Welcome to Saturday Spankings! In today’s snippet from Secrets on the River, Cassie is still paying the penalty for pulling a practical joke on Lily. After talking with Lily, Tom told Cassie she needs to stay in the bedroom and contemplating ways of combating boredom other than picking on Lily.
“Lily said she’s not quite ready to sit and eat with you and Sue and I can’t blame her. So, she’s eating with the family tonight and you and Sue can eat in your rooms.” With that pronouncement, Tom turned and left the room.
Anger began to fester up in Cassie, but it didn’t get far. Amusement and grudging respect were taking its place. This had to be Lily’s doing, getting them back for the rat and doing a damn good job at it. In truth, Cassie knew she could walk right out of her room and eat anything she wanted from the kitchen and go sit by the river if she wished. Tom wouldn’t actually stop her. But she knew he would be disappointed in her. He’d feel she could dish out a good joke but wasn’t taking the payback with good graces.
With a sigh, Cassie took herself into the closet to sort out items that could be donated. She could at least do that while Sue was probably stuck in bed fuming even more than Cassie was.
The smell of the standing rib roast was driving her crazy. Lily didn’t fix it often and Cassie’s mouth watered. Lily always made her garlic mashed potatoes with it and there was fresh asparagus in the refrigerator. Lily was no doubt fixing her classic southern biscuits too. There was also a chocolate cake baked that very morning, waiting to be cut. Cassie sighed again and looked at her watch.
Finally, several days later it seemed to Cassie, Lily came in with a dinner tray. “Bless your heart, Lily! I’m dying of starvation. I’m so sorry about our little trick. Are we forgiven?”
“I ain’t decided yet,” Lily replied sharply. “I wish y’all could learn to behave yourselves, is all. Mr. Tom say you got to eat in here. I done cut it up for you. Holler if you want more.”
“Thank you, Lily! I really am sorry,” Cassie told her contritely.
Lily gave a non-committal grunt and left.
Hurrying to the little table, Cassie quickly lifted the plate cover only to stand gaping in disbelief. There on her best china, with one of her finest linen napkins folded alongside, was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, neatly cut into four triangles and an Oreo cookie for dessert.
“Lily, nooo…” Cassie wailed. “Tom, please…” she cried going to the door of the bedroom.
“You hush that yellin’ and eat what’s set before you! Hear me?” Lily called to her.
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
And, of course, the links -
