Welcome to Saturday Spankings. In today’s snippet from Secrets on the River, Jenny and Lane stopped by to get Lane’s nephew, Ryder, before talking with Lane’s dad about the twins. They knew Ryder was often at his grandparents’ home and they wanted to know what he might have heard. Lane’s dad wasn’t pleased with what he was hearing.
Cal insisted on going to the house with his dad. Jenny, Lane and Ryder went too.
When they entered the kitchen, they saw Elly sitting at the island with her head in her hands. Caleb went to her and put his arm around her. After a minute, he asked her, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
Elly just shook her head.
“Charlotte, Savannah, are you here?” he called.
“Oh, Caleb, please don’t,” Elly begged.
“Hush now,” he told her.
The twins both paled as they saw who was gathered in the kitchen. Their father wasted no time. “Did you tell my wife to ‘shut-up’ this morning? Have you been saying ugly, disrespectful things to her for months? Did you refuse to give your mother your phone and knock her to the ground when she tried to take it?”
Charlotte seemed to gulp like a fish out of water. “Daddy,” she cried. “Don’t listen to them. They’re lying, trying to get us into trouble. Tell him, Mama!”
“I’m asking you. Have you cursed at my wife? Did you refuse to give her your phone and then shove her down?”
“Daddy, you don’t understand,” Savannah began. “Mama picks on us all the time, she never lets up.”
Caleb put his hand up in a ‘stop’ gesture. “You two don’t live here anymore. You have ten minutes to gather what you need for the next few days. You have a room at Mrs. Tanner’s for two weeks. I’m paying. After that, you’re on your own.”
The girls looked stunned. “You mean after two weeks, you expect us to live on the streets?” Charlotte asked, a touch of sarcasm in her voice.
“You both have some savings and you’re fully capable of supporting yourselves, like any other adult, with full time jobs,” he answered calmly.
“I’m saving that money for a car,” Charlotte snapped.
Everyone was quiet for a long moment. Jenny laid a hand on Cal’s arm, afraid he was going to explode any second.
Into the long silence, Caleb spoke. “Now you have eight minutes.”
Savannah turned to her mother. “Mama, please. We’re sorry. Are you going to let him just throw us out?”
“I’m making this decision as the head of our family. Now hurry and get your things,” Caleb said firmly.
Charlotte turned in fury. Savannah, upset and trembling, followed her into their bedroom.
Caleb turned back to Elly and asked again, “Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I don’t know,” she answered in a near whisper. “I… maybe I was embarrassed that I couldn’t handle it.”
“We handle things together,” Caleb reminded her. “Now, you go on into the bedroom. Lie down and try to relax. You don’t need to see them leave. Then we need to talk.”
These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.
Cal’s Law series
Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.
On the River series
In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!
I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.
Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.
And, of course, the links -
