I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Wonderful gifts

Since I’m just barely out of Christmas mode I wanted to show you two of my favorite gifts, both from Nick. I’m not big on jewelry, especially fancy jewelry. I love to see it on other, but it never felt ‘right’ for me. Usually I only wear my wedding band and the occasional necklace. But this year I saw some rings that I really liked and I showed them to Nick.

He got them for me and I now have two beautiful, simple rings baring LJ and Mollie’s real names. I love them and have a feeling I’ll be wearing these for a long time. I’m also on the lookout for a new wedding band, our thirty-fifth wedding anniversary will be later this year so I might see something I'd like.

The second gift Nick got me truly does show that my husband knows me well. What do you think?

Thankfully this doesn’t happen too often. They talk, I just don’t always have the time to write all they’re telling me. Maybe as we all get back to normal I’ll have a little more time. But really, when does that ever happen? At least it’s a fun goal to work toward.

And while I’m showing just a few of the wonderful gifts I got, I don’t want to leave this one out. This came from a dear friend of Cassie’s and I have it on the side table in my writing room. I smile every time I see it.

Very sweet of your and Cassie's friend to send you the frame book cover. Hopefully it may inspire more writing :)

  2. PK, I absolutely love your new rings. What a wonderful idea to have your children's name on them. That mug is cool, hopefully it doesn't come true too often. Of course the framed Cassie photos is awesome. Looks like you had a wonderful time.

    1. They are wonderful reminders! The company that did the rings is Lisa Leonard and they have little medallions for necklace too.

  6. Sometimes, Christmas gifts are worth way more than what they cost. A well chosen gift makes us realize how loved we are. Glad you got that feeling, my friend. Merry Christmas.

    Love,

My wife would like similar rings. She’s not keen on other jewelry as much. They are nice. Might consider something like that for her birthday.

    PK,
Love your new rings.......... My rings are very important to me too. The stories they tell might be only to us, but they do tell a story of love and strength and hope.
