I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.

A Beautiful Conclusion to Our Trip

I wanted to do one last post on our trip. These are some of my favorite pictures. This was at the end of our trip and finally Nick got to do something he'd had on his bucket list for a long time. It was NOT on my bucket list. But we're a team and so I was right there with him.

We left the Grand Canyon traveling again through some empty lands, prompting Nick to comment, " We've driven over five miles and we haven't passed a Dollar General, a Wal-Mart, a McDonalds or a tattoo parlor." Something we could never say at home.

But we kept going and eventually reached civilization again. So want did we do that Nick had wanted to do for so long? I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Yes we did go up, up and away in a beautiful balloon!
And we loved it!

You sure did go up, PK! So brave of you to do that with your hubby for his bucket list! I prefer to keep my feet on the ground at all times if at all possible! What a wonderful experience for you two though! Lovely pictures! Glad you made it back safely! Hugs! Windy

  4. Stunning pictures, PK. That man of yours is quite the photographer. So glad the weather cooperated for you, too!

I like your words about being a team. Sometimes I think that feeling grows stronger with ttwd.

    1. This wasn't scary for me. I don't have a fear of heights, I have a fear of falling. The basket felt safe.

  7. So beautiful! And a wonderful memory for you and Nick. I'm not sure if I could do it myself though I'd love to be brave enough... I panicked on a 40 foot outside elevator once. I'm so glad you got to experience it.

    1. I was scared at the edge of Bryce Canyon cause I could see how easily someone could fall. I didn't feel like I could fall from the basket.

    PK,
Loved seeing all of Nick's photos.
We went on a hot air balloon ride in a far away exotic place and will always treasure those memories. How wonderful you have experienced the same thrill.

  12. Stunning photos, PK. I’ve been on a ride in a hot air balloon but the scenery in the English shires couldn’t compare with the amazing sights of your trip.

  14. Wow, PK! what an awesome experience for you both ... flying without an engine ... must make you feel like a bird. I would love to do it but my fear of heights would have me huddled in the bottom of the basket :>)) So good for Nick (and you) to get a chance to check this off his bucket list! ... nj ... xx
