Michael put me down I took a brief moment to admire his
fantastic looks. He was tall about 6 feet 4 inches, sporting broad shoulders.
He had such a handsome face. When you met his eyes you just couldn’t look away
from the deeply dark blue fringed mirrors to his soul. Wavy dark hair curled
softly at the nape of his neck.
“I’m sorry!”
“You will be in a minute!”
“What do you mean?”
He grasped my hand firmly pulling me to the couch on the far
wall of the office.
“Wait!” I shouted.
“Why should I – you didn’t.”
“No, come on please stop and listen to me.”
Michael just ignored my pleading and turned me over his knee.
He pulled up my skirt. Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Smack! Ouch! I had a strange
feeling of déjà vu after my trip down memory lane this morning. However, when
he said, “Now let’s get rid of these.” as he pulled my sexy underwear down past
my knees. I knew he upped the ante.
I squirmed trying to get off his lap shouting, “NO WAY! You cannot do this to me!” Smack! Smack!
Smack! Smack! Smack! He continued making his point.
“I believe I am doing it ‘darlin’.” He stopped spanking,
just leaving his hand on my bottom.
“Are you ready to talk Claire?” He gently pulled me up and
sat me on his lap.
“Yes, I said, as I surreptitiously rubbed my behind, “I was
trying to tell you that I understand why I have been acting so crazy. I finally
figured it out. I have loved you for so long that I couldn’t believe my dream
of us together would ever be true. I guess I was trying to run away so I
wouldn’t have my expectations shattered.”
“That’s rubbish; I have always loved you as well. When you
moved away all those years ago I needed to see if it was your destiny. You were
a great deal younger and had to live some before settling down. It just took
you longer than I expected to return home! Your brothers were really tired of
answering my questions about what was going on in your life. After a while I
figured I should move on. That was until we connected last year when I called
saying I was going to a seminar near you. You invited me to stay with you and
we went out together. We were meant to reconnect; we’re both ready for this
now!”
We shared a passionate kiss, which was rudely interrupted by
my brothers banging on the door. “Hey this IS Claire’s welcome home party
Michael. You can finish your ‘discussion’ later.
I put my face into my hands and blushed to my roots! “What
did they hear Michael? Oh! I hope that they don’t come in?” I was panicking
pulling up my underwear and fixing my dress.
“Don’t worry about a thing.” Michael stood in front of me in
case anyone walked in. “Even if they think they heard something; they are way
too polite to bring it up.”
We walked out of the office into the boisterous welcome of
my family. It was a wonderful evening!
Michael and I walked home to my new house quietly rejoicing
in our new found love.
“Claire can I have your keys?”
“Umm, they are inside on the kitchen table. I am locked
out.”
“How were you going to get in tonight?”
“Weelll…. I WAS going
to climb a ladder up to the second floor and pull myself in my bedroom window…” However, I knew that would be too dangerous
so if you weren’t here, I was going to go home with Colleen and Allen.”
“Good decision Claire.” he hugged me close placing both
hands on my bottom, drawing me close.
“Nobody could accuse me of being a slow learner darling.”
I turned my face into his chest feeling completely at home
and ready to start my new life with Michael.

Minelle, you've done it for us once again. And I'm really happy that you started your own site where you can give us some stories along as letting us see how TTWD is affecting your journey. Thank you so much for sharing.
You know I issue an invitation each week, and I'm grateful that so many of you have taken me up on it, but today I really want those of you who really haven't ever considered it. Consider it! You don't think you can do it, but you need to give it a try. Look, if it's terrible, I'd be honest and help you work on it before we post it. But I'm always amazed at the people that don't think they can write who do an incredible job. Again, consider it! Send your stories to elisspeaks@yahoo.com
I loved it!! Thanks Minelle and PK!!!
