About an old friend

Before I begin this busy week I wanted to take a minute to give you an update on Bas' family.  I know many remember Bas, a fine man, wonderful writer and a dear friend to many of us.

I heard from Bas’ wife. I just want to report that she is doing well and two days ago became a grandmother again.  Bas’ little grandson that he got to meet now has a little brother.  Ms. Bas seemed very happy and excited and they are looking forward to celebrating Christmas with this new addition. I’m so glad she is doing so well.

    Thank you PK. I think of him often and sometimes reread emails we exchanged. His words echo in my mind, and I share them often with others. Bas was the first person to ever comment on my blog, and I miss his voice in blog land.

    This was perfect to hear! I have been thinking about him recently too. He always made me smile and often would include thoughts for my guy!
    He would be thrilled to have a new grandson for Christmas! I am glad they are all doing well!
