I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

This is going to take some getting used to

I'm writing this on my new macbook pro.  Boy, is a lot I don't know how to do!  I really, really wish that Mollie was here. I think I'm going to be pleased in the long run but it going to take a while before I'm comfortable with it.  I have a smaller screen, a good screen, but smaller than I'm used to.  And so far I haven't been able to get Mollie's code so that I can down load word - so I can't write, well not like I'm used to.

Honestly that is about to drive me NUTS!!  I usually even write my post on word and paste  it here.  The words are just not flowing as usual.  You would be amazed to know how many things you can think to post about when you don't have the ability to write and post them.  There is a chance that Mollie will be home for one day next weekend. I don't like her driving all that way but I sure could use her help. I'll leave that up to her.

The test scores are back and they aren't great overall, I have no idea how I fared in comparison to Mr. K.  We will remediate Monday and retest on Tuesday so the agony continues.

Sorry that I messed up Fantasy Friday this week.  Not having time on the computer and not having a place to write freely is frustrating me to no end. More soon, I hope.

  2. PK, take it easy dear girl, there will be no problems with your friends.
Try not to get frustrated, that will only stress you. and then life will go from bad to worse.
I'm sure that you will get used to your Mac soon.
    Love and warm hugs,
    Paul.

  3. It is a steep but short learning curve. There is a "Dummies" book called "switching to a Mac" that I found helpful. Also this website, http://www.dummies.com/how-to/computers-software/macs-os-x/Mac-Basics.html. Also, I have found googling "how to 'whatever' with a Mac" usually works. Good luck with the tests!

  5. Each day will get better and better. Step one is over. You have a new computer so now you just have to play around. You probably can't mess too much up. Just keep trying. As Paul says..."we're your friends".
Hugs! (hope testing goes better this week)

  6. Welcome back :) I have faith you will learn the new computer lickety split, lol. I'm with you on thinking of all kinds of things to write about when you don't have the time or capability. Seem to be suffering the same issue myself with the new job. I need to start jotting the ideas down somewhere so they will jog my memory when I do have the time to write.

With my luck I would write them down and then lose the paper, lol. Wouldn't that be a weird thing for some unsuspecting vanilla type person to find :)

My daughter says the way to learn how to use the Mac, is to just keep playing with the controls! You will become a master in no time!
As far as the testing goes, One test doesn't measure a students learning, there are way too many variables. I bet your students will show their knowledge next time!!!

  10. Sunnygirl,
    I sure hope you're right.

    Paul,
It's hard not to be frustrated. Maybe a new computer and a closing the school year shouldn't be done at the same time.

    Jane,
I will definitely try the website and probably get the book. I'm going to get it.

    Abby,
I'm lost too, but one e school is out I think I'll enjoy trying.

    SNP,
I know I'll get it. I think websites and books will help but I sure would like to sit down with someone who KNOWS, I really miss Mollie.

    Faerie,
LOL! That could be an interesting list for someone to find. You better learn to write in code! I'm making a list too. A lot of what I want to vent about is off topic.

    Minelle,
My niece told me to forget everything I'd learned on a PC and be like a little kid again and just push buttons.

    FA,
I'm sure thing will be better on Tuesday, thanks. I have tons of little notes on post it's to remind myself of post ideas.

    Eva,
You're asking me? Do I look like Ceeci? I wish!
