I have been a wife and mother for over twenty years. Now I am becoming my husband's lover, too.
We owe it all to my fellow bloggers who gave me the courage to come out to my husband as a spanko.
I do feel like this is a New Beginning for us.

Saturday Spankings - Interesting questions

Welcome to Saturday Spankings. In today’s snippet from Undercurrents on the River, Allie and Jenny had offered to speak with Sophie. Not sure how much of the birds and bees talk she had in the past, they felt that they could relate to her more easily than Annie could. But they soon see that they may have waited too long for this little talk.

Jenny, Allie and Cassie stood in the cabin doorway. The three of them were stunned at the unexpected scene before them. Ryder and Sophie were cuddled on the couch. Ryder’s back was to them as he kissed Sophie. His body blocked Sophie’s view of their audience. His shirt was off, and they could see that Sophie’s was unbuttoned. She wasn’t wearing a bra and Ryder’s hand cupped one small breast.

The music playing on Sophie’s phone wasn’t loud, but between it and their intense concentration, evidently neither had heard the door open. Jenny let a beat go by before she quietly said, “Guys?”

Her quiet word had the effect of a shotgun blast in the room. The children leapt up from the couch and Sophie clutched her open shirt around her. “We…we weren’t doing anything,” Sophie stammered.

“Yeah, we’ve been standing here watching you not doing anything,” Jenny murmured. After a pause, she continued, “Umm…Ryder, why don’t you go? We want to talk to Sophie for a minute.”

Ryder grabbed his shirt, his desperation to get away was palpable. But he stopped himself before he took a step toward the door. “No,” he said quietly. “I’m not leaving if y’all are going to fuss at Sophie.”

“Nobody’s fussing,” Allie spoke up. “It just seems like a good time for a girls’ talk.”

Ryder looked at Sophie. She nodded back at him. “We’ll talk later, okay?”

“You sure?” he asked.

“Yeah, go on. I’ll text soon.”

With that Ryder left, but looked back at Sophie, with a guilt written all over his face.

The awkward silence in the little cabin continued for a moment. “Why don’t we all sit?” Cassie quietly suggested.

Sophie quickly buttoned her shirt and sat on the couch. Almost without thinking, she drew her knees up under her chin and hugged them to her chest in a self-protective way. Still in shock at being walked in on, Sophie began crying quietly.

“We really weren’t doing anything, except kissing,” she told them, sniffling. “We weren’t having sex and we weren’t going to.”

“Okay,” Jenny said. “But you were doing a little more than kissing. Have the two of you had sex?” she asked directly.

“No!” Sophie insisted. “We really haven’t. We just… you know, mess around some.”

Cassie looked over at Jenny and Allie. Obviously, they hadn’t given their offered ‘talk’ with Sophie much thought.

It was Sophie who spoke up. “I know you all are probably mad. But before you tell me all the reasons for not doing … stuff, can I ask you all something?” Her tears were drying up and she took on a determined look.

“Sure,” Jenny and Allie answered eagerly, not knowing how to begin themselves.

“Well, it’s just that everywhere you look –TV, books, movies, Tic-tok, Twitter, – everywhere, someone is saying how wonderful sex is, but in the next breath they tell you not to do it. You know no one waits until they’re married any more. Ryder and I are both virgins so there are no diseases we’re gonna catch. I’m on birth control because of bad cramps, so there’s no baby worries. Why can’t we enjoy sex just like y’all do?” Jenny and Allie exchanged troubled glances. It seemed Sophie had put more thought into the questions she wanted to ask than they had put into what they wanted to tell her.

“Did you all wait until you were married?” Sophie asked.

Maybe Sophie should be a lawyer someday, Jenny mused. She no longer seemed as embarrassed or uncomfortable with this talk as she had just moments ago. Jenny wished she could say the same for herself.

She and Allie shook their heads to Sophie’s question.

Sophie pressed on. “I think I love Ryder and I think he loves me, and we know we’re way too young to be thinking about marriage, but what’s wrong with us having sex if it’s so wonderful? We’re not stupid. Shouldn’t it be our decision?”

Jenny and Allie seemed a little stymied at her questions and not exactly sure what to tell her.

Next week Cassie will weigh in with her answer to this question.

Undercurrents on the River (A Cassie’s Family Story)

Book four in the On the River Series

Cassie and Tom are happy being grandparents, not that this distinction is calming Cassie down any. She is still loving her life with Tom and enjoying time with Sue and Annie. Other family members are moving to The Landing, with Drew and Jackson returning. And puppy love seems to have taken hold of Ryder and Sophie. After Ryder shares the ‘family secret’, that all the men on The Landing spank their wives at times, the young people try a little experimenting themselves. Is a third spanking generation in the making?

However, when Cassie falls into a serious depression, none of the extended family  know how to help. She won’t talk to Tom or Sue about the cause and continues to sink deeper and deeper into herself. Cal has a suggestion to help, but Tom is a firm “No” to the idea. Will help come from a very unlikely source?

Cassie’s Space series

These ten books introduce Cassie. She is my friend and has been since she wandered into my imagination fifty-four years ago. She is married to Tom, the man who loves her in a way that makes my heart nearly burst with happiness for the two of them. He loves her, guides her, protects her and when necessary, spanks the fool out of her. I’ve been told that their adventures are exciting, funny and realistic. Their love-life is passionate and fulfilling – but you’ll hear no graphic details, Cassie is a lady and giving too much detail would not be proper.

Cal’s Law series

Cal and Jenny are one of my younger couple. The spanking in their relationship began mere minutes after they met, and Cal hasn’t let up much since. There relationship has it’s struggles, but these two are meant to be together. They live in the same town as Cassie and Tom and there is a lot of interactions among the character of both series. Jenny is not as reluctant as Cassie to openly discuss her sex life, so you’ll find a little more spice in this series.

On the River series

In this, my latest series, everyone is around – all the characters I’ve grown to love over the years are living on the area of the river that they call The Landing. Their lives, their adventures, even their spankings sometimes intertwine. By this time in the series, I’m just typing as my characters tell me what’s happening. And I love it!

These books do take you through time as it passes, but please don’t think you have to read them in order. Start anywhere. Just grab one and give it a try. If you are a spanking enthusiast, I know you'll enjoy it.

I’ll close today with a review on the latest book. This is one of the finest reviews I’ve ever had.

Starting with the first Cassie book until now, I have never been disappointed or failed to wait expectantly for the next one.

Very good questions from Sophie, she makes some good points. She seems to have a good head on young shoulders. Hard to argue.

    1. I'm sure lots of kids would ask these same things. What's a parent to say?

    1. Cassie may not always act like she has good sense, but she's really pretty good on advice.
