I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Spanking lives

I haven’t posted in the past few days – and there has been stuff to post. I’m just processing.

Nick was going to be gone golfing most of the day last Friday.

As he kissed me good-by he said, “Why don’t you write me a letter today?”

“A letter, what kind of letter?” I asked.

“Just a letter. I want to know what’s going on in your head,” he explained.

I agreed and while he was gone I wrote him. You know it’s a dangerous thing to give a writer an opportunity like that. I felt I showed great restraint to keep it to two pages. I’m fine and told him there were no problems. I went on to talk a little more about TTWD and even confessed to not following one rule he had asked me to. As Cassie once said, “Confession may be good for the soul, but it’s not something he hears from me often.”

It did lead to a little spanking, but most interestingly it lead to an unusual conversation.  We were laying in the bed after a spanking and Nick wanted me to channel him. What were the kind of think he needs to be saying, what were the reasons (in my head) for a spanking? I had to think for a little while, but then I just let it flow.

I ticked off some things I do that I know annoy him. Leaving the fan on in my writing room when I’m done for the day, not getting the mail even though I’m here all day, not getting my laundry put away in a timely manner. He threw in a couple of his own to make sure he understood. I told him all of these are great reasons for those short, grab the wooden spoon or something, type spankings. Little reminders you might say.

But I went on to the blowing off efforts to become healthier – my weight is causes BP problems, diabetes problems, joint problems… and the list goes on. If he doesn’t see progress he may need to think of being more serious about a spanking. And letting me know ahead of time that a ‘we need to get a handle on this’ type spanking, was a great way to get my attention. I went on his ‘his voice’ to give some reasons why I needed to make the effort to get healthy. When I was finished, he gave me a kiss and told me, “I couldn’t have said it better myself.”

TTWD will always ebb and flow with us, but Nick made it clear that he does not want to stop and that we will need to hear from me more. I’m bad at telling on myself – really bad, to the point of being extremely creative with some of my statements and answers.  Cassie doesn’t live in my head for nothing you know.

Mollie spent the night here last night. As we were sitting down to dinner Nick asked, “Didn’t you say you’d turn on the A/C today (it was delightfully cool this morning and we’d opened the windows). I told him yes and he looked pointedly at the one window I’d forgotten to close. I got a small grin and a raised eye brow.

I guess we’ll see what happens.

  1. "Write me a letter." What a great way to open the door to communicating, especially with a writer.

I'm working on getting healthy and in shape too. Eric won't spank me regarding my attempts at diet and exercise, even when I try to convince him it could be motivating and fun. He'll support me but not in that way. Instead, he bought me a book called Body for Life and challenged me to do a 12 Week kick start program. It's getting into his heavy travel time again so I think he wants to make sure I have a plan for the times when I get lonely and he's not here to keep me going. Maybe we could all keep each other going to a good twelve weeks. Are you game?

    1. Nick was also reluctant to introduce spanking into the whole weight thing. But it seems to work when we both work at it.

I'm not against your suggestion, but I admit to trying it with some other friends out here and it's never really worked for me.

  3. PK, this made me so glad to read. Although it is hard for Nick to be enthusiastic about ttwd, this shows that he thinks about it all on his own.

With all the extra work he has had on his plate lately, it is downright amazing that he is still so motivated to make you happy. What a guy!

Putting it in writing is an excellent way to bring the communication to a new level. I have written to Sam from time to time, especially in the beginning when he was not so sure about ttwd.

    Love,
    Ella

  4. This is exciting! When you talk like that understanding comes.
I think its fantastic that he sees that ttwd has definite benefits. May this all lead to amazing things for both of you.

    1. I think more than anything it shows me he's still willing - we will never be DD 24/7 and we're going to have long gaps at times, but we seem to come back to it. And that's good.

  5. What a great way to get communication going again - and it was Nick who suggested it, so you know he's on board. Sounds as if you'll get the help you need to improve your health. Hooray!

  6. Hi PK! I keep reading how people are running out of things to write but some of the oldies are really such goodies, I had an idea. I was blogging last night and checked out the stats for all time most viewed post. It got me thinking how fun it would be if everyone reposted their top entry so we could all see it again. If you are so inclined, you have many more followers than I do, maybe you could repost your most popular blog and encourage everyone else to do the same. :) Amy

  9. This is BEAUTIFUL, PK!! You have quite a loving fella there! What a wonderful thing it was, for Nick to ask you to write to him. Then you came together for some intimate communicating, in all kinds of ways. LOVE this! Many hugs,

  10. Really nice post. My hubby is getting better at the quick reminders lately. And if we talk later in bed about it, there's usually some more!
