I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Stormy weekend in many ways

I’m afraid I didn’t make it to the writing workshop. Matthew got in the way. I headed a couple of hours away, with the plan to go on the two hours to the workshop the next morning. I stayed over night with another old friend and that turned into an experience. We stayed up late talking and then after I headed to my bed I sat there on it playing a little longer on the computer. Then about midnight I pulled back the comforter only to find there were no sheets on the bed. Hmm… what to do. I wasn’t about to wake her to ask for some, so I just slept on the mattress pad. No real problem. The dilemma was going to be whether or not to tell her the next morning.

Morning came early – to a screaming fire alarm. This is getting to be a habit. No firemen, hot or other wise, came but we had a hard time getting the darn things to shut up! After getting a ladder we were able to get to the thing and get the battery out. That didn’t help – it still screamed. She put a new battery in, still nothing. I was ready to start screaming with it. I knew it was also wired into the home so I suggested she go to the fuse box and about that time it final shut up. Well it did keep chirping, but we could live with it. As you can see my day was off to a wonderful start. About an hour later when my friend came to pick me up to go to the workshop and I made a strong suggest that we not go. The workshop was in a city that we hadn’t thought would be so effected by the storm, but we were mistaken. After a small argument, she finally agreed and we headed back to her apartment and spent the day writing.

Before I left Nick surprised me with a spanking. And the main surprise was the reason. His reason surprised me and I hoped he will continue to pay attention to it, because it’s one of my worst faults and I wish I could correct it. Yes, I’ll tell you all about it, but I need to mull it over a while longer.

  1. Hi PK, I'm sorry the weekend didn't go as planned and that you didn't get to the workshop. The fire alarm would definitely have done me in! lol

Go Nick! Looking forward to hearing more if and when you are ready :)

  2. Hi PK. All your plans went down the gurgler by sounds of it. I bet I know why Nick spanked you, for distancing yourself. At least you got to visit two friends and do some writing even if your didn't go to the workshop.
Hope things are starting to improve for you.

  4. Glad to know you were safe and sound, PK. As for your spanking, there is no faster way to address one's faults than OTK. Direct path from the bottom to the brain.

    1. I'm not sure what I think about the spanking - it's confusing.

  5. Sorry the weekend didn't go the way you planned, PK but very happy you were safe. I do hate smoke alarms that keep going off and chirping. Mine is wired into my home alarm system and had to have the alarm company come change out a secondary battery that actually caused the chirping...that may be your friend's issue. BTW...did you tell her about the lack of sheets? ;)

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

    1. It nearly drove me out into the rain. I did tell her about the sheets. I told her I didn't want her to think I'd stolen them!

  6. I could have sworn I commented, but it's not here. So glad you exercised your common sense and didn't venture into Hurricane Matthew.
Have no idea what to say about the sheets except if it was in a hotel, you'd call to get some, right.

    1. Yes I would have called at a hotel, but I hated to wake my friend. It did give us a good laugh the next morning.

  7. I am so sorry you didn't make the conference, but very glad indeed you were sensible and therefore were safe! I see there is now another horrid hurricane out in the Atlantic biding its time.

The spanking sounds very exciting. You make me jealous!

How funny about the sheets! Just the sort of thing I would do! And we are always having 'alarm' incidents like that! Blooming things!

    1. The flooding in the east of my state is still horrible. Water up to the roof tops. It's low country and they didn't expect the rivers to crest until late this afternoon.
