I know we made it through the alphabet but there are always things to be grateful for. I think all of my readers have to know that I am always and forever grateful for Nick, LJ and Mollie. But each Tuesday I want to try and name some things I am grateful for that I don’t take the time to think of everyday. Just a few each week and I hope many of you will try the same thing.
This week I am grateful for having a rare form of arthritis. It was so bad for a time that finding the correct doctor and medicine to keep it in check made me appreciate being pain free in a way I never had realized before. Getting a second chance at life, so it seemed, I gained the courage to google spanking on the internet and come out to Nick. Without the pain I would never have realized what a joy it was to feel good and had the courage to initiate the wonderful changes in our marriage!
I am grateful for every friend I have met on the internet. I have gained from everyone who has ever written me, spoken on the phone and especially grateful for those I have been able to meet face to face. The visit later this week is one I have been dreaming of for a year now.
I’m also grateful that my house is clean!!! I LOVE a clean house, not enough to clean it most of the time but it’s great when it’s all so neat. Got it clean for the reunion and trying to keep it that way for The Rowdy Old Pervs (ROP)!!
Diet Update – yuck! I gained 1.4 pounds last week. Real life kept me away from the gym and with both kids here I tended to eat more lunch than usual. The reunion (which occurred after the weigh in) provided ton’s of great food. The one good piece of news is that Monday morning my weight had not gone up any. Of course eating is going to be on my ‘to do’ list for this coming weekend too so cross your fingers. Gain or lose the weekend will be wonderful and the next week will be time enough to get back to the gym and diet regiment.
PK: Funny how life works that the arthritis led to improving your life.
ReplyDeleteAnd do you get a spanking for gaining 1.4 pounds? Sounds like you're earned one.

PK, as much as you've said your scales are flukey, I wonder how you can let one weekly number dictate your fate. I know it'd be more work, but have you considered daily weighing and averaging for the week? Some programs recommend it because of normal variances.
ReplyDeleteAs to the gratitude, I had the same idea, to continue beyond the alphabet. It's in the plan for my new site. I certainly understand how you can be grateful for something negative like that. It's a wonderful quality to be able to find the positive in any situation. :)
PK, gratitude is always a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI suppose I am a rowdy old perv, though not as rowdy as I used to be.
I'm sure that Nick will help you lose that waight gain.
Love and warm hugs,
Paul.
Florida Dom,
ReplyDeleteYou do need to look for good where you can find it. I did get a little spanking for it but there has just been no privacy for anything more.
K,
An average is not a bad idea. I might try that. A quote from the Bible I always liked 'In everything give thanks'. I can't always do it but it sure is worth a try!
Paul,
Nick is understanding (sometimes too much so) with all our company and everything. I guess when I go back to work (sob) things will get back to normal.
I wished I was joining the loudy old pervs, sounds like you will have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry about the weight, have fun and I'm sure Nick will help you deal with it after.
Love.
Ronnie

Pk, so glad you did find the diagnosis and the correct meds. One your life is so much better, I am sure and then also the much added benefit that you were able to tell Nick how you felt.
