Our house is ours again! Our beloved children are back to their usual homes and they’re happy so I am too. And I’ll take a moment here to share that Mollie made the chancellor’s list with a 3.85 GPA. Only student teaching to go, amazing – Mollie was in middle school, thirteen years old, when I began here.

But now that they’re back to normal it’s time for Nick and I
to get back to normal. That usually takes longer. I have a terrible time
switching from mommy mode to PK mode.
But Nick didn’t seem to have a problem! Yesterday was Friday, our first
Friday alone in over a month. I honestly haven’t given it much thought, but
Nick was right there with Blondie’s paddle to remind me. I reminded him it had
been a while and perhaps going a bit easy wouldn’t be a bad idea. Bless him –
he pretty much ignored me!
My weekend wasn’t over. Saturday we finally celebrated my
birthday – just over a month late. That in itself was a fairly substantial
spanking, I’m no kid after all. Nick always chooses a different implement for
each decade. It was a really wonderful afternoon, what’s better than a good
spanking and some good loving. Seems to
me that Nick is ready for PK to make her a return and his insistence is the best
way to get her back. Happy lady here!
Hi PK, congratulations to Mollie! That is fantastic news :)
ReplyDeleteGlad you are empty nesters again and that Nick didn't forget about Friday. I love that he ignored your suggestion to go a little easier since it had been a while lol.
Your Saturday sounds awesome! A great belated birthday celebration. So happy for you. Sounds like you are having a wonderful weekend :)
Hugs
Roz
I was a little surprised he jumped right back in with no prompting - a very good sign.
DeleteWonderfull news for Mollie and you all! I bet you are proud of her hard work!!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad Nick is insisting PK returns! Your celebration sounds fantastic and just what you both needed to re- establish your space!!
An empty nest does wonderful things for a couple.
DeleteCongratulations to Mollie PK! So happy to see that you and Nick had a wonderful weekend...love the way Nick has stepped up.
ReplyDeleteHugs and Blessings...

It really was a wonderful weekend - and I still have tomorrow off!
DeleteYou must be so proud of your daughter. And great that Nick stepped up to the plate so you could enjoy your empty nest time. Let's hope he keeps doing it. You know you need it and crave it.
ReplyDeleteFD
I'm so proud of her too! I'm very grateful for Nick.
DeleteGreat news all around. Congrats Mollie! Two spankings in one weekend.....it is sounding like this could be a very interesting year for you and Nick.
ReplyDeletehugs abby
Hmm… it could well be! I guess time will tell.
DeletePk,
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you! You and Cassie sound more alike each day.
Meredith
LOL! I consider that a wonderful compliment! Thank you!
DeleteCongratulations to Mollie. Fantastic news and happy times for you, two spankings.

She does make me proud! Two is more than I had hoped for.
DeleteSounds like a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh it was!
DeleteHi Pk, oh what a great weekend. So pleased for Mollie too. Seems like Nick has been itching to get back to it all as well
ReplyDeletelove Jan,xx
Evidently he was - suits me just fine. Mollie is a jewel!
DeleteYay for Mollie. That is exciting. Don't send her to California, teaching jobs are hard to come by. :-(
ReplyDeleteAnd yay for you. I love to see the progress. The paddle looks familiar.
I think she can find a job in NC - they just won't pay her anything.
DeleteThe paddle is my favorite!
Brilliant for Millie - well done her!
ReplyDeleteAs for you - I am so intrigued by a different implement for every decade. I don't think we have that many implements! LOL! LOL!
Glad things are good with you!
Many hugs
Ami
Come on girl, neither of us are that old! It was fun changing things up.
DeleteWhoa HoHO, PK!!! :) I am so very happy for you!! Sounds like things are quite fine over in your neck of the woods! GO NICK! :D Any spatula action? LOL!
ReplyDeleteGood for Mollie! How wonderful! You must be so proud!
I'm smiling big time over here this morning! Enjoy the rest of the long weekend! Many hugs,
<3 Katie
Thanks Katie, it was a great weekend. Spatula usually only comes out in the kitchen and we began in the bedroom. Yep, Mollie is doing great. Her student teaching begins tomorrow.
DeleteI don't see any way that paddle could give a "gentle" spanking, lol. A different implement for each decade--I like it! Hope you're feeling like PK is completely back. Mommy is never far behind. I get that. I do enjoy the empty nest though.
ReplyDeleteI can't say she is completely back - but she is definitely popping in once and a while. I used to be an all leather girl, avoided wood when I could, but for the moment I'm the other way. Go figure. But I really like this particular paddle.
Deletesounds like a wonderful way to spend the week-end so happy for you! :-) Hugs
