I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

They lied!

I did my research, I watch TV.  Specifically I watch HGTV.  Contrary to want they lead you to believe you cannot redo a kitchen in a half hour, you can’t even do it in the full hour show! We are in a mess here.  We were down to the studs; we do have the dry wall back up now, but nothing else.  Everything has been shoved into my writing room.  We decided to redo the living room carpet too, so we’re going to eventually move all that furniture too. And yes as several friends asked, we probably are crazy to do it all at once.  So that nice, quiet, peaceful writing time I was looking forward to this summer hasn’t exactly happened yet.

I’m heading to the beach to meet up with my sister Thursday.  Nick isn’t thrilled with me making such a long drive alone, but I don’t mind the drive.  I did feel a little like Cassie when I mentioned it to him.  His first question was “Is Sue going?”  I had to laugh, my cousin Susan will be there, but no, it’s not the same.

I do have a spanking post in me somewhere – it’s rolling around in my head.  I usually do my best mind blogging when driving alone.  Don't worry, I've been mind blogging for over forty years now.  I can compose post and concentrate on driving at the same time.

But before head off on this trip I have another book suggestions for you.  Sorry not one bit of spanking in the whole thing, but it still has my highest recommendation.  The book is Learning Trust, by Donna Steele. It’s in an ebook and you can get in on Amazon and several other places.

It a mystery and honestly, it’s one of the best mysteries I’ve read.   If you have a Kindle or a Nook I really hope you’ll give it a try.  Let me know what you think of it. And although I’ll be gone, there’ll be a brand new Fantasy Friday.

  1. Be safe and have fun on your trip, PK. How nice of you (but that is you!) to put a plug in for the book. Mystery is not my first genre, but I will look into this.
Be sure and take a lot of before and after pics of your renovations. Glad you get to escape for just a little bit:)

  2. Have a great trip. Maybe you just need Ty Pennington and his merry band of misfits to come do you house. They re-did a home in our city for their show and really did get it done in a week :)

Have fun on the trip. I think it's cute he doesn't want you to drive alone. (very Tomish)Even though I am very independent, my husband has me ride in front of him when we bike, and is even uncomfortable if I go on the path alone in the early evening....so I get it. I absolutely love mysteries so I will definitely check it out.

  7. PK, I doubt that you have sister named Thursday, that would be a dead give a way, but a lovely name for a girl.
I'll take a look at the book, mysteries aren't usually my thing.
    Love and warm hugs,
    Paul.

  8. If ever I am involved in a crime, then I want CSI to come and investigate. They will find the bad guy & lockem up all within the hour!

  10. SNP,
I just really liked the book, I hope you will. We are taking tons of pictures. Mollie insisted!

    Fearie,
As tiny as our kitchen is Ty might have completed it in an hour.

    Minelle,
I think Nick’s biggest worry is that when he’s driving I’m usually asleep in the car before we back out of the drive. I honestly do much better when I’m alone.

Thank, PL Brat! I really hope you’ll like it.

    Sunny,
    I really hope you’re right!

    Ronnie,
Thanks and let me know what you think.

    Paul,
I never claimed to always be grammatically correct!

    Submanhub,
Absolutely! We do want our satisfaction quickly these days.

    Poured out,
I think you are definitely right on that.
