I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Put on your thinking caps

When my mom had a question she would go to the beauty parlor or the bridge club. These places were full of women she respected and trusted. I come here – my friends here have some smarts and I hope they will have some ideas for me, well, us.

How do you find the books you read? Do you choose books by word of mouth, find them on blogs, magazines ads – where? I always tell you when I have a new book coming out and many of you have gotten them and I greatly appreciate it. But believe it or not, not everyone reads my blog – I know, I was shocked too! I don’t expect to become a best selling author, but millions of people enjoyed 50 Shades and I really feel that there is a percentage of those readers that would like reading about Cassie and Tom. So HOW to I let them know the books exist. This isn’t a rhetorical question – please if you have ideas, share them.

Meanwhile, I do want to use my blog to let you know of two great new books by two wonderful women. Not only fantastic writers, but also good friends of mine.

Leigh Smith’s newest book is Finding Love at the Trail’s End.  I love Leigh’s books, I love the way she writes sexy cowboys and I love that her cowboys spank!  This book took twist and turns and got me so wrapped up in it I was ready to spank Leigh at certain points! I know you’ll love this.

Following the death of her mother, life takes a turn for the worse for Lily Rose. When her father succumbs to alcoholism, Lily is forced to run the family's mercantile business on her own. However, when handsome wagon train scout Johnny Billings takes a fancy to her, she seizes the opportunity to get away, and although he forbids her to accompany him on the Oregon Trail she finds a way to finagle her passage.

During the long and often arduous journey, Johnny and Lily Rose fall in love. They marry and spend their wedding night beneath the stars under the cover of tall cottonwoods. Lily Rose, however, is frequently sharp-tongued and not adverse to throwing the occasional temper tantrum when things aren't going her way. But Johnny knows just how to deal with her... he takes her over his knee for a well-deserved spanking, an activity which usually leads to great sex.

Eventually, the newly married couple settle at a ranch in Fort Laramie where they look forward to a long and happy life together. But disaster strikes and Johnny is killed during a fierce storm. Grief stricken, Lily Rose is left wondering if she will ever be happy again. Some months later, Johnny's childhood friend, Luke, arrives and an instant attraction is formed. Perhaps she can still find love at the end of the trail?

But wait – there’s more!

Ronnie Soul has also come out with a new book, The Secret Diary of a Disciplined Wife, volume II!  Ronnie writes about her real life and I find myself jealous of her quite often. She and her husband P enjoy spanking for the sheer pleasure of it, but P doesn’t hesitate to let Ronnie feel the real thing if he feels it’s necessary. You will love reading about here life!

Real life spankophile, Ronnie Soul, shares with us some of the things she and her husband get up to in the privacy of their own home, or in a hotel, on board a boat... you name it. Here are extracts from her now not so secret diary, each piece focusing on a specific occasion, utilizing hand, canes, paddles, rulers, or anything else that happens to be handy that can be used to spank a naughty female bottom. And Ronnie does get spanked - often! Sometimes because she's messed up or been jealous or cheeky, sometimes because spanking is a great form of stress relief, and sometimes simply for the hell of it as she and her partner enjoy it as a fundamental part of their domestic discipline marriage. And then of course there are the delicious after effects of such spankings to be savored... where the sex is as sizzling as her well-spanked bottom.

Here are two great book for you – but remember my question. Please give us all suggestions for promoting our books and letting others know about them. And if you’re willing, please go to Amazon and write a review anytime you like a book. It helps sales and I can’t tell you how much that means to a writer. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions – even if you don’t usually comment, it you have an idea, please share.

  1. Hi PK, I find my books out here, on Amazon and once I find an author I like I keep an eye on new releases and such like. I think Fifty Shades was so big because it was in the mainstream papers. I have no idea how you could do that and still be anonymous though. Let's face it E L James put herself about. As much as we all read these books on our kindles I think they need to be in print in a big chain of shops too to be found by the masses. I reckon Ashe Barker's Trilogies are better than FSOG but have no idea how well she sells. I have bought her books on Totally Bound, maybe that is a good vendor. In this day and age you would think Amazon would be enough though so no ideas really from me. Just keep trying I say
    love Jan, xx

    1. You're right, they need to be in print to get read by the masses. I'm not worried about my anonymity anymore. I just wish more people knew about the books. Once I'm officially retired I'll put something about them on my real FB.

  2. Hi PK, I too keep an eye out for new releases once I find an author I like. The rest is probably word of mouth. I'm sorry, I don't have any ideas for you except social media perhaps.

    1. Word of mouth is hard with spanking books - most people, even if they love a book aren't going to tell their real life friends.

  3. Before I got to know all of you, I used to troll through Amazon Kindle books. I paid a lot more attention to the sales blurb and the number of pages than to the reviews. I discovered Sunny's books this way long before I ever knew her.

It is hard to advertise without spending some money, but perhaps a free-thinking radio station would be something to try. The other thing would be flyers with the little tear off tabs. "If you loved 50 Shades, try Cassie's Space. Available on Amazon for your Kindle." Then have your website address or an email. I will keep thinking where you might be able to hang such flyers.

    1. I do have business cards - a larger flyer might be the way to go. I could show all the books and leave them everywhere I go. Hmmm...

  4. I only get word of new spanking fiction from blogs, so I'm no help whatsoever, sorry!

  5. Perhaps getting some publicity at sec shops like babeland, Adam and Eve, or Pure romance. Since it would cost a lot to advertise each book individually, maybe the publisher could put out a pamphlet along the line of "If you enjoyed FSOG, you may like..." followed by a list of books and short summaries. Our local library has binders like that for various genres and I have discovered many authors that way.

The shops may not profit from book sales if they are all online, but they may get more customers buying implements.

Good luck! I enjoy your books a lot.

    1. I think it's worth asking. We have three stores within a short distance. I may design my own flyer. That would be fun anyway.

  6. I tend to check out the new releases at Blushing Books and store like that. It would be nice if there was some kind of thing that said "if you like this book, try this one" or list similar books too. I don't know just thinking

    2. Blondie! I'm so happy to hear from you! Now on Amazon it does have that feature, 'people who bought this also bought this...' and shows lots of suggestions.

I really hope all is well with you.

  7. Hey PK...I find books on Amazon, Blushing, references from friends, and of course, all the lovely writers here in blogland. Once I find an author whose style I enjoy, I sign up for their newsletter and/or the newsletter from their publisher. Thanks for the reminder about Sunny and Ronnie...have been so busy that I haven't downloaded the latest books...have no clue as to when I'll get to read them! LOL

    Hugs and blessings...Cat

  9. I find my books either here on the blog line or on my Kindle now. I love hearing when there are new books out just like what you have shared and plan on going to take a look and most likely purchase both. Thanks for sharing.

  10. Have you tried to submit Cassie's books to a regular publisher? It's probably too expensive to self-publish, yes? I found books at Amazon by searching for 'books like FSOG' then caught on that I needed to use 'dd' or 'spanking'. Years ago I looked for sexy looking paperbacks and read the back cover. When I found one that was what I wanted, I'd buy the same author. Then they all became PC and there was no more spanking in them.
