I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Poem from a Reader

I got an email from a reader last week. She is like so many of us, knowing what she wants but finding it so very difficult to explain it to the man in her life. I know many of us have been right there with her. She has made the decision that whether she gets back with the man she cared so much about or moves on continuing to look for the right guy - she will share this desire with him.

Meanwhile she has been writing some poetry and she shared it with me and she said I could share it with you. I think it hits home for many of us. Thanks for sharing and I hope I'll hear from you again.

Wild Thing

And thy desire shall be to thy husband and he shall have rule over thee. Gen. 3:16b

I have needs; I have desires
Not sure why such things light my fires
As a teen I thought I was alone
Found out different when I was grown

I need a man of probity
To help bring out the best in me
Sometimes I can’t stop playing the shrew
I want him to cure me with little ado

I want him to pull me over his knee
Use his hand to restore harmony
He’ll use the same hand to brush away my tears
Hold me while the emotional storm clears

I’ll look into his eyes, promise to be good
He’ll promise to help me, no matter my mood
Do not misinterpret, I don’t crave abuse
Don’t want to be a puppet for a man to misuse

I want a man willing to lead
Only then will my destructive habits flee
I want to get the best from my life
I need him to help me not to cause strife

I need him to be tender, but also to feel
When I’ve pushed him too far, his hand turn to steel
I need him to be able to take a stand
Confident enough to take command

I don’t want to lead from behind
I need him strong enough to make me mind
To physically redirect my strife
Transforming this wild thing to obedient wife

  1. Thanks to the raader for sharing the poem. It really captured her desires. I just hope she finds the right man to transform her into an obedient wife. And the first step is letting him know about her desires.

  2. PK, I think we all know that feeling of aloneness and thinking that we are weird.
Thank your reader for a wonderful poem, I hope she finds what she is seeking.
I can't imagine how I came to miss your last post.
Great that you are going to have some alone time, make sure that you put it to good use.
The town in which I live has Baptist and Methodist chapels galore, we don't have a sex shop in town, there may be one, an Ann Summers, in Truro. There is, I've just Googled it, it is required to have blacked out windows and is viewed with great suspicion as a den of iniquity.
    Thank god for the internet.
Have a good week dear girl.
    Love and warm hugs,
    Paul.

  3. What a wonderful poem. I do think we have all experienced feeling "alone" and sometimes I still do but it helps to know all out here who understand and appreciate and accept...

  4. Dear Wild Thing and PK

Very well put! Many of us in this community totally understand exactly what you are saying. I personally understand all too well and am happy to be caught often enough... with my pants... well actually that happens after I've admitted my wrong doings. It took many years for us as PK can attest to! But we arrived and I know you will as well. Be wild and discerning and soon you will be being saved from yourself! lol KayLynn

  6. FD,
I agree that she captured what we all want very well. I bet she will be able to tell her man the next time.

    Paul,
I was a lonely feeling when I thought I was the only one with these feelings so yes! Hurray for the internet for finding each other - and toys!

    Terps,
Isn't it great to know we are not alone.

    KayLynn,
You and I both know how long it can take to open up and then the year to make them really understand! But if I knew then what I know now I would have started talking about it when we were dating!

    Ronnie,
I do thank her and I hope she will come out and talk to us - it really does help.
