A trip and a meme

I’m heading to a writing conference this Friday and Saturday. These conferences aren’t really my thing, but I have a friend who enjoys them and she invited me along. I’ve turned her down several times. But this one is being held in Cassie’s town, where I have relatives I usually only get to see once a year. It gives me a chance to walk along Cassie’s river and sit on her deck. My cousin even looks a lot like Cassie – I believe that’s all they have in common, but still.

I thought I’d put up Abby’s meme this week because they are just fun to do.

1. Early bird or night person? 

Definitely a night owl. I hate to give up the day for some reason. But I love sleeping late.

2. Vanilla, chocolate or strawberry? 

Chocolate cake, strawberry ice-cream and the fragrance of vanilla.

3. Summer or Winter?

I have always said Summer, because I was off in the summer. Now I like it all. 

4. Hearty breakfast or just coffee? 

I love to go out for a hearty breakfast when we’re on vacation, I usually just have a light breakfast at home. Coffee is only for sitting down writing!

5. Bright or muted colors?

I had my classroom filled with bright colors in my home and want I wear it’s more muted. 

6. Pie or cake? 

Few things in the world are better than a delicious moist cake! Devil’s Food with a white frosting  is at the top of my list!

7. Seaside vacation or fun in a big resort or city? 

I think I’d prefer a seaside vacation with a few restaurants you could walk to and maybe a few shops. I’d never pick a city for a vacation. I go to NYC to see LJ at times, but I don’t like cities.

8. Dog or cat lover?

I do love them both, but for us right now cats are my favorite. We can leave food and water and down and be gone for a few days. I also like them cause they are softer when they walk on you and when they sleep in our bed. 

9. Short or long hair?

Pretty short. 

10. Leather or wood?

I don’t hate wood, but leather is always better. 

11. Baseball or football fan? 

Baseball/football – there’s a difference?

12. Spa day or a day shopping with a friend? 

I’ve never had a spa day, don’t know if I would like it or not. The only people I can really shop with are my sister and Mollie. I like being with them!

13. Live concert or movie?

I’ll take the movie – I do all I can to avoid crowds. 

I don't mind a few folks

14. Wrap a gift with paper and bow or use a gift bag? 

I use both, but if I’m getting a gift, I always like tearing off paper.

   

15. Help build a snowman or stay inside and make the hot chocolate? 

I’ll probably make the hot chocolate while I watch it snow.

16. Four seasons or California climate?

Four seasons for sure. 

17. Driver or passenger? 

I don’t like driving. I see cars as a place to sleep. That’s really frowned on when you’re the driver.

18. Pajamas or a night gown?

I don’t wear either – I started sleeping in the nude the day I came out to Nick. 

19. Bake a cake or go to your favorite bakery? 

Bake? Me? But I know a great bakery!

20. Theater night...musical or drama

I rarely go to the theater I think I’d like them both.
